OC MOVERS Mighty movers, metro mighty movers, city movers Rip off movers, fraud, thief Orange California
The worst day of anyones life typically involves moving and for some reason I'm a glutton for punishment. I had hired movers before and SWORE by it! It's worth EVERY PENNY!! Well, I have learned my lesson; when it comes to movers, dont be cheap. I had originally hired a company based in LA, they were scheduled to arrive at 10am on a Sunday. At 1030, when I hadnt heard from them, I started freaking out. I called and emailed them, but of course, no response. Finally, I started calling around to see if anyone could do a same day move on a Sunday. Of course everyone said no. My sister started looking on Craigslist and found City Movers. We called to get the details, they said they were licensed and insured. Larry advised he would call when he was on his way. Which when he did, said he was bringing a woman to help with the move, but assured me she was a strong woman. When they arrived, this little troll gets out of the truck. (I am not trying to be mean, literally, that's what he looked like). He comes inside to asess the move and to talk pricing. He tells me it will be $65/ hour, I need to pay 3 hours up front and he's counting the 30 min it took him to drive to my place. I told him I dont feel comfortable handing over $195 and he agrees to take half. Then he starts telling me he expects water, cups and burgers. I told him I dont have cups (DUH, they are PACKED), but he is welcome to any water. He starts getting really agressive and I told him I didnt feel comfortable and wanted my money back. Of course he becomes even more aggressive and starts yelling at me. I start crying and telling him he's scaring me. My sister tried talking to him, but he wouldnt even acknowledge her and kept saying he couldnt speak to her because he wasn't doing business with her. Finally, we both calm down and agree for him to move me. Now, my sister had called one of her friends to come over and thank goodness she did. If we were only going to rely on Lew the troll and the woman, I'd still be moving. He packed all the boxes in no problem, but when it came to my larger furniture, it was getting dragged all over the place, even ripping a small whole in my couch. Being that I had used movers before, I know how it's supposed to be properly done. He was a nutcase and had no clue what he was doing. I was also super irritated because we were all helping! That is not why you hire movers! You hire movers to sit back and watch someone else do the work. Throughout the whole thing he was super angy and kept yelling at the woman. At one point I asked her if this was her only job and she started telling me about her house cleaining business. When I asked her how much he charged per hour, he snapped at us that we weren't allowed to discuss it. He was SO rude to everyone throughout the whole day. When we got to my new place, I wanted them out of here as fast as possible, so I paid him the rest of the money I owed and we started to unload the truck. He reminded me that tips are typical, but I should give him all the money for the woman as well. Unfortunately I didnt have a chance to slip her a $20, otherwise I would have made sure she had something. City Movers is the WORST moving company and probably the worst company I've ever dealt with. Whoever is in charge needs to have a long conversation about how customers should be treated. I definitely learned my lesson that there are some things not to be cheap on.

Elite Movers, On-line Movers, The Right Movers....ALL THE WRONG MOVERS!!!
The following complaints are in reference to three company names: The Right Movers in Studio City, CA and Elite Movers dba On-line Movers in Queens, NY Moving cross country is a logistical nightmare when you deal with companies who do not hold up contracts, do not return phone calls, and in the end charge you 3 times what you expected to pay. The details and dates of our moving experience are not what's important, but rather the SCAM that is happening in the home moving/relocation industry. I have read many complaints and the common themes are: 1) Over charging of cubic feet 2) Subcontracting of possessions without authorization 3) Redelivery Charges that are never communicated 4) Early/Late delivery dates 5) Poor or no customer service 6) Unreturned phone calls 7) Excuses, Excuses, Excuses!!!! 8) Cash only! NO BANK CHECKS and NO CREDIT CARDS for tack on fees after the company has possession of your personal belongings. It is a form of EXTORTION. 9) Refusal to put anything in writing. 10) Operate their business under multiple names The management and owners of these suspect moving companies count on the fact that customers will pay additional fees to get repossession of their personal belongings. The question unfortunately becomes, Is the $800 additional fee worth gambling the loss of everything you own? They wear you down and frustrate you, until you feel like you have no other option but to accept the CASH ONLY additional charges to ensure delivery of your belongings. The day of our delivery we bantered back and forth with the management about the fees with no resolution. Our personal experience involved a conversation with one of the men who delivered to our house. He had only been working for the company for one month and had witnessed multiple incidences with this occurring to unsuspecting customers. He was never informed of anything that was happening behind the scenes with all the mangers of this company. He had no idea that he was delivering to disgruntled customers. This has prompted me to complain everywhere I can. I am reporting all parties to appropriate Better Business Bureaus, Consumer Protection agencies, and local news stations. If anyone has any additional forums where I can report these companies I would love to hear from you. I can be reached at hkight@hotmail.com These smaller moving companies are focusing on short term money making schemes and are not trying to build a customer friendly business. They will never be regulated unless people really start making a fuss over their personal experiences. It's not enough to write a passive complaint on a website. It may only be $800 to me, but when aggregated for every person this has happened to, it has to add up to some form of a crime. If someone broke into my home and stole $800 worth of merchandise, I certainly wouldn't let it go. In this case, I can identify who the crooks are! Please contact me if you have anything to add.

