The phone calls all sounded sincere and my hubby being the nice guy he is wanted to book a vacation to surprise me. All through the calls he was assured that the combined trips would be over $5000 with our choice of dates to travel.

He did check out 'Ramada' as encouraged by one of the represenatives and it seemed okay, but you know that little feeling deep inside that tells you that some things sound just too good to be true....

Sure enough, once we received the information in the mail and typed in Ramada Plaza Resorts - this website came up and we saw that we had been taken in too. Thanks to the comments posted here , and that getting the charges reversed were possible, we called this morning the 1800 number this morning. Started off by saying we had changed our minds after reading the material and realizaing that the calls were misrepresentations - not a vacation but method to get us to buy more.

It took about 5 minutes and two representatives before we were given a cancellation number and a promise that the charges on our credit card would be reversed in 7 - 10 days.

It was surprisingly easy - too easy. I'm expecting a representative to call back any time tonight and try to convince us not to cancel our 'reservations.' We will be calling back to check up on how our refund is being processed in a day or two and will update this site.

Thank you, thank you all of you who posted to this site and let us know that not only was it a bad idea to book, but also to believe that the vacation is actually worthwhile. If you make the mistake of believing their sell job - pick up the phone and call back to demand a refund.

Demanded refund from Ramada Plaza Resorts and got it.

After calling back four monrings in a row, the charges were finally reversed on our credit card. We also followed up and called our credit card company to cancel the card and ensure that charges were not applied to our card again. Turns out the credit card company has other people who were taken in as well, and plans to file fraud charges against Ramada Plaza resorts for what we all know now is misrepresentation. Lesson learned - if it sounds too good to be true - it is! And don't think you need to be polite to that fast taking sales person at the other end of the phone. Say NO and hang up. Thanks to RipOff report and all of the postings to help us get results. Hope your demand for a refund works out too.
