My wife and I listed a timeshare with Copeland Marketing on 7/18/06 at a cost of $699.00. We were told by our Rep. (Robin) that a sale would happen with 60-90 days and that our unit at Long Wharf in Newport RI would be toured, and would we authorize this activity. We authorized this activity to do business and tour our timeshare with their legal department. A Rep. (a gentleman) then jumped on the line to confirm all this activity.

She also mentioned that after she had completed the sale of the timeshare for us, she like to discuss our other timeshares and possibly work out some rentals for us.

Approximately 3 weeks after listing with the company our Rep. (Robin) was out on a personal issue and would return in a week, but the individual who answered the phone told us there was activity and interest on the property.

We waited two weeks to speak with Robin to no avail, and a manager was placed on the phone when I further inquired about our timeshare and he stated she was out on medical leave and there was activity but no offers at this time.

We've continued to call every week and no one has been answering and messages left are not returned. Recently, on October 13th when we reached a Rep. named Miranda who told us the same story that there's been interest but no offers. We explained that no one has answered calls and messages are not returned, to this she provided us with her e-mail.

We have sent Miranda e-mail and she's still providing the same lip service. In five days it will be five months since we signed their agreement and there's been very little to no action.

I'm convinced that this is false or deceptive practices on the company's behalf and a friend of mine mentioned that I should Google the organization. To my surprise I'm not alone with this issue as there are numerous others listed with the same problem.

Copeland has changed its website to www.cmcvacationproperties.net.

I recommend that everyone initiate a complaint with the Attorney Generals office in Florida (407)245-0833, you can do this on the internet.

In addition you can also initiate a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission on the internet.

If a class action suit is started please let me know because I'll participate.
