WLI Reservation Rewards WLI Reservation Rewards -- FRAUD! Internet
For the sixth month in a row, I have gotten a $9 charge to my debit card from WLI RESERVATION REWARDS... I have no idea what this is, and I have reported it to my bank repeatedly each month and requested they reverse, block, and/or file a fraud claim. My bank (TVA Employees Credit Union) has offered no help at all, or so much as any advice to stop this charge. The phone numbers, addresses, and email accounts I could dig up for this WLI RESERVATION REWARDS are all disconnected. I have no idea who is stealing money from my account, but with this RipOff Report website having other similar cases, I know I'm not alone. Reservation Rewards has a website that alegedly has a cancel membership function; however, it requires the member's user/login to access, and because I never registered for this service I do not have a user/pass to access the cancelation feature. So I guess it's okay by the bank, the FTC, and all other authorities for these people to continue taking our money. James Knoxville, TennesseeU.S.A.

I also have received $7.00 charges on my credit card from each of these (affiliated) outfits. I called the 888 no. to have these charges immediately removed and to make sure that this was cancelled in the future. When asked how these charges appeared on my credit card statement I was told that it was due to hotel reservations I had made through Choice Hotels in November 2003 and that I voluntarily signed for their services (whatever they are). Reservation Rewards - WLI Reservation Ripped off by Reservations Rewards Norwalk Connecticut
On June 25th I had flowers delivered to my mother from FTD. I have just noticed that even thought I have not sign up for any membership rewards with program. It looks like when I ordered flowers, somehow I was automatically signed up for Reservations rewards to help them selves to my credit card each month. I have also filed a report with the BBB againt FTD. FTD's has responded to my compliant and has decided to blame it on the customer. They claim that it was an Opt-in program, but unfortunately the only thing wrong with this statement is that is an Opt-out NOT to participate in this program and this is INDEED a SCAM. w It looks like this company has partnered up with many other compaines as well. WLI Reservation Rewards the virtual pickpocket Internet
It's amazing how easy a task can become if you use modern technology. Years ago if you wanted to take someones money without them knowing it you'd have to learn how to pick pockets and steal their wallet, and if you got caught, they'd put you in jail, even if you only stole $7 and gave it back. Here in the 21st century this can be done electronically. Something called WLI reservation reward got a hold of my account number and some personal information and used my discover card to pay for a service that to my knowlege does not exist. They paid themselves $7 for the virtual service,got $7 from discover card and I did'nt know this was happening until I got the bill from discover and saw a mysterios $7 charge. Many other people have had this done to them. Maybe if we all got together and filed a class action suit we could not only get our money back, we could get punitive damages as a bonus,and if our lawyer could convince a judge that discover was WLI's partner in crime, we could get some more money from discover. I bought movie tickets through Fandango, and a pop up came up and said click to see your rewards. I clicked and then it said I would get $10 off my next purchase. A month later my credit card company calls me up and tells that my CC# has been comprimised by a vendor and they are canceling my card and issuing a new one. I asked who was it, they said it was Fandango and WLI Reservations Reward had charged my CC# $7.00 for membership. Hello, I bought movie tickets on Fandango and clicked on this rewards. They offered me a 10 dollar off my next purchase just to sign up. They took my credit card information from Fandango without my written consent and charged my bill 9.00. I called them today and threatend an investigation. They refunded my money and cancelled my membership. If this has happened call and complain. Be stern and tell them what they are going to do! Refund your money and cancel your membership!!!!! I was buying be books for next semester on line at Buy.com and this reservation rewards came up and i clicked on it to see what it was. then in january, one month later, i got billed for $7.00 on my credit card. now im a college student who has no money to begin with and i get this, i am furious and i want to bring a law suit against this person, i didnt put any credit card info when i was in this site so they shouldnt have my number. i have to go to the bank on monday now to get my number changed this company is going down, and i mark my word. Thanks to Rip-Off web-site, I see I am not alone in dealing with a company called WLI Reservation Rewards. I been trying to get the money that was taking from my account without my knowledge. WLI Reservation Rewards claims, they refunded all of my money, and is blaming my bank. The fact is, as my bank statement will show, the money has not been refunded. I contacted Attorney General Office, in my state of Kentucky, as well as Connectiut, where company is located. Hoping something could be done in getting my money back. Kentucky Attorney General office has responded. I am waiting on Connecticut Attorney General office to reply. I am unsure who else to contact. I did a search of complaints against reservation rewards It sent me to this Rip-Off site. My jaw dropped as I read all the enteries about this company. One call to their toll free number got the promise of a refund and a promise to cancel whatever I mistakenly signed up for. As they say, the devil is in the details, and I guess I missed the detail! I first questioned this charge of $9.00 on my credit card billing 8/11/06, then tracked it back to 03/06. The only thing I bought on-line at that time was a game. I got online and found WLI Reservations, which I did not recognise at all. I tried to logon to that site, but none of my passwords would work. I requested my password which was promptly e-mailed to me. That, naturally, didn't work. None of the cancellation links got you to any cancellation point. I called their telephone number and was able to get hold of a representative and cancel my subscription. They promptly e-mailed a cancellation confirmation number. Fortunately, I only got ripped for $45.00 for something I would never have entertained buying. Not a bad price for a good lesson on keeping up with your credit card statement though. After placing an order with allposters.com I got an email with an invitation to receive coupons in the mail from Reservation Rewards, so I gave my name and address...no other info... Two months ago I noticed $9.00 was out of my account that I couldn't account for...figured it was the hubby getting soda or food during his lunch break or something...forgot to