Ramada Plaza Resorts Care Travel SCAM & Ripoff Innocent Disabled Ft. Lauderdale Florida

I am writing because my Disabled Sister was sucked into this Ripoff SCAM!!! She never filled out anything! As to how they got her info, we are still asking that question.... but how does every other telemarketer get your info?... of coarse, I'm being sarcastic!

My sister has been contacting the RPR since last Feb., 2004 when her husband had a major heart attack. I have been trying to assist her in getting the 3 payments they drafted from her bank account, a total of $261. My sister is on A fixed income & she was told that no monies would be taken from her account until she received the package w/ the video.... which she never received! They informed her that the $698 package was only a vacation package & never told her that it was anything to do w/ Time Shares! Of coarse, my sister now realizes the mistake of even talking w/ this scum of a company! My sister is too sick to handle this by herself, so I spent the last 2 hours on the phone w/ a 3 way call off & on with 6 or more different Reps from RPR requesting to talk to someone that could provide her a refund, & each time we had to tell her story to each one of them & never was connected to a Supervisor as we requested!

The mistake my sister made was to trust them w/ her Debit card info, but she never signed anything agreeing to a commitment... she wanted to view the materials first... which never arrived! I even ask them to at least provide a voucher to be used on a cruise equivalent to what she had paid them & all they wanted to do was offer her to upgrade & pay them more money! We finally told them that we demand a refund but they still kept putting us on hold...I guess to take a cig. break & discuss what to say to us... or perhaps just let us wait on hold.

I found this website & wasn't surprised to read all the things they had done to others, as it was just like the way they treated my sister.... even one of the Reps tried to get me to hang up..saying that I was not needed... I politely informed her that I was assisting my sister at her request, as did my sister, & that it was none of her business & that I would remain on the line to assist her & be a witness, as they continued to say that my sister had said things she had not... even though they knew I was listening to every conversation & documenting all that was said.

Something major needs to be done to stop this Ripoff & I plan to do anything & everything I can to assist her in doing this! I'm contacting the State Attorney's office in FL & the local news in my area, as well as any talk shows who will listen to our story.
