On October 12, 2006, my husband and I purchased a 50-inch RCA TV with an inhome warranty. On February 5,2007 I called RCA to tell them I had a problem with my tv, and was told there would be no problem with them sending someone to fix it. I called the numbers they gave me to find that these businesses were either out of business or did not make house calls. I call RCA back and was given the number to (Thomason) Consumer Relations, I was told they would find someone to repair my tv.

I have called Consumer Relations more that I have my mom in the last 6 months. This facility is located in the Phillipines and they have no knowledge of geological areas in the States. The have also changed my case number five(5) times. At first I was assured that someone would come to my home and fix my TV.

After six months, I was then told if I wanted my TV fixed I would have to carry it fifty(50) miles to have it repaired. They said the warranty information that pertained to this is in the operational book.

I purchased the 50-inch TV at a WalMart and the warranty information was not displayed on or around the TV and on my receipt it clearly states "In Home Repair". The information is bogus and misleading. If I had known that RCA would not uphold there in-home warranty, I would have purchased another brand.
