Raven Media - SBA Express - Grant Search Assistant Raven Media Ripoff FRAUDULENT BILLING Nationwide

I am a book keeper for a small business and noticed a 29.95 charge on our bank statement. (29.95) IW/SBA EXPRESS 800-986-2640 UTI asked the owner if she knew anything about it and she did not.

I called the number listed after the charge and was greeted with a barely english speaking male who could not find an account and refused to send me to his supervisor unless I gave him my credit card number (to find my account of corse...)

He and I went in circles with me explaining that I don't have an account and want to know why I am being charged, and he would't give me any information until he was able to find my account. I gave him my name, business name, business address, phone number, city and state, an alternate name it may have been under, and after all of it he still couldn't find me and wanted me to give him my credit card number-still refusing to transfer me off to his supervisor. I finally ended the call.

I was really bothered by it, and called back. This time I spoke to Christopher. I asked the company name-Raven Media (neither call said the company name in anything). I gave him all the same information (name, company name, address, alternate name, phone number) and also an e-mail address. He could not locate my account. He wanted to take my credit card number also (again to find the account...sure). I declined to give it out stating that they have already made fraudulent charges on it. He said nothing so I thanked him for his time and hung up.

I googled the information from my bank statement and was lead to this website where I learned that this was not the first charge that has come from this company (thanks guys, really!).

I searched the bank account for the other charges that are usually with this one, and well, found another phone number. 866-370-7270. I called.

I spoke to a barely english speaking lady named Joanne. I asked what company she worked for. She told me Raven Media (again they did not give it out unless I asked. We went through the whole routine...Name, business name, phone number, alternate name, e-mail... She found nothing that matched me...she did however give me several addresses (street, city, state) of people who have the same name as I do...

She asked me for the credit card number. I told her she cannot have it due to the fraudulent charges already in place. Much to my surprise she said she could do it with only the last four digits! Wow! I gave them to her only to discover that there was still no account. I thanked her for her time and hung up.

I read the same word for word rebuttle from Ryan Riddel on several complaints against the company, and decided to call the number left in there (not the 800 number, his cell number-brave man). There was no answer. He probably shut it off (I can only assume after reading so many complaints just like mine). I left him a voice mail.

So far, I have had no response from the company that is helpful, but my bank has taken care of me. Maybe some of these reports will be helpful in closing this company down... If I ever hear back from them (doubtfull) I will update this for you all.