D&D MOVERS - DIAMOND MOVERS - RAPID MOVERS - CONSUMER MOVERS - B&P MOVERS BEWARE! DO NOT USE THE SERVICES OF THESE MOVING COMPANIES, PLS READ! GTA, Toronto Ontario
D&D MOVERS, DIAMOND MOVERS, RAPID MOVERS, CONSUMER MOVERS, B&P MOVERS PHONE NUMBER: 416-835-0274, 647-988-4925 CONTACT PERSON (PRESUMABLY THE OWNER): MIKE THESE NAMES ARE ALL THE ALIASES OF THE SAME COMPANY!!Moving by itself is a high enough stress for most of us, please read information below to spare yourself and those you know from extra pain and suffering caused by companies such as these. Please feel free to pass this info to those you know and if you have fallen victim to either of these companies, please take action and stand up to them by reporting them to the BBB, Rip Off Report, Local Authorities, Ministry of Government and Consumer Services - Consumer protection branch, Craigslist Admin, admin of the ads where these companies posted their services, etc. Together we can make a difference! Info on these companies that are doubtful (based on TRUE ACCOUNT): 1. They have many aliases 2. Their latest name, D&D Movers, is nowhere to be found on yellow pages nor canada411 3. The postal code on one of their ads is actually that of an apt building 4. There is no physical address on their invoice 5. They are involved in a deceptive, dishonest business practise i.e. they turn back on their words esp their prices. They will tell you one thing over the phone and just at the right time before unloading, they sprang a piece of paper (the invoice) to your face charging you outrageous fees and a marked up labour charge, telling you to pay them in full before they are willing to unload. Their scheme is so well planned that the boss/owner himself is not doing the moving and the movers claimed to know nothing of the charge, saying it's what they are told to charge. Trying to negotiate at this point with the boss/owner was a futile attempt, only to fall on deaf ear and faced with rude remarks. 6. Contrary to their advertising, they are not professional nor reliable movers at all. Items were cracked, missing only later to be found in pieces left behind in the loading area, broken and needed to be fixed professionally, boxes were placed carelessly and all over the place, etc 7. I also highly doubt the legitimacy of these companies being registered with the Canadian Revenue Agency to levy any taxes, since on the invoice there were no GST/PST number. If this is indeed so, just on the matter of taxes alone, they had committed a criminal offense of fraud. Further, most movers only charge a 6% GST; however, with them they charged a 14% GST+PST. 8. Apparently, I am not the only one standing up to them. On the craigslist posting ID 462170851, someone has had an unpleasant experience with them as well. HOPE THIS HELPS! Desi Movers Inc. ,Dynamic Movers ,Dynamite Movers Fraud Artists, Mover Fraud, Thieves, Extortionists Scarborough Ontario
AKA Dynamic Movers, etc., - Made arrangements for a move with Desi Movers, (Found them in the Yellow Pages) on March 4th, 2008. Their man Jason, (don't know if that is his real name) assured me the cost for a 26' truck and two movers would be $60.00 per hour plus 1 hour travel time and that they were fully licensed and insured which Jason later confirmed on the telephone. The movers show up over 1.5 hours late with no tools of any kind, no wrapping plastic and no wrapping tape. After two hours on site, one hour of which was spent on smoking breaks, they inform us the their truck is full which should have been impossible. It is agreed that we will meet them at new home in 30 to 40 minutes or 1:10 PM. They do not show up until after 3:30 PM and when they do they park the truck on another street as opposed to our driveway. Before bringing the truck on site and unloading the driver wants to discuss money but is so embarrassed it takes him another 10 minutes to try to justify and then present a bill for over $1,300.00!!! After another 1 to 2 hours of constant arguing and the driver calling Jason on a cell phone that allegedly had only 2 minutes left on it is agreed that they will unload for a cash payment of $585.00, withhold a couple of leather cushions and I should go see Jason the following day to straighten things out and get the cushions! (Jason did not have the guts to talk to me at the time) Stupid me! I give these criminals the cash and they dump, yes, that's right, they DUMP our belongings onto the Snow, Ice and Gravel of the Driveway while at the same time blocking my vehicle in the garage so that I cannot go anywhere! The wooden legs from our dining table & chairs and which have 3 + or - carriage bolts were just thrown onto the webbing of the leather sofa & love seat causing several holes in addition to the other rips and tears. I managed to take a photo of their truck before unloading. Not one single item had been wrapped or covered in blankets. Coffee table pressed against the side by side fridge sitting on the rough wooden floor of the truck with zero protection, scotch taped, same with end tables and a metal headboard leaning against one of the end tables are examples of the totally unprofessional methods used by these movers. A Brand New Simmons Mattress & Box Spring which was covered in specially made, heavy duty mattress bags had been partially removed so that they would absorb the snow, ice, mud & filth from the ground where they had tossed them. And on top of this, I had to find another mover to bring the goods inside ASAP as there was some 20 cm of snow on the way. What a NIGHTMARE! The amount of damage they caused in terms of physical and missing items is well over $30,000.00. We have filed complaints with the local *Police Department, the ** and we believe that our insurer will take legal proceedings against them as well. We have also complained to the about the lack of interest shown by the local Police Force. These hoodlums should be rotting away in a jail somewhere, not free to continue stealing, defrauding and extorting others. Your help is essential to put Desi Movers, it's principals and employees where they belong - if you have been a victim of Desi Movers or Dynamic Movers of Scarborough and Toronto, Ontario, you can tell the world your story here. They quit responding to the Better Business Bureau - As of July 29th, 2008, the Better Business Bureau had received 30 Complaints in the past 36 months and they have an unsatisfactory record with the BBB. Comfortable Movers, Movers overcharging Toronto Ontario
I hired the service of Comfortable Movers and my contact person is Harry. He told me over the phone he will charge me $40/hour and $20 transfer fee plus one hour travelling time. They asked me for downpayment of $450 and will return my extra upon completion of job. They did not even help in bringing stuffs to the truck. All they did was carry two wardrobes. We arranged our things in their truck. When we went to the second place to get more items, they asked for another $200. I called Harry but he said it's company rule. I gave him $150 just to finish things because they are wasting time calling their company. All they brought down was parts of the bed that we dismantled. They won't go to the final destination if I don't pay them the total charge which is $1,081 or else they will unload everything and will just leave it at the parking lot. My husband said we will just pay because we are left with no other choice. When they finished unloading at the final place, they were just making phone calls. They just left us from there. I need refund of my money. Babydee Etobicoke, OntarioCanada

