On Thursday July 9, shortly after 4pm, Reach Broadband Internet services to the Mason, Texas area ceased. Thirty minutes later by telephone, a Reach representative stated they were aware of the problem and that technicians were responding. The next day, a Reach representative said they were waiting on parts. Over the weekend Reach hired an answering service that knew absolutely nothing about anything. On Monday I was told that the service was interrupted on Monday; correcting that I asked the Reach lady to check her story. She came back on the line to say service would be restored soon. This went on for a week, Reach telling its customers about parts, about AT&T causing all this, and other excuses. Then finally, about a week after the service interruption, the voice on the phone, still blaming AT&T, said Reach expected to be back online in our area by "mid August." She also said that billing was suspended (although I just received a bill) and that I would be offered a discount on further services. Meanwhile, they are advertising in our local newspaper introductory service rates not for existing customers.
This fly-by-night company should not be trusted. They lie. Competitors are available in our area to offer technical services far superior than those of Reach Broadband.
