In the fall of 2012, I received a telephone call from a man who was kind and engaged in civil conversations. He asked how I was doing, how school was going and what it was I did for a living.

He then proceeded to ask if I wanted to subscribe to a trial subscription of three magazines of my choice and that would include a free women's sportswatch. He then transferred my phone call to another representative who proceeded to take my information.

As time went one, I recieved my magazines, but the free watch I had been promised never arrived. Slowly, I began recieving more magazines, ones I did not want in the first place.

They would then proceed to withdraw money from my account without telling me when it happened. This made it difficult for me to pay bills because I thought I had an idea as to how much money I had in my account. I cancelled my debit card to stop payments. I have also cancelled every magazine that have sent me 'final notice' letters, asking me to renew my subscription.

Now, I have recieved a letter from the company say that I owe 283.36 now and in total I owe 761.32.

I am a college student living on my own, paying for my school out of pocket as well as rent, utilities and the basic neccessities that I need. I cannot affor to pay these people the money they want.

The letter is dated 11/01/2014, I recieved it on 11/07/2014 and they say I have ten days to pay what is past due. The letter also states "repeated demands for payment of your just obligation have been ignored." I have yet to recieve such "demands."

Not once have they left a message--if they tried calling. If they attempted to call, reasons as to why I did not answer were probably due to my inability to pick up my phone. I am constantly busy with class, work or other important school activities.

All in all, I cannot make these payments they are demanding, nor will I as they continue to send me magazines that I never wanted in the first place. I just want all of this to go away.