King Movers Liars, Inexperienced Movers, Scam Artists SCARBOROUGH Ontario
The movers were 1.5 hrs late for a 1 bedroom condo move. I booked the service elevator for the maximum allowed time of 3 hours so they missed the window and some of my stuff was missed. It took them over 3 hours to move everything out and I did not have any appliances to be moved. I had to rent a van to go pick the rest of it up. They broke my TV, scratched my furniture and in general, did not handle my things with care. They did not explain costs, and were elusive with fees and insurance coverage. One of my biggest mistakes is that I did not conduct a reference check because they had no references to provide when I asked for some. Please don't do business with these guys! They are like ogres! Allways Movers Worst MOVERS! Dishonest quotes. Chandler Arizona
First let me start by saying, we were quoted $180. 2 men, 2hours at $50/hr and a trip fee of same price. In my calculations that comes to $150. They then sneak in there is a 19%fuel charge. So thats where the $180 figure comes in to play. Cool, we will do it. Two men arrive at my door @25 min late. Initially they load pretty quickly and then one of the movers starts conversations with my husband and I. Doing nothing, just talking. Slowly talking, I might add. He spent time telling us about how the moving truck doesn't have an A/C how he will be doing a long haul move to California in a nicer truck. One with a CB RADIO!!This moving company intentionally rips you off. So they ended up taking an extra hour to move @1000 sq ft of furniture and boxes. 3dressers,a small desk, an armoire (one man carried the armoire), a couch and loveseat... one twin mattress and boxsprings and @ 15 boxes. 3 darn hours to a storage shed 2 miles away. Final cost quoted $350. My husband gave them $300 and that was that. Worst moving company. Do not trust the quotes they give you. Kandikeenan Chandler, ArizonaU.S.A.

SUBSHINE MOVERS - cardenas movers mistreated disabled woman Internet
This is a complaint about a moving co called Sunshine Movers Aka Cardenas movers or whomever they decide to email it to. We got someone from the Dallas area and they were awful. The driver lets you know he doesnt want to  be there he actually leaves the loaders there alone does not supervise and stays on the phone so you cannot possibly get any answers from him. He was unprofessional as a mover but was a good scammer. He told us the amount of the move after they loaded everything was 3,000 more than the original 3190.00 we had agreed on. Then they advertise that they wrap everything and cover with blankets they do not. They wrapped part of the items and no blankets. If the blankets had been used then all the items that had huge scratches and the 50 year old piano would have been torn up like it was. Broken glass in china hutches. Nothing got away with out scratches and gouges.  Okay then we let him know she is on a fixed income and doesnt have that kind of money she is also disabled. Its sat 3pm and the banks are closed anyway. The office was also told the same thing and the Mgr says He cannot work under these conditions . So now the delivery gets moved from sat to Monday when the banks are open. What can you do they have your life in the truck already. Now we have packed everything and they were hired do pack also. No help with that. Okay then Monday gets here. We go to the bank. Came through with the additional amount. They come to the delivery point and decided he cant get into the drive which we have never had a problem before. Then he decided to unload in the driveway. Of course after he gets the money. he wouldnt even open the doors on the truck til he got it all. I was also told they would have everything into the building we had purchased just for the stuff. Then the driver decides he is going to unload the stuff into the driveway and what dont fit goes in the street. I asked why and he has decided that the truck needed to be moved and he would unload it then come back and move everything to the building then the story changes. He will not move anything to the building he wants an additional 1500 to do anything else. Then the office wouldnt give us a straight answer and would say the truck needed to be moved and I asked him point blank about it he avoided the question. Then things got heated I called the police the driver was one the phone would not talk to us and told one lady the shut the f..k up. The officer saw the leaking brakes, bald tires, and a few other things and decided the hwy patrol needed to be called. The office then calls and offers a 500.00 discount if we sign a release stating the move went great and that we guarantee no tickets or warrants. He was told we dont have time to talk right now we are busy. Nothing was going to be signed that stated any of that. They also told us her stuff filled the 19 wheeler but if that was true why did it all fit into the 12x32 storage building we had .We were scammed . I will let everyone in the world I can tell know about this company and not to trust the BBB rating and report its not even close to being accurate. This was wrong to do a disabled person this way.  I am sure there is a lot more that I probly forgot  to mention but I feel like I have said most all of the important parts. Oh yeah I also have pictures and witnesses and a police report where we had him come out so I can prove my end to be true.

