Sweepstakes Clearinghouse ripoff Ignored and Ripped Off Dallas Texas
I had a computer and a stereo shelf system on layaway for several months. I sent in well over $100. for the items. I decided to not follow through with the layaway due to the fact I needed my money back and I have read several reports on this company that I didn't like. I don't feel the items are worth the money I am sending in including the credit voucher I received. I do not see it stated on any documentation I have that they have a no refund policy on layaways. I called and told them I wanted to cancel the layaway and have my money refunded to me. The girl I spoke with said they don't do that and all she could do was send me a catalog so I could use the money towards another item. I told her I didn't want to do that but that didn't get anywhere with her. Basically, I have not heard from them in several months not even a bill for the layaway which I would usually get. I feel ignored and ripped off. They haven't even sent me another catalog like she said. I feel as if they are brushing this under the carpet and hoping I will just go away. I just received this Sweepstakes Clearinghouse in the mail as of 2/22/05, notifying me that I won a TV, and to send $47.96, or send it in two installments. But it did not state what kind of TV or brand. I am soo glad I check into this website, due to I would have been ripped off, by receiving a little 5-inch black and white TV that does not get good reception. I sure hope no one else gets ripped off by this scam, it is definitely going to be shredded! Teresa Port Neches, TexasU.S.A.

Sweepstakes Clearinghouse is a ripoff. Dallas, Texas
I'm not going to let Sweepstakes Clearinghouse do anything to me, but I have a few words to say about them anyway... I'm typing this in the heat of the moment, but if it helps an innocent person from getting burned, then it will be worth it. I'm tired of this type of scam. Did I ever contact these people? I don't think so. Then how do they get my name and address? They figure I'll think I entered some kind of sweepstakes a while ago, and now I'm winning something for it. What am I winning? Not much, because I have to pay something out. They probably bought a bunch of stuff for real cheap at bulk prices and are making a nice profit even minus the voucher they've sent me. And they make it sound like somebody else is winning a millions of dollars in their Ten Million Dollar Sweepstakes Giveaway. Not me...I have to pay something out if I want to participate. What kind of BS is that? I'd probably get a good deal if I bought the luggage or the watches, but they'll make hand-over-fist on the computers, no doubt, which most marks will probably go for. My point is, I'm unfortunately going to have to pollute the environment in a small way (again) and trash their junk mail. It's just another con. They butter it up real nice and sweet, but it's just another case of smoke and mirrors. Thank heaven for the internet, where one can just type in a name and get the dirt on them inside a minute. Sweepstakes Clearinghouse ripoff Dallas Texas
Ordered a computer, looked like a good deal, put it on layaway. After having paid $320.00, I am now finding out I am no where near paying it off because of all the hidden fees they are charging. Example: shipping and handling fees are outrageous and I was not make aware of these at the time of purchase plus since I have recently moved, they added an additional $30.00 for the new address! The advertised purchase price is no where near what the final paid price will be due to all the hidden fees! When I called yesterday to complain and ask for a refund, I was told that was impossible because I had not paid in full yet so a refund couldn't be made. I do not want to give these people anymore money, I feel like I'm throwing my hard earned money into a sinkhole. I would like a full refund of my $320.00. Bill Dale, TexasU.S.A.

SWEEPSTAKES CLEARINGHOUSE Fraudulent Practices Dallas Texas
I have been a customer of this company for several years. In the past service has been prompt and the customer service representatives very helpful In fact, I have bought several items from them in the past with no incidents of displeasure. Now however, it's a diffent story. I had two active accounts with them and I decided to close one and pay off the other with the money available . I had all the account info for both accounts as they will always say you need to have that so they can help you. I had given instructions to close my laptop account and apply these funds to my dvd account. This in effect should have paid for my dvd and it should be on it's way to me. It's not. After calling 8 times to inquire about the status of my account, I have received several different excuses as to why I don't have my dvd player. One, it was just a human error. Two, the transfer has not been completed (after almost 2 weeks?). Three, the transfer is complete and the dvd is on its way. Four, the dvd is not in stock. What the Hell is going on? Also, they cannot seem to provide you with the name of anyone in charge and you cannot get anything in writing or by fax, of by email. Well then why ask for that information? Why? It's always this mysterious Supervisor will call you crap. I don't have much faith that I will get a call at all. I am extremely unhappy with this company now and I will not be doing business with them again if I can ever get my merchandise or my Money back. Buyer Beware. Lawrence San Antonio, Texas

Sweepstakes Clearinghouse Very Old Laptop Dallas Texas
I ordered a (what they said was refurbished) Laptop from this company. What I got was a 15 to 20 year old scratched up old outdated laptop. When I called them they told me I could return it, but they would not refund my shipping and handling. It cost $61.86 for them to ship it to me so I am sure it will cost about the same for me to ship it back. So I will be out about $120.00. This is a rip off company!!! Sweepstakes Clearinghouse Defective Products/computers Dallas, Texas
Since November I purchased a laptop computer and was sent 3 different laptops, the first the battery did not charge, the second came and it was a little bitty w/o cd/dvd rom as specified. The third came and this is after I had to pay to return the second one and the keyboard does not work at all !! They are selling junk and it is not right. I now have been waiting for a return label as I refuse to once again have to pay the return shipping cost and I want a full refund. I was told on the phone, I would not recieve a full refund it would be minus the shipping cost....NOT HAPPENING; I want my money back that I originally paid in full prior to any laptop being sent to me. This company needs to be shut down as they are obviously screwing the consumers. They are selling refurbished junk.....

