I met Rashid Skaf (the former CEO of AMX) when he was still the CEO of AMX in Dallas. I was in the midst of evaluating a large purchase from AMX for a system that would cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars. Mr. Skaf showed me the system and along with his team and bragged how the system could do a ton of things and included the fact that he had it installed at his residence too.
He indicated to me that the system would work and that I should purchase the AMX product over Crestron or Savant. I took his advice. 4 years later, after having spent hundreds of thousands of dollars AMX has left me to hang dry. Rashid Skaf in the meanwhile no longer even works for AMX. AMX got sold to Harman which was acquired by Samsung. In the meanwhile, I am here stuck at my residence with equipment from AMX that still sits in my garage with holes in my walls.
Rashid Skaf, you completely misled me and your team at AMX misled me by forcing me to use an integrator (yes forcing me). I think its absolutely absurd that AMX gets away with this type of behavior. I hope others will be cautious in dealing with Rashid Skaf and/or AMX.
