 Well I moved into this house in Sept. Of 2016. When I moved in I did what I normally do and took pictures of everything broken and that was a concern for me and sent it to Shane. Which is who claimed to be my landlord. That same day he claimed things will be fixed but it will take time. But when I agreed to move in I told them the grass and bushes needed to be cut. It took two weeks after my move in date. So as a few months pass by they send a handyman who they claimed to be the matienceman but he stated he was just helping them out he don't work for them.

He also stated they are unprofessional and don't follow the codes of housing. So while I was living there for the first three months my water kept getting cut off. And I asked the gas company why and who is in charge of the bill and if I could put it in my name. They said Shane is supposed to pay it and the bill is extremely high due to the fact that all the apartments in the building used one water heater. [continued below]....

..... So then I got a visit from the city where they said I should talk to my landlord because the building is leaking to much water and he owes thousands of dollars.

Next Shane sent out some half ads plumbers who wasn't professional but they let me in on some information due to the fact that his sister used to live there. So I went into the apartment above mines and was wondering why I could see it before. There was rat feces everywhere mold and rat traps. I had pictures till my phone broke. But the floors upstairs was undone and sinking in. So they fixed the pipes and my water came back on. As more months pass the handyman never fixed anything.

They never gave me a key to my front door so I locked myself out so he had to come let me in and they claim it coast 20 to get him to do it. But y does a man who doesn't work for them have a key to get in my apartment. So after he let me in he takes the lock out the bottom lock. Which mind you one of my biggest issue was the safety and security of me and my son. My back door was once kicked out so it never locked my. Upstairs back door didn't lock right and was once kicked in and the used screws to put the door back instead of just replacing it.

None of my windows opened but one two of them was broken which they claimed to be getting fixed and already knew they was broken prior to me moving in. I had no smoke dectors in a gas home I had gas pipes through the house that the gas company said they need to pay to have capped off. The steps in front of my house was not secure. There was no porch light and I fell carrying my son up the steps. But my biggest issues was the electrical box was very old. But inside my only bathroom was a cabinet behind the door above the toilet.

A tropical storm hit and the cabinet fell I couldn't get in my bathroom when I got off work so I asked Shane to get someone to fix it so instead I just had my grandfather fix it. And he spotted the black mold. So once I took pictures and sent it to Shane he had the guy come over bleach it and plaster over it... Three weeks later it came back. So as hurricane season approached this year the window in my kitchen was leaking and the mold began to spread right over my stove. Then the roof in my room started to leak.

When I told Shane he had a roofing company out of Palatka come to look at it. The guy never even got on the roof nor did he come back because he told me the whole roof needs to be replaced and because of code enforcement he don't do patch jobs on such an old house. Then there was the stray cat issues. Because the apartments downstairs was gutted out and the house was falling apart it was big wholes and only blocks holding the house up. The cats would live under it so I called animal control.

She let me know that housing authority and the city was getting ready to condemn this house a few weeks before I moved in. And already sent out letters. One day leaving my house there was an eviction notice down stairs but no one has been living there. They claim they don't know what it was for. So as time progressed Shane kept looking for handyman to fix things instead of licences contractors. And at one point a man name dewight took over as my landlord and he stated I should maybe just move out because he doubt he will get these things fixed.

So I said how can I move out with no money cuz I keep paying your company because you people keep saying things will get fixed. So he agreed to give me at least 800 to help me move. But then dewight sent me a text that he ment to send to Shane so he claimed saying "these text are from Ashleigh she can get our whole interview shut down" but when I asked what he was talking about he claimed it was another tentat. Two days later Shane text me claiming dewight doesn't work there any more off the same number dewight used. So I sent them many of people who could do the work but they never wanted to pay them.

So then I found a contractor out of st. Augustine since they said no one in my city could do the job. And they never even called the man. So a few days after my birthday they sent a guy out who took notes of everything needing to be done and sent Shane estimates. The man claimed Shane wouldn't agree to the price. Then another man a few weeks later but I showed him all the things wrong and when I got to the doors he said that's all he could fix because he only does handyman work and I asked him about code inforcment and he said that is another reason he won't do the work. So the company kept sending me notices for being late on my rent but I sent back an email saying I'm not paying if you aren't fixing things.

So as the mold got worse I had to figure something out so I came to south Carolina to look for a place with my son's dad. So when I came back to Florida parts of my roof was fallen off my window to my room was completely exposed so I text Shane and he said just move out already. I told him don't tell me what to do and I'm looking for a place out of state. Since then the grass hasn't been cut the water was turned off by him because they aren't getting my money any more and I think the reason they haven't sent the eviction notice is because they know that they are wrong and the code enforcement of Palatka would condem this building. So now I stay in a hotel and can't get any of my money back. He won't even give me the 500 I spent to move in..... I need help because I really am annoyed with this situation. I called a few lawyers in my city and they never called me back.
