SEO Reputation Management at its best!

I signed up online for a $1.95 CD. I don't remember seeing anything about an ongoing thing. I knew that the company would try to sell me more - that's OK, but I didn't want to sign up for anything else until I had watched the CD.

On Jan 12, 2008 I checked my banking account online and found a charge for $39.90 drawn by WI/Passive Profits. The entry actually showed up a few days earlier, but was not posted until the 11th. I called the phone number, 866-503-4718, and the person I talked with said that when I ordered the CD there was something on the online form that said I would be enrolled for a 10-day trial period. I could cancel within that 10-day period, else the subscription would continue. He said that someone was supposed to contact me by phone and several e-mails should have been sent.

I received the "free" CD (I paid only $1.95 for it). It came with an ad for the full sevice. I will be happy to provide a copy. I checked the CD and got the information as to company name, location, etc. from the accompanying ad.

I found two e-mails that appeared to be from them. The first email was dated 12/30/2007 with a sender address of HomeWorker*001*@tuliper.com. The second was dated 1/3/2008 with a sender address of ebay.receipt@tuliper.com. Both emails were the same in content: ads for getting the free CD.

I think the outfit is a ripoff, and at the very least uses deceptive and misleading ads.