Good Movers Twin Movers Swindlers, Damaged/Destroyed Property Internet
I used Good Movers d/b/a Twin Movers recently.  On the day of my move, I was hit with a price I had not agreed to when I received my over-the-phone quote.  On the day of the move, the foreman told me that I had to get my stuff shrink wrapped at an additional cost and that I needed to have this done.  Turns out, the guys wanted me to pay extra to have it shrink wrapped because it saved them time rather than having to wrap my furninture in blankets.  The foreman apparently presents their side hustle after he lets you think about the extra (almost double) the price to have everything shrink wrapped.  He came back to me and told me that they will work at the price I was originally quoted but that I have to pay an extra $100 per mover in cash (not shown on the receipt of course) and they will shrink wrap everything and stay until the move is over instead of the timeframe that I was quoted.  What I didn't realize is that only a could of my pieces were wrapped in blankets.  Everything else in terms of furniture was shrink wrapped with no other padding.  As a result, all my furniture that was shrink wrapped was knicked, scraped or permanently damaged.  When they got to my new place, they rushed to put the furniture together, not assembling anything correctly.  Not to mention my walls at both my places were messed up during the move process by the movers.  Unfortunately, the formean again pulled an okie doke on me and had me sign all of the paperwork before they were actually done moving and left me with no reciept at all instead he told me that my bill of lading was my receipt.  The thing is no insurance claim can be filed if you don't have the reciept and your bill of lading has a place where you sign that says it was all recieved in good condition.  It didn't matter that I had gone around with the foreman and recorded everything on paper and by camera with him that had been damaged.  It didn't mean anything though because I am sure all the paperwork disappeared by the time they made it back to the office.  Take my advice, do not use Good Movers or Twin Movers.  They are extremely nice and accomodating over the phone but will swindle you out of your money when they show up and damage your property in the process of moving.

HAWKEYE MOVERS Hack job Movers DAVENPORT, Iowa
I setup a 300 mile move in May 2012. The exact pack and load date was to be June 28. Delivery date was 7-2 to 7-9. I had to do many favors to use a vacation day from work June 28. I wanted a more exact delivery date so they said they could guarantee an unload date of 7-2 or 7-3 for an extra $750. I agreed. On June 23 I was called saying they needed to change the pick up date to 6-30. I was unhappy but agreed. On June 28 they called late in the day to say our guy will not be there until July 1. I told them that was unacceptable. I had bought $13,000 worth of furniture to be delivered to my new place July 1-2 and needed to be there. The guy said, well then you need to find a different mover! and he hung up on me. Of course it is too late to find a new mover to be in town for the start day of my new job. NEVER use these guys! Very unprofessional and untrustworthy!

