February 2007
I went in to get a haircut and a highlight job.
The stylist(Janet), said she had 10 years of experience doing hair.So i felt comfortable even though it was my first time there.

I told her what i wanted but i guess she wasn't paying attention. She made the top of my head look like a zebra.Apparently she foiled the bleech and the brown color so close to the scalp that the bleech bled on the brown low lights.Never did i mention that i want to look like i've escaped the african safari.

When i came back the next day to speak to a manager to get my money back,i had to wait one hour. Then the manager told me that they cant give me a refund only a re-do.I said i'm not going to let her touch my hair again. My theory was if she couldn't do it right the first time why would she do it right the second time.

She(manager) told me she can try to fix it,offering to put toner in my hair or recoloring my low lights.Yeah right, coloring my hair back to back days,i dont think so.I don't want to go bald by the age of 24.

I called Regis corporate office(952)947-7777 and spoke to a representative.I offered to e-mail the pics of my ruined highlights. They reviewed the pics and told me that they will refund the money.

Take my advise,-DON'T GO TO REGIS-.

I had a similar experience with a Regis Salon

AUTHOR: Catlady903 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 17, 2009

I had a similar experience with a Regis Salon in Leesburg FL. Hair Masters. Ive called "customer service" and I must say they are the least helpful group of people Ive ever had the displeasure to work with.
Bottom line with Regis....unless you get a lawyer, they will never give a refund. The best they will do for you is a gift cert. Now why would you want that? (Products only I guess)
Most of their salons are in malls and such, and have very inexperinced ppl working in them. My advise is spend more money and go to a privatly owned salon. Avoid Regis Salons at all costs.

guess what lady try to sue all you want. regis is the largest salon corporation in the US. you really think you can get your rinky dink lawyer to beat regis' million dollar ones?? i love it when im reading on here and ppl think they can sue...well...go ahead and try. that particular salon would never even know it. new stylists dont get in trouble for messing up hair...sounds to me like you hada newer one if she gave you stripes...she wont be in trouble.

There is a better way to handle this

AUTHOR: Shawangunk - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, April 20, 2007

Catherine's solution is to basically throw a temper tantrum or hissy fit until she gets her way.

There is a better way to handle this, and that is to conduct yourself as a polite, rational, mature ADULT. Clearly explain the problem, state how you want it to be resolved, and hold your ground, all the while keeping a polite attitude. Throwing a fit and causing a huge scene only makes you look ridiculous and unworthy of respect. Do you really think anyone is going to want to give you good service when you behave like that? You'll probably go in looking like a zebra and leave as a baboon! Be nice to the people who cut your hair -- this goes without saying!

HOW TO HANDLE A BAD CUT IN THE FUTURE

AUTHOR: Catherine - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 19, 2007

After years and years of bad haircuts or highlights, I have finally decided that I will not pay another penny to somebody who messes up my hair. The problem is that, after spending an hour or two with somebody, you feel a moral obligation to these people who you have had conversation with. It is emotional blackmail. They get paid from the goodness of people not to want to hurt other people's feelings, naturally. I have decided that NOBODY who messes up my hair gets an OUNCE of my kindness.

Last week, I stook in Regis and caused a SCENE until the haircut was fixed. I scolded the manager for being incompetent at holding her employees accountable, and I scolded the hairdresser for not paying attention to my clear directions. I yelled so loud that the whole salon could hear me. I then spoke very loudly to the woman who fixed the haircut that she should be disappointed that she is having to fix a co-workers mistake rather than having a pleasant day with her own happy customers. The next hour and a half while I was there was VERY TENSE for all the employees, intentionally. The woman who did the original cut hid the entire time. Once the cut was done, I tipped the lady who fixed it and I informed the manager that I would not be paying for anything more and that she was lucky that I was not going to sue the salon. They did nothing to stop me. I finally turned the tables around on them. I suggest you stick up for yourself next time. IT WORKS!!
