Regency Beauty Institute, Independence Missouri Campus HUGE RIPOFF! Independence, Missouri

Do not waste your time or money at this school.  Regency as a whole is a terrible company to do business with but the Independence Campus is a nightmare!  4 of the 5 educators don't like their jobs and have no motivation to do it well.  I have learned very little in the classroom because the educators don't know what they are talking about or they are speaking so heavily in slang that I can't understand them.  This campus is run by the most unprofessional people I have ever encountered.  The educators talk badly about students appearance, skills and academic scores to other students.  My personal medical information was shared with other students while I was on medical leave and the educator also speculated on whether or not I was "faking".  I went back to school with a doctors note stating that I needed to be allowed to sit as needed or take additional breaks as needed.  I have to keep the letter with me at all times and they only "allowed" me to "use the doctors note" after I threatened them with my attorney.  The regional manager has been involved but she is as ineffective as the campus manager.  I dread going to school everyday and being here has taken all the enjoyment out of doing hair.  They also charge over $17,000 and still nickel and dime you to death!  They give you a nail kit and require you to do 70 artificial tips and 30 sculptured nails, however the nail kit doesn't include enough product to be able to get them done and they require you to buy Clarite brand acrylic and monomer to finish your stamps.  These additional supplies run about $45 at State Beauty supply so you get to spend even more money! My kit also came with broken trimmers, I have been at Regency since November and they still haven't replaced them. 
In closing I would recommend that you find another school because Regency is only out for the money and they DO NOT care about the quality of the education! Also they know once you're there they can get money even if you quit and its even better if you do quit because then they don't have to teach you and they still get money!