ask...you know how it goes...then last month I got another one and stupid me...in a hurry and didn't check it out...Well, this month I made the time to call the bank and it was WLI*Reservation Rewards...I have never given them any of my bank info...it had to be stolen...my bank gave me back this months nine dollars...had to mark my card as hot and will have to get another one...makes me nervous to use the internet for purchases anymore... I bought some tickets online for Aliens Vs. Predator at Fandango last August. Well lo and behold, a charge of $9 a month has been pulled out of my debit card account ever since. I never authorized this debit, yet it was pulled out anyway. I contacted my bank, and they graciously decided I had been duped. I have been given all my monies back, and I also recieve and email from Reservation Rewards (thieves) that my account would be credited. How can a company get away with using your personal information without your consent? Shame on you Reservation Rewards, and shame on Fandango for agreeing with such a rip-off! WLI Reservation Rewards Fraudulent Charges Internet
I check by account twice a day - morning and evening. Last nite 02/08/05, I notice a $9.00 charge on my account which was made by a WLI Reservation Reward. Not having a clue of this transaction, I immediately contacted my bank. The transaction is now in dispute. Researching WLI online this morning, I noticed all the Rip-off Reports against WLI. Contacting my bank with this information, I was given an 800 number for WLI. The person with WLI informed me of the procedure. This is the procedure as stated to me When I made my air reservation with America West Airlines and clicked on Member Reward and entered my email address, once and twice to verify, it opened the link to WLI where they were able to access my credit card information. I did not click on to the membership reward on 01/03/04, as stated in the below response from WLI, but did on 02/03/04 (thinking it was the America West member reward as is with Southwest Airline Rapid Reward - which I do belong to at no charge) and did not complete the registration. There was not anything referencing WLI, Offer Details were not displayed nor was there an agreement where WLI could bill the fee to my credit card. Bottom line, I did not authorize anyone with WLI to freely charge my account with any fees. This is the respone I received from WLI: We try to make our offer as clear as possible and we apologize for any concern you may have experienced. Our records show that on 1/3/2005 you or someone in your household completed an online transaction with America West Airlines. After your transaction you were offered and accepted a membership in Reservation Rewards. Immediately next to the offer, the Offer Details were displayed, which included the agreement that we could bill the fee to the credit card you used for your transaction with America West Airlines. The person who signed up for Reservation Rewards would have given permission to use that specific credit card. In order to sign up they would have typed in the email address ***********two times, like a signature and also click the button to accept the membership. Per your phone request, this Reservation Rewards membership has been cancelled and you will not be billed again. You can continue to access the site and use the benefits through the current term which will expire on 3/2/2005. At that time, the membership will become inactive and all access to the benefits will cease. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance. Sincerely, Michelle A. These people somehow got the number of my wife's credit card soon after she got it and they also knew here email address and name. I don't know how they did this. If you try to log in and fail it will send a generated password to an email address that is in its data base and you can use this to log in and reach a place that lets you cancle benifits and if you do they will refund the most recent charge. I called CitiBank and they suggested I first attempt to phone the service number and try to get a refund that way. I somenow got the feeling the guy had heard about this gang before. I feel like such a fool. I almost didn't catch it even going over the statements with care. $9.00 month does not seem like much but I kept seeing it every month and that was a red flag. Apparently, one is joined into this little rewards club unknowingly. At least, that is what happened to me after we reserved a car through Hertz.com. Hertz is bogus for allowing this site to co-exist with theirs and WLI*Reservation Rewards is nothing but slimy. The first I knew I was forcibly joined to this club was when I saw charges posted to my credit card. I called and closed the account w/ them but charges were still there when my statement came. Not surprisingly, no credit was posted. As it turned out, I unknowingly joined when I made an online purchase/ About the same time, my husband made the car reservations and guess what??? He joined too!!!! They cancelled only one of the accounts. After speaking with them AGAIN via telephone adn this time with a supervisor, she agreed to refund the $10 charge that never should have been. Unfortunately, she would not take current credit card info -- my old account had to be closed due to fraud -- so she sending the alleged refund into cyber oblivion. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company. Word to the wise: check your credit card statements carefully every month!! Recently I checked my online banking account to finda $10 unathorized charge named wli reservation rewards. I found this very disturbing as I have never authorized a charge to this vendor nor have ever heard of it. I immediately contacted my bank to file a complaint regarding this charge. I have had to cancel my bank card and have a new one sent to me. Curious, I investigated a bit regarding this website. It is a membership only website that requires a $10 monthly fee. Over an annual basis this is $120! I have emailed the website costumer services email regarding my violating experience. I noticed other individuals have noted this website as a pop-up that they have clicked on through other websites such as expedia.com. What disturbs me the most is that I have pop-up blocker and have not lost my banking card nor entered any website that has divulged my personal information. I feel that this is a complete violation of my privacy and theft of my personal finances. Soon after I emailed the customer services of the website I received an email from them thanking me for my membership and its services. I again responded to them requesting not to be contacted any further and if more charges are made and I will continue to file complaints against this company. Moral of the story is be careful online! How my information was stolen I may never know. I only hope this has informed anyone else of my experience and that enough complaints may be made to if not stop this violation then make it more difficult and as uncomfortable as possible.
