I went to the Regis Salon in Palm Desert, CA on August 1st. I walked in with medium brown hair with highlights, wanting to get rid of the highlights but keep the brown shades under the highlights.

The stylist asked what I wanted and I explained that I didn't want the highlights. She claims to have seen red tones in my hair and I went along with it because she was supposed to be the expert on these things. After 5 minutes of trying to explain what exactly it was I wanted, I ended the entire conversation with "Just match the rest of my hair with this" while I pulled out strands from the very bottom which was a shade of medium dark brown.

A half-hour later, she rinsed the dye out and it turned out burgandy. Nothing close to what I originally had. She cut my hair, layered with bangs.

After it dried and I took a really good look, the cut was uneven. My left side was about 2 inches longer the the right. And the color was horrible in the sun. I called and she said she said she'd fix it for me. When I walked in, she was very rude and seemed annoyed. She claimed that it was only a certain layer that was too long and she snipped it off without even taking a good measurement of how much to take off. I double checked everything and then the right side was longer than the left, but she didn't believe me so she had another girl comb through my hair. Well guess what, it was too long and she fixed that for me.

As far as the color goes, she said she couldn't do anything else about it but thrown in some brown lowlights. I NEVER WANTED THE RED, SO WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR IT? They wanted to charge me to have them dye my entire head a chocolate brown color. Even if I wanted the d**n lowlights, how could I trust her with those when she can't even cut my hair properly? I ran outta there in tears because it looked so horrible.

My advice: Unless you're willing to pay salon prices for a job you can get at Fantastic Sam's, DON'T EVER GO TO REGIS SALONS!