Sweepstakes Clearinghouse dishonest shipping charges Dallas Texas
This morning, a UPS guy showed up at my door with a package that I had been expecting. Great! The pretty floral dinnerware that I had ordered from Sweepstakes Clearinghouse had arrived. Note: I have bought things from them before with no problem. However, this was back in 2000. Well, times change, I guess. The man informed me that he could not leave my package until I gave him $51.25 for a COD charge. Um, suck what? I explained to him that I had already sent a check for the merchandise. He explained that he really couldn't leave the parcel without receiving the money, but he could send it back and ask them to send it non-COD. Okay, fine, not his fault. I asked him to send it back. Then, I came back up to the apartment to find out what the F was going on. My checkbook register confirmed that I had written the check on May 17th. So, it had plenty of time to get there and clear. That meant a phone call was in order. Joy. I found the original envelope I that had contained the offer for the dishes as well as the merchandise vouchers. An address for the company was listed (it's in Texas), but no number. I had to find that on the Internet. Oh, and it wasn't a toll free number either. (I can't wait to see that charge on the phone bill. :P) Anyway, after playing the runaround game with the automated system (that still had my account balance from 2000, but no info on my recent order), I finally reached a CSR. I explained the situation to her and she told me that the COD charge was for delivery and insurance (and handling, I think). I had assumed that some kind of shipping charge was already figured into the price as there wasn't anything in that envelope to tell me differently. If this information had been in the literature when I ordered the dishes, I wouldn't have been as pissed off (I probably wouldn't have placed an order, either). I didn't like having it thrust upon me out of the blue. They didn't do this when I ordered from them before. That was when I told the CSR that I didn't want the dishes, but a refund of the purchase price ($59.95). She said that I would have to call back with my request when they received the package. Fishy. Sweepstakes Clearinghouse Out and out thieves Dallas, Texas
I purchased a laptop computer from subject company on 12/12 and cancelled the same day due to absurdly high shipping charges. They acknowledged cancellation but dunned my credit card in any case. Since then, they have been completely obfuscatory, baing extremely evasive in the one call that got through. I get continuous mailer daemons when attempting to contact their customer service. In the meantime, yhey are walking with my $300.50 ($61 SHIPPING!) paid in full. I have no confirmation of a refund and have filed a complaint with the PA AG, Bureau of Consumer Protection. I'm vary angry, much at myself for being conned in the first place. I'm seeking restoration and possible damages.

Sweepstakes-Clearinghouse Deceptive Cancellation Policy Dallas Texas
I recently placed a Brother sewing machine on lay-away with Sweeptakes-Clearinghouse. When I changed my mind about the item and wanted to cancel the order, I was told that I could not get my down payment back--I could only apply it toward another item. Perhaps this little detail was somewhere in the very, very fine print, but I do not recall reading it.  Since I do not want any other item, Sweepstakes Clearinghous will continue to take a $1.00 service fee out of the down payment until it is depleted!  I am being forced to lose the money I gave them for nothing or purchase something I do not want.  Furthermore, the shipping charges are not given prior to placing an order, so what appears to be a good deal ends up costing a lot of money in the end.  I will never use another wonderful discount coupon from Sweepstakes Clearinghouse.

Sweepstakes Clearinghouse $400.00 certificate for cookware 7 Quesinart Dallas Texas
We got several coupons for 400.00 off.  We sent for the cooking set with quesinart.  It has not come yet, but we got a letter saying that after paying the $89.95 by credit card, we would also be charged $31.18 for shipping and handling.  There was NO mention of shipping costs on the add.  We checked thouroughly before orderibg.  After visiting this site, I am worried that we will receive junk in the mail and wind up paing 121.15 for it.  Has anyone out there ordered the cookware from them?  What happened?

Sweepstakes Clearinghouse Treacherous low down thieves Arlington Texas
I have been receiving vouchers from Sweepstakes Clearinghouse for years. I never bought anything, but  I trusted that this company was legitimate. They just keep sending me these vouchers that sound to good to be true and I guess they were to good to be true. I just received my income taxes and I was going to get a small tablet for $100 dollars. I bought it the first week in March 2016 and  still have not recived it. I went online to find a phone number to call because there was no number on the paper that they sent. As I was searching for the number I started to see Scam reports, rip offs about the Sweepstakes Clearing house, so I knew that I have been scammed. It do not take 3 weeks to send a tablet.    I wish that I would have investigated this company before I sent them a money order. I am so glad that all I  lost was just $100 dollars.  But it really is the principle behind it, I trusted them and many others who lost more than me trusted them.  That is why I call them treacherous thieves.   I think that they should go to jail for their crimes, and be order to pay everyone their money back. Somebody has to stop them before more people get scammed. They need to be put out of business immediately. These people are stealing and people go to jail for stealing. Why is no body stopping them?   Their address is 2000 E. Lamar Blvd. Suite 600      Arlington, Tx 76006 Signture of Approval is J. Sweepstakes Clearinghouse Sweepstakes Clearinghouse Robbed Me Ripoff Dallas Texas
Recently, I received vouchers to be used as discounts on certain items. I sent in a voucher supposedly worth $400.00 for a Dell Notebook along with a personal check for $379.95. The Notebook arrived without any paperwork or instructions. I phoned their customer support and was transferred from one dept. to another for a total of two hours. Nobody could answer my technical question so I decided to ship it back. They claim that if customer is not satisfied, simply return the item within 30 days for a full refund. They shipped it to me using United Parcel Service. I shipped it back to them in the same carton, UPS + insurance for less than $20.00. In return, they sent me a refund check for $310.39. (A difference of $69.56 they claim was used for shipping & handling.) This is outrageous. I had the Notebook for only a few hours. Subsequently, I learned from Dell that the Notebook they sent me is outdated. Don't be sucked in by their vouchers. Sweepstakes Clearinghouse profits at the consumer's expense. It doesn't matter if you keep your inferior product or not, they will still rob you. This company should swiftly be put out of business.
