#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

What did you expect????

AUTHOR: Kc - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 29, 2010

They have another sales office in Largo, Fl - I worked there a week till I quit because I figured out it wasn't worth even the 398 - 498 pp price. First shame on Ramada for even allowing their brand on the "resort" in Ft.Lauderdale - been there. It is on Commercial drive in a ghetto just off the interstate 5 miles to the beach...it is an old worn out hotel... the Traveler Coupon book offers a room for 59.00 a night plus tax ( which you would still pay with the purchased package) at 11% comes to lets say 70.00 - you get 3 nights or 210.00 total - then you go on a cruise... the Imperial Magisty was a nice cruise ship in 1950 - in 2010 it's 60 years old and despite the "makeovers" it's an old rust bucket - the Bahama's is a 4 hour cruise - many offer the junket cruise ( no cabin) for 99.00 hoping they will make it up on 10.00 drinks 3.00 soda pop and gambling... then you get a few days in Orlando!!!! OK - John Young Parkway is NOT next to Disney or Universal... this Ramada is another old 50's hotel - a bit nicer then Ft.Lauderdale - food isn't bad but again Travel coupon books offer hotels at 30.00 a night - 49.00 will get you a decent Comfort Inn or Best Western. Even if you add 50.00 a night that is 100.00 for 2 nights. So grand total... 410.00 you can do the vacation yourself WHENEVER YOU WANT! Not having to book in advance by months....90 days, not being upsold...that is the gimmick - and not having to take a Time Share - Vacation Ownership - Interval Ownership or what ever they want to call it - all the same thing... tour. The marketing company gets a kick back from everyone they book - that takes the tour - and you have to take the tour... People - don't buy this silly " DREAM VACATION PACKAGE" >>>> it's a nightmare! NO WAY will you ever get your money back... Short of exhausting yourself trying - and if you succeed...the effort and time dedicated to getting your refund - you could of made 3X as much working at McDonalds for minimum wage. So not worth it. The company is real... they will mail you the vouchers... and hope you NEVER actually take the vacation. But if you do... they are going to upsell you - send you on a time share tour - and you will find you didn't really save anything.

After All These Years It Is The Same Scam..

AUTHOR: Antony - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, August 15, 2010

OMG !!!! I worked as a Sales Rep...with Ramada Plaza Resorts in Fort Lauderdale from April, 2003 to August, 2004. Six years ago.

I am still schocked that they are still running this same scam and still getting away with it.

At that time, I was living in Fort Lauderdale and I could not have gotten a good job. So I decided to work there because it was walking distance from my home and it was straight commission based.

At first, I was very excited in selling this vacation package, because we were paid $100 per sale. So I thought 1 sale per night by seven nights per week will be perfect for me until I get a better job.

One night my co worker who was sitting next to me had a customer on the phone who was on Rip Off Report checking out this Company. So after the customer declined the vacation, he turned to me and told me that he lost the sale because the lady went online and checked out the Company.

At that time, I had no knowledge of Rip Off Report. So the next day I went online and checks the feedbacks on Ramada Plaza Resorts Fort Lauderdale/Orlando Vacations. My mind became very sick when I read all of the feedback. I could not see the vacation any more.

I then went an visited the hotel in person, it was a garbage dump. I could not believe that this is the hotel. I went to the Buffet Area where people were supposed to have 5 Star dinig for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. It was nothing that we had to describe to people on the phone.

I did not want to see more. I went to the Port to check the Cruise Ship. It was a " Steel Bucket". I was totally convinced that this was a rip off and within one week, I decided to leave that job. I was prepared to strave and to be homeless than to sell such a vacation to hard working Americans and Canadians.

Now six years after I am on Rip Off Report and they are still selling the same package to people and still ripping them off. This Company needs to be closed by the Government permanently, and the executives need to be banned from holding senior positions in other Companies.

They are the scum of the society to be ripping off hard working people with this scam.

Please tell everyone, everyone that you meet to not buy this vacation. Even if you have to put a sign outside of your home, do so, so that the entire America will not buy this vacation package.

Thank you.
