SEO Reputation Management at its best!

Please beware of this staffing/placement firm and avoid if at all possible. My experience with this Troy office was that they presented themselves very unprofessionally and unorganized.

Specifically, there are several issues at hand.

First, when placed on assignment in a sales position, I had found out several weeks into employment that they withhold aprox 50% of all commissions earned, although there was nothing written in my agreement that addressed this. I was told by fellow co-workers who had only discovered this exorbitant deduction when they received their pay.  A professional staffing firm would be sure to have this proceduce understood prior to placing an employee on assignment. Not Randstad. Seems my "recruiter" didn't find it necessary to insure I had all the information, or was simply too much of a coward to reveal this upfront.

Second, My assignment ended suddenly after I had successfully sold multiple contracts. No explanation was given. Then, I had to contact Randstad to make sure they had received my commission report.

Guess what? No report was forwarded. I followed up only to find out that no communication was taking place at all between Randstad and my assigned company, Entertainment Publications, LLC.

Yep, the Entertainment coupon book outfit.  Avoid this company as well. They are a disorganized sales/advertising  organization that is in severe need of competent management.

Even though I had sold multiple Entertainment.com online "daily deals" to multiple merchants, they had unilaterally decided to ignore the contract and the confirmed sales that were properly closed, paperwork completed, and submitted to account management...without even notifying me.  So, all the while I'm awaiting and expecting my deserved commissions only to find out that they were somehow "rejected".

You see, this is what they attempted to explain to Nick Raubenolt (my recruiter who placed me here). This was obviously an attempt to weasel out of paying commissions owed.

How do I know this? I contacted the owners/merchants I had sold the daily deals to and they were shocked to hear me explain that their daily deal was apparently rejected. They proceeded to inform me that not only was their deal "rejected", they had been contacted by account management at Entertainment Publications to confirm their "run date" for their daily deal!!

Sooo...when I notified Nick Raubenolt at Randstad of the series of events, he had requested contracts/paperwork from me  showing my sales to evidence commissions owed. Fine.
Upon providing the contracts, I get a response back that Entertainment had rejected the sales WITHOUT any explanation as to why..especially since I had already confirmed legitimate sale with vendor/merchant.

Now...if Nick Raubenolt was at all interested handling this blatant abuse in a professional manner, he would have dug in and inquired as to how several documented sales evidenced by  binding contracts can just unilaterally be rejected.

Why wouldn't he ask for an explanation? Please explain why the sale was rejected.

Instead, he simply followed up by claiming that the sales manager simply claimed that the sales were rejected, and no commissions are owed.

Not only is this blatant BS, it fails to address WHY they were "supposedly" rejected.

There IS no reason to explain why because the sales have not been rejected.

Entertainment Publications, Entertainment.com deals, Entertainment Promotions LLC are all unscrupulous deceitful and dishonest penny-pinching organizations that routinely abuse employees and they will experience high employee turnover as long as this crap continues to go on.

Ranstad USA is as guilty as Entertainment Publications for neglecting to provide proper follow up to secure their contract-employees rightful compensation.

Avoid both organizations.

AUTHOR: NickRaubenolt - ()

My name is Nick Raubenolt and I am a former employee of Todays Office Professioanls and Randstad and was mentioned in this write up. I wanted to clear a few things up. Randstad acquired TOP in 2011. I was then a recruiter and was in charge of this account. I placed this individual on assignment with us at one of our clients. This employee was correct in the error made in his withholdings. They were being classified as Bonus and not Commission as that is all Randstad would allow. I worked ad nauseum to rectify this issue and forwarded this issue up the chain of command as high as my Regional VP. The answer was always the same; that is how Randstad paid bonuses.

I did speak with the VP of Human Resources of my customer and he told me the conctracts were cancelled. Why wouldn't I believe him? We had done millions of dollars of business together over 5 years and why would he balk at paying $150.00 in commissions if they were owed? Simple answer, he wouldn't.

I wish you good luck in your future endeavors sir. I will contact my lawyer and disucss slander chargers for this message.
