Regal Theaters have been upping their prices again and again but the service and quality of the theater doesn't change. You would think that with increases they would offer better seats, better food, cleaner restrooms but I have noticed no change but the price of the ticket. The price for night shows is about $10.00 and other Regal theaters depending where you go, they can be as high as $12.00 or more.
If is ashame that people have to price these prices to watch a 2 hour movie. Even if the movie is bad or ok, why should they charge so much.
I am not impressed with Regals service or management when I asked about the ticket prices, they just did not answer my complaint. It was like you can go to another movie theater then.
So I want to make a ripoff complaint about Regal theaters and think it is a waste of money.

Where is the ripoff

You stated that the theater upped the prices 'again and again'. If you are unhappy with the price of the ticket, I agree with the manager, 'go someplace else'.
Being unhappy with the consessions, the condition of the restrooms and the food does not constitute a ripoff especially when you continue to patronize this establishment.
#3 Consumer Suggestion
They should lower the price after the first weekend reviews

Yes the actors get all the money but they should eliminate their royalties also. Actors get paid too much and the theaters get nothing. I agree ticket prices
are unfair and the actors don't care. Look at Jim Carey, he makes $20 million for 2 months work and lifetime royalties from each film, talk about living it large. Jim Carey talked last week on the economy and he said, its good for me. Talk about an insult to people paying the high price tickets and he goes and brags about himself in tough times. Maria V. Marcotte, it is good you bought up this subject, people need to really discuss these prices and why they are so high.

The money you pay for your ticket goes directly to the actor's or actress' not Regal Cinema. Regal makes their money through concession only. And the quality of the theaters are based on the quality of the area. Where I work the cinema is new, so the seats are really nice and everything is clean.

Movie Studios

Just a thought, where do you think the millions of dollars that movie stars get comes? The increase in ticket prices has to do with inflation and the rising cost of making movies. If you don't like a film then choose not to see it. The majority of the ticket cost goes directly to the studios, not theater companies.
