We received a call from this company stating that if we would answer a couple of questions for their survey we would be entered into a draw for a trip to Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and a 2 day Bahama Cruise. SURPRISE! we "won". We were notified by email the very next morning telling us that we did indeed win and a representative would be contacting us in a few days. We received a call from Amanda McIntosh that evening to explain all of the details in this wonderful opportunity. Not only did we win this 14 night/15 day trip but if we agreed to all of the fees, taxes, etc., etc., we would also receive a 3 day/2 night trip for two to Las Vegas and a 5 day/4 night trip for two to Porta Viarta(sic) Mexico. We had to give her our credit card information so she could "secure" our place on the cruise and in the hotel, and we had to do it tonight. Hmmm...a call asking for our credit card information not initiated by us? No, sorry. My husband told her this but she still tried to use high pressure to get him to give her the information. When she finally realized that she would not be getting this information SHE hung up on US!
When we first got the call last night and answered the 2 or 3 questions they asked (none of which suggested there would be any hidden costs or asking for any information that was not already public) we were under the impression that it was the RAMADA INN that was offering this chance to win. Is this company using the name RAMADA to give people this wrong impression? Perhaps the RAMADA INN should be looking into this company because they are not doing any good for the reputation of the INN. People will remember 'RAMADA' and associate it with the hotels but will not likely remember the whole name of the company, which is RAMADA PROMOTIONS & IMPERIAL MAJESTY'S CRUISE LINES.
Remember, if YOU did not call THEM, Do NOT give them any personal information or banking information of ANY kind. Be safe, be smart.
