On 09/05/2012 I drop my car off at Reds & Son to be repair, I could smell gasoline and my car would shut off, I was called and was told it was the fuel pump and it would cost $618.84 so I agreed for Reds & Son to do the work. They called me when the car was finished, my car was running good but a couple days later the car shut down on me and was doing the same thing it was doing before I paid them, I called Reds & Son and explain what happened and was told to drop the car off on 09/8/2012. On that day at 11:30am my car was towed and drop off, they call me back at 4:30pm they claiming that they couldn't find anything wrong with the car.

I figure they corrected the problem so I took the car around the block a couple times and when home. A couple days later my car shut down on me again. Now I'm mad I work my butt off to get this money. I call and demand my car be fix I had my car towed back to Reds & Son on 09/23/2012 at 9:00am , at 5:30pm I got drop off, and they are telling me it going to cost more money because my computer in my car is down and it going to cost. 250.00 for that so they can tell them what's wrong with my car. I just didn't want to hear no more of that crap, and told them give me my car. Now my car is still down and Reds& Son got my money. I was rip off

How do you just drop the car off and let the mechanic figure it out?

AUTHOR: Lekaimadh - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, December 09, 2012

First of you never just drop your car off to the mechanic and let him figure out whats wrong with your car and then screw you when it comes to repair costs. Next time make sure you know what is wrong with the car and how much it is going to cost to repair it. Sounds like your car had a fuel pump failure fuel filter or had a fuel leak somewhere in the fuel lines. Also the computer thing they are trying to charge you for mechanics do the computer scan for free. You can take it to pep boys they will plug it in and that is done when car gives a check engine light. Buy a repair manual for your car and do stuff your self saves you $ and head aches and you know it was done right. They probably didnt do anything at all just took your money and gave you your car like it was. sad.
