My wife and I bought a house in Greystone. This is the first time we have ever bought a new house from a builder. We were told from the real-estate agents that we should write up a spec list and bring it to closing. The items would be fixed after closing, preferably within the first year. We tried calling numerous times for the contractor to work on our spec list. 2 1/2 years later, we still do not have the items on the list fixed. We have called the real estate agent several times and they usually can get hold of Ray. He will not return our calls most of the time and when he has returned our calls, he has set up times for someone to come out and I have waited at home all day on several occassions only for no one to show up. It has been a bad experience for us. We have three pages of items that need to be fixed. My question is this? WHY IS HE STILL BUILDING HOUSES IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF GREYSTONE? EVERYONE I HAVE TALKED TO (AND I HAVE TALKED TO A LOT OF PEOPLE), SAYS THIS GUY HAS DONE THIS TO EVERY HOUSE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. HAD WE HAVE KNOWN THIS, WE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN EVERYTHING DONE BEFORE CLOSING or not bought at all. My other question is why does the real estate people keeping selling for this guy. (MONEY!!!!!!!). Why will Greystone not kick this guy out???? Does anyone have any answers? We just need to know our rights. I feel this is a misrepresentation to the consumers that are buying these houses.