AAA Storage Systems Professional Movers Movers Duluth Georgia
MY MOVING EXPERIENCE BEGAN IN 2005, WHEN I RECEIEVED A QUOTE VIA THE INTERNET FROM AAA MOVERS OUT OF FLORIDA. I WOULD LEARN THIS WAS ONLY A BROKER. I WAS QUOTED $500. I WAS REQUIRED TO PAY FOR THE DEPOSIT. I PAID WITH MY CREDIT CARD FOR 1/2 OF THE TOTAL, MY DEPOSIT. THE OTHER HALF WOULD BE DUE UPON THE ARRIVAL OF MY GOODS. ON 07/15/05, THE MOVERS CALLED THE DAY EXPECTED AND TOLD ME THEY WERE HAVING CAR TROUBLE BUT THEY WOULD BE THERE WITHIN A COUPLE OF HOURS. I WAITED AROUND MY HOUSE CALLED EVERY HOUR TO GET AN UPDATE...OVER 12 HOURS LATER THEY SHOW UP AT MY HOUSE AFTER 2AM. THEY PACKED EVERYTHING THEY COULD GET THEIR HANDS ON - EVEN MY KITCHEN TRASH AND CONTENTS OF FRIDGE AND GROCERIES. PLEASE NOTE, MY APT WAS ONLY 500SF AND I HAD SOLD EVERYTHING BUT 1 TV, 2 CHILD NIGHT STANDS, A FULL SIZE BED, A COFFEE TABLE, CLOTHES, A BIKE AND MISC BELONGINGS. AROUND 5 AM. WHEN THEY WERE THROUGH, OREN THREW PAPERWORK AT ME. I HAD ORIGINALLY SIGNED A CONTRACT WITH AAA MOVERS THE CONTRACT HE MADE ME SIGN WAS WITH PROFESSIONAL MOVERS 1470 BOGGERS ROAD #205, DULUTH GA 30097. IN ADDITION, SOME OF THE PAPERWORK SAID BEKINS VAN LINES - ALL OF THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RED FLAG, BUT OBLIVIOUS, I SIGNED ASSUMING THE BALANCE WAS AS PROMISED. AT THE END OF THE STACK OF PAPERS I SEE THE BALANCE IS NOW OVER $2600, WITH A MINIMUM DUE OVER $1000. I TOLD THEM THAT I HAD PAID $500 AND ABOUT THE OTHER HALF WAS PAID UPON DELIVERY. HE LAUGHED AT THE QUOTE AND TOLD ME THE MINIMUM WOULD BE $2500. THE CONTRACT HE HAD ME SIGN SAID MINIMUM OF 1082 AND A MAXIMUM TO BE PAID UPON DELIVERY OF 2650. NOTE DUE UPON DELIVERY. I OFFERED TO PAY THE REMAINING $500, AS I ASSUMED THE $500 I HAD PAID EARLIER HAD BEEN APPLIED. HOWEVER, HE SAID THERE NEVER WAS A $500 PAYMENT AND HE DID NOT EVEN WORK FOR THE COMPANY I HAD GIVEN THE PAYMENT INFORMATION TO HE WAS A HIRED MOVED, HIRED BY A BROKER. I TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO HIM AT 5 AM IN CHARLOTTE, NC - IF YOU DO NOT CARRY $1000 AROUND WITH YOU THERE IS NO WHERE TO GET IT, AND THAT THE MAXIMUM I COULD GET OUT OF AN ATM WAS $500. HE GOT MORE AND MORE ANGRY THE MORE I TOLD HIM I HAD ALREADY PAID $500 AND I WOULD PAY HIM $500. HE SCREAMED AT ME AND DEMANEDED PAYMENT OF $1000 THEN $2500 WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DUE UPON RECEIPT OF GOODS?? I DEMANDED THEY REMOVE MY BELONGINGS FROM THE TRUCK. THEY RAN OUT OF MY HOUSE AND SPED OFF - WITH EVERYTHING I OWN EXCEPT MY CLOTHES FOR THE NEXT 2 WEEKS. OREN IN HIS HASTE HAD LEFT BEHIND THE ADDENDUM IT STATED I ACTUALLY OWED A PRIOR COST OF $1082 AND A NEW COST OF $2732. IT WAS A CARBON COPY - AND I KNEW I HAD NOT SIGNED THIS! THERE WAS A $1050 CHARGE FOR PACKING SUPPLIES! IT SAID THE REQUEST FOR CHANGE WAS MADE PRIOR TO LOADING AND WHILE LOADING?? I CALLED THE POLICE, BUT THEY SAID SINCE I HAD HIRED THEM AS MOVERS THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE AND TO CALL THE DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION. THE DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION TOLD ME SINCE THE MOVE WAS ORDERED IN FLORIDA, ORIGINATED IN NORTH CAROLINA AND ENDED IN FLORIDA, THERE WAS NO STATE RESPONSIBLE AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. I CALLED THE MOVER OREN AT 770-630-4313 AND HE SAID THAT THE MINIMUM WAS STILL $2500, AND THIS WAS DUE BEFORE DELIVERY OF GOODS. IF ANY OTHER COSTS HAD ACCRUED BY THE TIME PAYMENT WAS RECEIVED, THE BALANCE HAD TO BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE GOODS WOULD BE DELIVERED. I REMINDED HIM OF THE CONTRACT AND HE TOLD ME I DID NOT KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT AND IT DID NOT MATTER BECAUSE HE HAD MY THINGS SO I HAD TO PAY HIM. I PLEADED WITH THEM MAN TO FOLLOW THE CONTRACT OR AT LEAST DELIVER MY THINGS AT THE PROMISED 50% BALANCE AS I DID NOT KNOW IF THIS MAN EVEN HAD MY THINGS. HE SAID WOULD STORE THE ITEMS FOR FREE FOR A MONTH (THIS BENEFIT WAS ALREADY IN THE ORIGINAL OFFER, SO HE WAS NOT DOING ME ANY FAVORS). HOWEVER, HE REMINDED THE BALANCE HAD TO BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE DELIVERY. I TOLD HIM I DID NOT HAVE $2500 - HE TOLD ME HE WOULD WORK WITH ME AND TO SEND 2 SEPARATE CHECKS MAILED TO 6555 SUGARLOAF PARKWAY, SUITE 307, DULUTH GA 30097: $220 EACH TO AAA STORAGE SYSTEMS AND THE OTHER $265 TO PROFESSIONAL MOVERS. I RECENTLY DISCOVERED ADDRESS OF AAA STORAGE AND SYSTEMS OF 6555 SUGARLOAF PARKWAY, SUITE 307, DULUTH GA 30097 IS ACTUALLY A PO BOX AT MAIL BOXES ETC!! EVEN THOUGH I KNEW IT WAS 100% GAURANTEED I WOULD NEVER SEE MY THINGS AGAIN - I SENT THE PAYMENTS WITH A CERTIFIED CHECK FROM BANK OF AMERICA VIA BILL PAY. SINCE THESE ARE NOT CHECKS I HAD NO IDEA WHETHER THEY HAD BEEN CASHED OR EVEN RECEIVED. HE SWORE HE ONLY RECEIVED ONE OUT OF 10 SENT. EVERYTIME I CALLED FOR MY BALANCE IT WAS $500-$1000 MORE. OCCASIONALLLY, I WOULD GIVE UP AND NOT SEND PAYMENTS. HOWEVER, EVERYTIME EVENTUALLY THE STAB OF PERSONAL BELONGINGS, PHOTOS, FAMILY HEIRLOOMS WOULD ACHE AT ME AND I WOULD SEND ANOTHER PAYMENT. THIS WENT ON FOR 2 YEARS. WHEN ASKED TO SEND A STATEMENT AFTER 1 YEAR, HE STATED I HAD PAID ONLY $2500 AND MY NEW BALANCE WAS $4500. I ARGUED THIS AND HE SAID HE WOULD KNOCK OFF A FEW MONTHS OF STORAGE TO EVEN IT OUT. THIS STATEMENT WAS MAIL ED FROM PRO MOVE AT 8009 WOOD IRON DRIVE, DULUTH GA 30097. AFTER ANOTHER YEAR I ASKED AGAIN FOR A STATEMENT - IT STILL ONLY SHOWED $2500 PAID AND MY NEW BALANCE WAS $5500. THIS STATEMENT CAME FROM AAA STORAGE SYSTEMS, 6555 SUGARLOAF PARKWAY, SUITE 307, DULUTH, GA 30097. THIS ONLY REAFFIRMED THE FACT THAT IHAD BEEN SCAMMED THE INVOICE ALSO SHOWED THE MONTHLY PAYMENTS PAID TO PROFESSIONAL MOVERS, BUT IT SHOWED THEM PAID TO AAA STORAGE. I DEMANDED PROOF THAT HE HAD MY THINGS, HE SAID THAT THE STORAGE SAPCE WAS FULL AND HE HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS MINE AND THAT THIS WAS NOT POSSIBLE AND THAT HE WOULD NOT DO IT IF IT WAS POSSIBLE, I OWED HIM MONEY AND I WOULD GET MY THINGS WHEN I PAID HIM - BUT WHAT WAS THE TOTAL DUE?? WHEN ASKED TO SUBSTANTIATE THE UNCHANGING BALANCE PAID AND THE EVERY GROWING BALANCE DUE, HE TOLD ME THE MONTHS I HAD NOT PAID WERE ADDED IN ADDITION TO EXTRA STORAGE FEES - AS HE SAID MY BELONGINGS FILLED AN ENTIRE 52' TRUCK! MY PARENTS MOVED FROM A 3000SF FILLED HOME AND FILLED A 52' TRUCK - A FAR CRY FROM A 500SF APT WITH NEXT TO NO FURNITURE. THIS MAN ACTUALLY CALLS ME AND ASKS ME IN 2008 ASKING IF I WANTED TO BEGIN REPAYMENT?? DO NOT BELIEVE IF YOU HEAR OF THE LAW THAT A MOVER MUST SEND YOU A CERTIFIED NOTICE BEFORE THEY AUCTION/DISPOSE OF YOUR THINGS, I KEEP WAITING, HOPING I CAN PAY WHATEVER IMAGINARY NUMBER FLOATS HIS BOAT THAT DAY - BUT I KNOW IT WILL NEVER COME. I WOULD LOVE TO GET BACK WHAT HE STOLE FROM ME, BUT I KNOW THAT THEY WERE LONG GONE BEFORE I MADE THAT FIRST CHECK OUT. WHEN I BEGAN RESEARCHING, OBVIOUSLY I WAS EXTREMELY IGNORANT TO MOVING COMPANIES. I WAS OVERWHELMED AT THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS AND STORIES SIMILAR TO MINE. THIS MAN IS A SCAM ARTIST. Authorized Movers Movers ripoff North Miami Florida Internet
On July 23, 2007, the movers from Authorized Movers showed up at my home. They were rude from the very beggining. The Man, Chen, called upstairs, who said he was the foreman, and told us that there was no parking, and if he got a ticket, we would have to pay it for him. We called the main office and he called my husband and said to forget about it. The movers then began numbering the boxes ans taking our things out. Once they began loading the truck, the foreman told my husband that there would be additional charges because our items occupied more cubic feet then estimated. Mind you that when we reserved this move, we spoke to a very polite woman named Jennifer who told us that we should leave everything we have bc it would be cheaper for us, because the more you have the less weight we charge. Well, the case was that we ended leaving our living room set, our son's twin bed, and our dinner table, because we could not afford the additional charges. Once everything was laoaded on the truck he told us that the total was 1925.00 , which we could not understand. So we were going to give him 50% of the quoted price of $1447, which is what the online contract stated., and the hard copy contract, but he said no, he wanted half of $1925.00. We called the office several times, bc we were so confused, and they told us to pay the half of the $1447.00, when we told Chen that he said no he wanted the half $1925.00. We asked him to call the office and he said he was not going to do that bc he was the boss. Anyhow, eventually we told him, fine. We were so confused at this point we just wanted them to leave. He told us our mover could be in Texas by the 28th of July, the latest the 3rd of August. The 3rd of August came and no one showed up. I called them and they said, it will probably be there on Monday. It is now August 13th and i still do not know when my move is coming. I call everyday several times a day. I have been told that i am being rude, by calling so much, and that my calls are being recorded. They are basically threatening me for calling them so much. I just want to know where my things are. They hang up on me all the time, or they trnasfer to they long-distance department, but no one ever answers. We have filed complaints with several agencies. I want to get the word out, that in the beginning they will treat you like royalty, once your things are in the truck, they change the story. At this point, I just want my things. Anyone who has dealt with this company will understand. Nomoveintx Killeen, TexasU.S.A.

