From: Former Owner of RDI Model and Talent

As I continue to read various statements on this site attacking either personal or corporate integrity or a particular persons morals I am also equally disturb by the hatred of such statements.

These statements for the vast majority are personal and subjective at best and are only opinion by ones personal beliefs. A belief that is not based on the facts or supported by the majority but a wrong that a person feels that has been done to them.

No one can say that your opinion or feelings are in fact wrong but this is not the forum to air your frustrations, anger, hatred or personal opinions.

RDI MODEL and TALENT

When RDI first openned it had no clients, minimum staff and a pure of heart goal. CHANGING THE WAY THE MODELING INDUSTRY DOES BUSINESS by treating clients with respect, dignity, honesty and support.

Respect: Some clients may view or be of the opinion that they were disrespected. However what people don't know is these clients disrespected not only the company but others that worked within. There opinions and position not only destroyed what could have been a good company but perhaps destroyed the dreams of others who believed in RDI.

Dignity: As RDI began to grow, faster than what was thought we always provide a safe working environment where aspiring models can learn, practice and even at times teach to help others. We listened to them and where possible to adapt to what they wanted. Sometimes it wasn't possible but we listened. We often sat down one on one and asked them "how is it going, any concerns" ect.. Everyone at RDI cared and to this date I would challenge anyone to make a statement otherwise.

Honesty: In todays world services and providing those sevices cost money. RDI's pricing was by far the lowest in the industry. We didn't ask for thousands of dollars and we even offered introductory plans for $99 to give the people an opportunity to explore without the cost. The introductory plan include a photo, 4 modeling classes and 1 introductory class to acting.

There has been requests for refunds but people also must understand that once services are provided then that is really it and a person also should give the company to correct if they are not satified.

Refund Refused # 1: The first refund refused was in the amount of $500 for a commercial acting class. After about 6 weeks of the 8 week program the persons mother came in demanding a FULL refund. This person believed the program wasn't progressing and that their child wasn't getting anything out of out. The mother believed their child was talented to the point classes weren't needed. The instructor of the program who has over 20 years of acting experience, a gemini award and about 100 movie credits realized the potential but work was needed. One Saturday afternoon the mother burst into the office yelling and screaming while a meeting was in progress. She was promptly asked to leave the premises and she refused. The police were called and she was escorted off the premises. A refunds was refused for the following reasons (1) 90 percent of the program was completed, (2) threaten to sue RDI and (3) business disruption.

Refund Refused #2: The mother of teenage daughter puts her potentially gift daughter into the full model program ($900) 1 of 3 photoshots were done. The first is always test shooting which was exhaustive. Arrangements were made to have the daughter start the classes but no response and the daughter never showed. The spot was kept open. About 2 months later the mother and her husband showed up at a personal residence demanding a full refund then started scream FRAUD. I would have probably given a partial refund of about $700 but the person came to a personal residence and started screaming and yelling. Now she has posted to this site but she claims that she was polite. Now honestly if you feel you were ripped off when you be polite, of course not you would be upset (in fact I would too). Refund refused on the following grounds (1) services commenced and continued to be offered (2) client refused to utilize the services as per agreement

Refund Refuse #3: A person comes in takes the $99 introductory program takes 3 out of the 4 and indicates its not for him then demands a full refund. Refund refused on the following grounds (1) 75% of the program taken (2) complete photoshoot given

Refund Refused #4:A mother and child take the full acting program $1500. This program was significantly altered in contract that a full refund would be given under certain circumstances and that payments would be divided in 4 equal payments again under contractual agreement. The child however would continously miss class and expected to have private classes instead. Private classes are costly and substantially more. However we extended some private classes so she could get caught up with the rest of the group. She often missed those. The mother after 3 months conceeded and paid RDI the balance owed. Upon final payment RDI again gave her a time, date and place to continue the program but again no show. The child was permanently removed from the program. The mother demanded a full refund. A refund was refused under the following grounds (1) breach of contract (2) class disruption (3) cost of private classes (4) extra-ordinary expense for the corproation

Refund Issued: On one occassion a client paid $99 for the introductory class. Unfortunately due to a move the persons file was misplaced and no futher contact occured. The company apologized and issued a full refund.

Creditor(s): During the course of business RDI opened commercial account with local businesses and advertisers. Due to RDI closure some creditors and amounts owing couldn't be paid.

Metro Newspaper: unpaid account, Rogers Communications: 2 of 3 accounts paid Iron Horse Security Services: paid, Kodiak Security Services: paid

Local Services: Flower Shop: paid

RDI has always done its best to assist in the promotion of their client and to assist in the advancement of their goals. However all to often an individual who believed they had been wrong seeks revenge only thinking of ones self and not others. For those I apologize if you feel that way but honestly its not always someone elses fault.

I am going to provide you an email for anyone wishing to get together for a joint meeting to finally get everything out in the open so that all the people who have left RDI to start other ventures, or continue their carreer are left in peace.

I will assume that if no one responds that no one cares enough to pursue their complaint and that their complaint or concerns are just opinions with no substances.
