I traded in my old car for a new one April 2nd. The dealership flubbed up my finance papers, so we re-did them April 9th. The dealership was rude and un-accomodative.

They won't give me my check for the $1950 in sales tax that I financed. April 27th, I hired an attorney. May 1st, my temp tags expire, I have no money to register my vehicle, and the dealership is unwilling to help me.

#3 Consumer Suggestion

Kyleit is now my turn to help you. Car dealers hate it when I fire up my computer!

AUTHOR: Stick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 19, 2004

Kylesometimes when a car dealer starts acting like they are pissed off, they might fear that their scam is coming apart. Maybe they feel that their scam is coming out of the bag for the wrong people to see.

If I were you I would contact your finance company and request a copy of all and I mean ALL documentation including the credit app that the dealer sent to the finance company. You might get a big surprise once you get it if your finance company has the balls to send it to you!

You say that you feel that the "dealership flubbed up your finance papers" Many car dealers are playing with the car buyers credit apps before they send them to banks. Want Proof?

Go to this Rip Off Report mentioned below and look at the second pic real good. I have a copy of this ladies credit app. She sent it to me. I feel that the car dealer played with the numbers in a big way from what I seen. One might call it "Banking Fraud"

Maybe one day banks will wake up and contact the car buyers before they approve car loans and double check for correct info and correct INCOME INFO! We have to keep in mind that there are many deceptive car dealers out there.
http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff52158.htm

If you find that once you get a copy of your credit app and see false info in someone else's hand writing you might want to contact your state banking commissioner's office. Many car dealers are making sure that their sales people are filling out the Buyer's credit app.

If they have the sales people fill it out, it makes it hard for you to dispute what is on the app later. Car dealer can say "Hey that's what they told us" But if you fill it out ALL of IT and find changes made in someone else's hand writing you have FRAUD! Many car dealers do this all the time.

The problem is too many attorneys are too dumb to spot this kind of FRAUD! Just like C.S.I. Diversion. If a good smart attorney understood C.S.I. Diversion and how it works they could get the victim BIG MONEY if the buyer never got any safety recalls and had a bad wreck because of a defective car. Too many law firms do not take the time to understand how deceptive car dealers can be!

Kyle I trust you will use this contact info that I have posted for you!

Too many car dealers think that they can do what ever they want and get away with it. They all know that the general media will NOT do any indepth stories on "Auto Dealer Scams" They all love the big advertising money they get from car dealers. If you want me to post some media contact info for you, just post a request and I will help you put the media to the test.

No Progress, no money

AUTHOR: Kyle - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 18, 2004

It is now almost two months since this whole thing began, and the dealership has gotten even more rude and unreasonable to work with. Their new excuse is that they are witholding the money because they lost out on a rebate that was submitted incorrectly. (I found out through the grapevine that the rebate wasn't even available on my vehicle) The spokesperson for Ray Adams said that she would send me the check less the rebate, and of course I told her "no." First of all, I have to pay interest on that money and if she keeps the difference. I'm sure she doesn't plan on paying me back the interest. Second, I refuse to be schmoozed by this poorly run, poorly staffed, resemblance of a business. I know my rights and I will continue to fight for them and my money. If it comes to a lawsuit, as much as I hate to, I will sue them.

Ray Adams are one of the worst Sleazy, sleazy, and slimy!

AUTHOR: Erica - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, May 08, 2004

I went to Ray Adams Toyota in Raytown, Mo last year to look at a 2004 Solara. It was a complete waste of my time and thank god I did not buy a vehicle from those crooks. The Sales Manager tried to feed me a bogus story about what was contained in the Carfax report on the vehicle I was considering trading in in order to justify the price they were going to give me. None of it was true and I found that out after pulling my own carfax report. They were overly aggressive and rude once they figured out I was not going to be suckered. Thank god I only lost time and just walked away from the sale. Sleazy, sleazy, and slimy!