CR Movers lazy, lying, ripoff movers Denver Colorado
Our first time using professional movers was an experience I don't wish upon anyone. These worthless wastes of human life lied and misrepresented the company. It turns out the owner was just the same. Nevermind the scratches on the walls of our new house, or our destroyed microwave which was promised to be replaced but never has been, or the mess they left at the apartment throwing important papers on the floor. They lied and misrepresented the job they did, and stole our money. They told my wife and me that they would only take cash, ironically because crooks took them last month for several thousands of dollars using credit cards and checks, which was our biggest mistake. Trusting them to be professional movers, my wife and I were not there to monitor them at the old apartment. When I met them at the new house after they were finished, they took $500 cash claiming the job took them 4.5 hours. Now, I've never hired movers before, but my doubts were confirmed afterwards how ridiculous that amount of time was for 3 guys for a small 2 bedroom apartment with very little heavy furniture to move (most of it being delivered from the store) and most of our things already boxed up. Upon my return to the old apartment later, it turns out there was quite a bit still there (3-4 car loads), so it's absurd if they left so much behind that it took 4.5 hours. The most shocking discovery was when I opened my refrigerator to see a bitten salami stick and block of cheese thrown back in there carelessly, and a pitcher full of juice drunk, and some missing food (brisket, frozen microwavable food). It turns out the missing food, which they deny taking, was prepared and eaten on my dollar. The wrappers for the missing brisket and jalapeno poppers were found later hidden underneath the sink. If not for my mistake of paying cash to these losers, I would've just disputed this with my credit card company. Instead, I've been dealing with a deceitful owner who has promised several times to replace our damaged microwave with a used one, which he denied at first ever happened, and still has not replaced. When I called back for the last time, he started yelling at me that I'm still bugging him about this?! and has admittedly been screening his calls. When I confronted him about his employees stealing our food and eating it while on the clock, his movers denied ever taking anything. When I demanded at least a partial refund for their misrepresentation of the amount of time it took while they obviously took the time instead to cook and eat, he brushed me off and hung up on me and my wife. Not only have our attempts to contact the owner, Carl, been futile, but he has been also ignored attempts by the Better Business Bureau, of whom they are supposedly a member of. We've heard horror stories from friends and families' experiences with moving companies, but this is reprehensible not only as a business, but as human beings. I won't say we'll never use moving companies again, but we will definitely research who to use in the future. Most importantly, we will never use cash. My wife has contacted the BBB, a local troubleshooter on the radio/news, and is planning on contacting a civil attorney. But I am curious to know how you can make their lives hell (busted knee caps wouldn't be bad) and help us get a full refund plus the cost to replace our microwave. George Aurora, Colorado

