I have been going to Regis for 12 years. My whole large family has as well. We've all had our share of bad circumstances with them, but after today, we will NEVER return to Regis hair salons.

I specifically asked the stylist to highlight my hair with no brassy or gold tones. I even said before we started, 'if you don't think we can do it, then I will just get it cut. Please don't do it if you don't think you can.' and she promised she could or she would fix it to my liking. It came out all Gold, yellow, brassy and all the things I DIDNT WANT.

She knew she had made a mistake and they used toners and shampoos and couldnt fix it. Then I'm like yeah can you just dye it back natural color- it's so messed up and she said 'yeah but we will have to charge you.' and I start freaking out.

They wanted 125 for ruining my hair and doing the EXACT thing I ASKED them not to do! I was in shock. They were horrible and rude and kept telling me then it wasn't brassy or gold and I said, 'IM LOOKING AT IT. DO YOU THINK IM BLIND!?! ' and so I wrote a check for 50 and said, 'I'm Not paying another dime for something I hate. You're lucky to get that.' and they called the cops to have me arrested. It was horrible HORRIBLE.

I can't believe I walk in for a service- they can't do it and they want to charge me?!?! So they accepted the 50 eventually. I wish I hadn't even payed that. I will have to pay tomorrow to have it fixed!? It was so embarrassing.

Then I got a call from the home office telling me never to come back again. She wouldn't even listen to me. I couldn't even talk to her. She just kept cutting me off with lies about what this 'manager' had told her.

Regis is truly a horrible company. I've been researching all night and they really have no skills, no customer service satisfaction cares, nothing.

If they are going to charge me a fortune, which they DO, then they should do it RIGHT!

Update- I still have not gone back to a salon because of this experience.

To the anonymous employee,

It's been almost 2 years and I still can't walk into another salon and I still have a lot of anger about what happened that day.  What made me so upset is that the manager tried to make me PAY to fix it.  And it did look horrible.  I have pictures.  Besides, even if the employees thought it looked 'okay' - it's the customer, right?  It was exactly what I did NOT want to happen.  The customer should be listened to and their opinion respected and not told 'it looks fine.'

If someone had just said 'fine we'll dye it back' that would have been just fine.  But then you were going to charge me extra to fix it.  So yeah I started yelling.  I couldn't believe the way I was treated by your manager.  As far as the girl who did my hair that day- I know hair color can turn out crazy and I understand you never know.  However, an offer to fix it besides 'toner' and then 'whatever we do from here on out we will have to charge you.' is not acceptable.

I couldn't even get my hair fixed for a month because I started having a chemical reaction right away.  My hair stated falling out and to be honest my hair has been falling out for 2 years since this experience.  I'm sure the dyes and the toner and the second toner has something to do with it.  I've seen a specialist, a dermotologist, and have been treated with medicine and medical shampoos and nothing. It's still falling out.

The way your home office treated me was horrible.  In fact, your manager had given her the wrong amount and when I called back and asked the manager about why she told her the wrong amount, she said 'you're right... it wasn't that much.'

So yeah. I'm still not over it. I'm still angry. I'm still suffering the consequences of that day.

Regis hair salon in Eastgate Mall is not horrible-client's attitude was horrible!

Angela-first I wanted to say I'm sorry for what you went through that day at Regis. I was there working the day all of this happened and I was very surprised in how things were done. First I'm surprised that you and your family would continue to come to our salon if you guys have had so many problems with us over the years, there must of been things that you like about the salon/stylist's if you kept coming. Second, we try to do what we can to get a client's hair as perfect to their liking as possible. But sometimes things happened like-miscommunication on one or both parts, previous color/products on hair before coming in, medications that you take, and lifestyles etc. After she colored your hair she did everything she could to fix it to make you happy right? She didn't just tell you to deal with it, I know this girl and she is a very sweet person and NEVER has complaints on how she deals with clients. As far as your comment that you said, "you can just take it back to my natural" and she said she would have to charge you for it. It doesn't sound like something that would have been said by her or the manager. The manager EXPECTS us to do what we can to make clients happy before they leave! From what I could see of your hair it looked good, it didn't look messed up, but you didn't like it and she tried to fix it to where you would. Then things got out of control! You were talking LOUD enough for me to hear you on the other side of salon to the point of my client feeling uncomfortable. I went to see what was going on and your stylist was in the back crying and shaking because she was so upset and scared of what you would do or say next! Everyone was nervous and uncomfortable because of how you were being. That is when you offered only $50 in a check, even though there is no color service that low at Regis. Then the manager called the cops to get you to leave NOT arrest you, because you were causing a scene and wouldn't leave! Why do you think our home office called you and told you never to return? They have to protect us from being treated this way. You can't just act like that whenever you want.
Lastly-We are not a horrible salon, there are great girls there and I have worked there for years and if this salon was as bad as you're trying to make it sound, I would of left there a long time ago. I'm sorry this happened to you sweetie but I'm sure if you really think about it you will see that what you didn't like about your hair didn't deserve the response you gave for the WHOLE salon to see and hear.
