Realstar Trillium apartments Trillium Apartments Cobourg to be Avoided Cobourg Ontario

For those of you considering moving into Trillium apartments in Cobourg Ontario, I will save you a lot of headaches and money if you take  my advice. Don't do it!  My wife and I are being screwed over by realstar and without a good free lawyer we will all be forced to move.

To start, the moment real star bought this building they started to take from every tenant. They removed our camera security system and began to  prop our security doors open regularly. At times there were reasons such as contractors  fixing the (monthly) water pipe leaks  coming and going.

One of the main reasons we moved here was because they had a beautiful fish pond out behind the building. Residents and visitors regularly enjoyed this.  Realstar removed it promptly after purchase.

Another main reason was our balcony.   Realstar replaced them.  It took AJS contracting 8 MONTHS TO REPLACE THEM !   During this time many of our neighbours moved out for the ridiculous amount of noise and dust  from this.   Anybody could have done this job in a month which makes us think it was merely a ploy to harass people into moving.

on top of all this realstar has been overcharging many of it's tenants. I've  been overcharged  according to the Ontario landlord tenant act for two years.   You'd think realstar would compensate its tenants for the inconvenience but they did the opposite.    

Every tenant I've talked to has had damaged flooring, mould, leaks or no heat and most have had several of these complaints unfixed after multiple complaints to the landlords or their boss with little done. 

Now for the good part. Realstar is now trying to increase our rent 3% above the provincial  guideline claiming their expenses are too high.  These expenses are totally out of proportion. They're claiming it cost them $90,000 to renovate a room from storage to a common room.    They're claiming it cost $2100 for two small carpets in our elevators... Trust me, it gets worse.

I could keep going on the bull this company does to it's paying tenants...  How many companies attempt to evict an elderly couple with only one weeks notice?..

BOTTOM LINE IS DON'T RENT WITH REALSTAR