Hawaiian movers Hawaiian Movers lie and cheat Hawaii Hawaii
Hawaiian Movers will cheat you in every way they can.  First, Nichole will sound very friendly on the phone and tell you everything you want to hear.  Such as; you will have your own container that will pick up your household goods and deliver it right to your door in Hawaii.   Then you make an estimate of you volume and sign up.  Next step is a local shipment company will arrive days or weeks late at you house with a panel truck to pick up  your stuff.  Too late to do anything about it.  There is no container.  Your stuff will be moved to California to a ware house to be consolidated with others to ship to Hawaii.   Then Dennis (French accent) will call you to inform you that you have to pay more becasue you are 500 cubic feet over your contract amount.  This, despite that the local movers had told you that your are under you contracted amount.  Now you have to wait until a 45ft high cube container is full before it will ship out of California.  That is, if Matson gets paid first because these people have ripped off Matson too many times. Then when it finally arrives in Hawaii your stuff needs to be loaded into local panel trucks for delivery.  The local people will want to be paid and you will have to pony up cash for them.   They will claim the Hawaiian movers does not pay them. Since your stuff will have been moved over 5 times, expect some major damage, missing items and some added bonus of other peoples items in you shipment.  Your insurance that you paid extra will be worthless as they sill not pay. Read up on reviews including West Point Relocation and other names that this company has used in the past.  They typically go bankrupt when the reviews and unpaid bills catch up wiith them.  Then they reopen under another name, but the scam continues. Do not use Hawaiian movers or any other fake company name that they use.  Do your research first.  There are other companies that will not cheat you.  Or, just move it your self using Matson as the over water carrier.

Availabe Movers Worst movers on earth Sterling Virginia
This moving company is the worst Northern VA offers. Two weeks back I contacted them and expressed being leery of other movers in other locations due to some of them with bad reviews. I expressed I wanted to deal with a local mover because I was only moving under 10 miles. The manager appeared to have felt been in tune to my biggest fear, and that was being provided an estimate and then the day of the move be charged almost double the amount for adding an additional stop to storage that was on the way to the new address. She came across as so honest and caring. The day of the move everything was going well as she kept me in the loop with the arrival time. I told her I wanted to make a small detour to the storage on the way, and I asked the cost. I was quoted the $69 per hour, with the two movers. Oh, as you can guess the movers arrived at approximately 4:30 as not much time is left in the day.The management team arrived to access my boxes and other things. Imagine them deciding that a third man was required so they could charge $100 per hour. Being that it was late and time running out, I asked them to negotiate a lower rate that was in my budget. Trapped in my garage with them, and the movers had loaded about 30 minutes worth of my things on the truck, the only choice I had was to allow them to overcharge me the double amount from the original estimate.  This move ended up costing me over $850 when I was quoted $450. The only thing that changed was one stop to the storage unit and I told her I was moving from a two bedroom apartment on the second level. Additional insult to injury came as I had to deal with unprofessional movers in that my very expensive sofa fabric was torn and the solid wood arms were nicked/scratched as the movers laid the sofa against a hard surface unprotected from being wrapped with cloths and tape. One of the movers turned my leather ottoman face down on the leather side instead of the legs of the ottoman. I have photos of all the damage. I could not believe these guys both management and the movers. Remember, great employees come from having management who treats its customers fair and ethical.

