Real Smart Email slammed my phone bill, meaning they added the service without my consent. It was discovered only when I was cancelling my phone service. I called them and they did not dispute it and offered a full refund. They gave me a authorization number and and it would be refunded in 48 hours. I then paid my phone company the difference since Real Smart told me they could not refund the money to me but only directly to the phone company. Six months later I get a collection letter from the phone company because the amount was not refunded. My bad for not following up for sure.
I called them today and got the run around from a guy that could not verify anything and actually went into a sales pitch trying to sell me more services, ignoring my request to explain the lack of refund. The poor buy was clearly reading from a script in some boiler room call center. He couldn't tell me where stating, "I'm only allowed to tell you that we are offshore." No customer service, no refund, no information. Beware of this company!

After repeated calls and emails, followed by promises come and gone, I finally got a call from a customer support person that led to them sending me a check for the amount owed. I'm holding my breath until the check clears. The explanation was that the customer support person that assured me of the $179 refund and gave me a confirmation number was not authorized to refund more than $30. So they refunded $30 to my phone company and didn't bother to let me know that. So I have a check and damaged credit. There's nothing positive I can say about this company.

No Help From Real Smart Email

Despite their multiples promises of a call within 24 days have ticked away. I called back and again was given the same line. I spoke with a gentleman named Auddy that assured me that this time he would make sure someone called me. It would seem that Real Smart is very efficient at stealing money, but not very good at giving it back.
I've also sent an email to customer support today explaining all my efforts. Not sure what else I can do? Given the number of complaints about this company on the internet, I sure hope there's a class action suit in the works. How do these people sleep at night?

After my first report, the customer service person, "Mark Morris" told me someone from "next level customer serivce" would call me within 24 hours because he could not answer my questions. That time has now passed and I have not heard from anyone. It would seem the deception continues.