Master Movers Master Movers or Master Scammers Indianapolis Indiana
Crooks and scam artists!  My original quote was for $544 to move all my large furniture out, store it for a week and then deliver it to my new location.  I received several invoices, payment receipts and documents by e-mail (all of which I have kept as a matter of record) with differing amounts of them; the price kept changing and they could not provide a proper invoice.  Finally after complaining about the changing price, we settled on a new change of $578, which I paid in full before the price changed again.  The movers arrived, pulled all of my furniture out into the street, then informed me that they had ran out of time and I needed to pay an additional $190 for two more hours of labor so they could load the furniture in the street onto the truck.   $578 + $190 = $778   When the movers brought the items to my new location, they said I owed an additional $265 according to their office.  They could not begin unloading the truck until I paid the ransom.   $578 + $190 + $265 = $1043  Don’t let them do this to you too!

Jet Movers ripoff TamaracTamarac Florida
I recently moved from Michigan to Maryland for a new job. I signed a contract with Jet Movers, Inc., of Sunrise, Florida, to move my furniture and other belongings. Jet's information is: Yossi Harel, President 7061 W. Commercial Blvd., #5G Tamarac, FL 33319 (866) 557-6683 MC# 438079 DOT# 1049115 Jet picked up my belongings a month ago, on June 6, 2005. After loading the van, they demanded an additional $500 over the agreed-upon contract price. I felt compelled to pay the additional fee as they had all of my belongings. Although more than a month has passed, Jet has not delivered my belongings and will not give me a delivery date. I have been in almost daily telephone contact with them to no avail. Meanwhile, I do not have any furniture in my apartment. Helen Baltimore, MarylandU.S.A.

The Movers ripoff Tucson Arizona
I had arranged a local move, via phone, with The Movers. I needed 2 men to load & unload their truck on 10/12/05 with an arrival time of 2-3pm. Dom originally had arranged the move (a week prior) and was very helpful and professional. On 10/11/05 I was forced to change the move to 10/13/05 as the seller was going to be late vacating the home I purchased. I spoke with Melissa and she said it would be no problem; the movers would arrive between 2-3pm. At 1:30pm on the 13th I called to see when they would be arriving. Melissa said she spoke with her driver 15 minutes earlier and they were still on a move that was larger than they had expected and they would arrive 'closer to 3'. No problem. At 3:30 I called back as no one had arrived. Melissa said she could not contact her driver. I asked if they were still coming out that day and she would not answer. I explained that I had no choice but to be out of the house that day and if they could not move me I would need to start looking for another company right then. She said they would be out 'soon. I asked if I could have a general time frame (so I could get dinner in the meantime). She became irritated and snapped at me that she could not guarantee anything and she would contact her driver and call me right back. At 4:00pm I called back but the phone immediately rang to voice mail. I left a message for Melissa to please call back and let me know if they were coming out. I continued to call until 4:40pm with the phone routing to voice mail each time. They never called back and never showed up. I was forced to hire 2 movers at the last minute. It cost me $100/hour and the move was not finished until after 10:00pm. I called Melissa back first thing 10/14/05 to ask for the owner's name. She did not know it. I asked for the manager's name. She only knew the first name and guessed at the last name. I told her she was very unprofessional and that I was contacting both her manager and the owner to make sure they knew how unprofessional she had been in handling this. If she had been a bit empathetic, or called back, or told me they would not be out I would have chalked it up to 'one of those things' and let it go but Melissa ignored me and my situation. I told her that I feel The Movers should pay the difference in their moving cost and what I had to pay and that she should apologize to me. She had nothing to say. So now I am filing a complaint with the BBB and they require an address for The Movers. Interestingly, there isn't one that I can locate. I have been calling The Movers all morning to get that information and, once again, Melissa has forwarded all phones to voice mail.... Donata Tucson, ArizonaU.S.A.

Apartment Movers ripoff Phoenix Arizona
On January 2, 2004 we moved with Apt Movers. They were 8 hours late for their start time, they called once to say they would be 2 hours late. During the move they broke two pieces of furniture, a floor lamp and an entertainment unit. They tried to hide both breaks. They did not let us know they damaged or broke any item when it qas quite evident that both items were broken. When we called the company they seemed concerned, asked for photographs and told us that they would be mailing us a check for the damaged items. After a month went by, we called to see how everything was going and that is when everything started to go down hill. They said it would take 8 weeks for the check to process. At 8 weeks we called and they stated that we would not be recieving any money for our damaged and irreplacable items. We have tried to call once a week, wrote e-mails as late as 4/2/04. Management refuses to take our calls and will not respond to our e-mails. Deyo Mesa, ArizonaU.S.A.

Starving Student Movers - HUGE rip off!
I had six piece s of furniture that needed to be moved. Starving student movers gave me an estimate. They said it would take less than three hours. Their minimum was three hours, so I signed up. The men got to my house and spend an hour cleaning out the truck. Then they spent time on the phone. Then they got lost gong to the new house. I enedd up being charged for five hours. Then they had the balls to tell me that they wanted a tip! Three of the pieces of furniture were damaged. I took pictures, and called to complain. Starving Student Movers sent a form to fill out to claim damage, but then I never heard from them again. I definitely wouldn't do business with them again, and I'd recommend everyone else stay away from them too! Click here to read other Rip-off Reports on Starving Student Movers
