Platinum Television Group Food for Thought on Understanding TV Advertising Deerfield Beach Florida
I received an email update regarding PTG, and it seems as if the owner is trying to beat around the bush. #1 Fortune 500 companies wouldn't even think of doing business with a company like them. These companies go direct, and pay for TV COMMERCIALS. The costs can be high if you go this route, as I would have to pay over 65,000. to be aired on life time television, but this was across the entire USA. During a show that pertained to my business entirely. However for a small company to place them selves on TV, is at small costs if you do it on your local free broadcasting stations or cable companies. I only paid about 400.00 to have 2 commercials made up, from my local cable company. Beta's were made for only 50.00 extra so that I was able to air on KMSP 9 and Fox 29. #2 After having had the talk with Platinum Television Company, I took my own time to research how TV works. I contacted several companies, and none of which I contacted knew of PTG. Including HGTV, Pax and lifetime. #3 If you are a small business, don't let them prey on you. Go directly to your local TV company, and for 19,000.00 you can get a huge and I mean a huge amount of air time across your entire state. Some even running at only 15.00 per 30 second spot. Small companies are PTG's perfect prey, for you are so eager to become big. Always remember though, that all good things come to those who work their way up. #5 As a business owner, I budget about 5000. a year for TV, but I get my money's worth right here in my own state. I get great feed back and I didn't have to wait for a show, that doesn't exist. Or deal with a company I don't even know. #6 One last thought, you don't need PTG to place you on a television show to be on TV, the show it self is paid for by it's advertisers, like me or you or any other solicitor. If they want to feature you on a TV SHOW, they should be paying you for your expertise........ I hope this helps other's in their future TV advertising ventures. Cathy Waconia, MinnesotaU.S.A.

Platinum Television Group, New Line Media TV ripoff, scam, fraud Deerfield Florida
Just FYI. Platinum Television Group is also operating as New Line Media TV, New Line Media, Inc www.NewLineMediaTv.com Contacted by; Nick Veser - nveser@newlinemediatv.com Darrell Lee - dlee@newlinemediatv.com Same shows, similar website. Same address and phone number. Why do they need two names? Probably because ripoffreport.com has saved too many people. (saved me, thank you) They were promoting a show called 'Competitive Edge' that airs on BOTH espn2 and FoxSports. 2 Issues, 1, Both ESPN and FoxSPorts do not 'license' shows, they produce all of their own teleivision and 2, they would never show the same show, they are direct competitors. Platinum Television Group ripoff liars hoax scam unprofessional aggressive Deerfield Beach Florida
I was contacted by someone at Platinum Television trying to feature our company on their Great Tastes TV show. We did our research, and their website seemed professional and thorough, so we decided to proceed with a second sales call that was to take place in a week. As the public relations director for our company, I thought this would be a great idea. Never did anyone mention paying for services up to this point. The second call came a week later from Robert Posner, creative director for Great Tastes. After about 40 minutes on the phone, I realized I was being finagled into purchasing air time on this particular program. As soon as I realized that our creative meeting was really a long, drawn out sales pitch, I was on alert. Then the question came, Is this something you would like to move forward with? I did not say the word yes because I am aware of telemarketers who will record your conversation and dub that yes into a verbal agreement to proceed with services. When I would not respond, Robert was angered. I told him I would have to think about it and that he should call me back. In the mean time, I read a little more about the company and all of the similar situations that have happened to other folks. He called back within the week, and I would not take his call. Then, he called again, on a back line, and he reached me. He immediately asked why I hadn't called him back. I told him I had been busy all week, and that we were not interested. He got very angry with me over the phone and demanded I tell him when I was going to let him know of our intentions. I told him I was not obligated to do anything. He said, When were you going to tell me you weren't interested? I started to respond and before I could finish my sentence, he hung up on me! Stay away from these people! They have shady written all over them! Nickie Gainesville, FloridaU.S.A.

Platinum Television Group ripoff Advertising Scam Disguised as Cable Network Production Deerfield Beach Florida
Platinum Group Television creative director Jill Brevda contacted me to tell me that the university at which I work - a public university in California - was being screened for possible selection in a series that ABC Family was airing sometime in August called Universities of Distinction. Prior to speaking with me she tried to contact our university President directly and was bounced to me in our public affairs office. She told me that if our university was chosen, our 5-7 minute segment would air on ABC Family and other family oriented cable networks. The aim was to give parents choices and information about how to prepare kids to attend college. Never once was there mention of a fee for service - she said that ABC Family was working with PTGTV to put these segments on the air but didn't say exactly how the two were connected. **Nowhere on PTGTV's Web site is there any mention of fees for ad placement.** After a lengthy twenty minute interview about our school and its teaching philosophy I expained that I would get back to Jill as to whether or not this type of project was something the university wanted to pursue. I immediately went online to research the Platinum Group and found this website where a recent blog from someone who had been duped mentioned an insertion fee/licensing fee. When I called Jill to verify that there was a fee she told me that PTGTV puts up some $250,000 to produce the ad segment and asks the company that is profiled to contribute $19,000 for a licensing fee. The fee supposedly gives the participating company the right to script approval and input in production. Um, HELLO - NOT! If ABC Family wanted to do a segment on our university it would do it for free - that's what media do. I wonder how ABC Family would feel about having there name used in this project. When I told Jill that a state run university doesn't have the budget for the type of advertising she was suggesting, she wanted confirmation from the President's office. When I told her I would get it and the answer would be still be no she hung up with me and kicked her sales pitch into panic mode. Jill Brevda called my Vice President's office and told the VPs executive assistant that she, Jill Brevda who had no idea about our university other than what she read on the web, knew better than I did about what was good for the university and that she knew more about the university than I did. Buyer beware - Platinum Group Television is not a cable network nor is it directly connected to a cable network other than to use your money to buy ad space and make themselves money... S. Platinum Television Group, PTG Platinum Televison Group disguises itself as a news production company but charges huge fees Deerfield Beach Florida
Platinum Television Group (PTG) tries to pass itself off as a producer of educational programs that air on the Hallmark Channel and ABC Family TV. They find your information on the web or in press releases and make you think that some big shot network is interested in your story. What they don't tell you is that they charge you a $19,000 licensing fee for your segment. Excuse me -- legitimate TV stations never charge any sort of fee like that to anybody. I used to work in TV and I know this for a fact. Any time you hear that there is a fee for distribution of your segment RUN the other way. I called the ABC Family Channel and they had never heard of Platinum Television Group. Furthermore, they told me that they never use those sorts of services for any of their programs. So please beware of these scam artists. If you want legitimate coverage of your story or your product, hire a reputable PR person or write a letter to your local TV station. You can also make a press release for free on any number of PR websites. You don't need to spend $19,000 to spread the word about yourself. Nicole Paterson, New JerseyU.S.A.

Platinum Television Group Is it worth it? A company providing TV programming This is basically TV advertising disguised. ripoff Deerfield Beach Florida
My company was contacted by Platinum Television Group sometime in October 2003. They told me that they are the producer of a TV show that appears on Tech TV, MSNBC and others. They wanted to interview me as an expert in my industry. We are an internet based company providing business services and they wanted to interview me as the president of the company and feature us in their show. They said the show will have 3 companies featured. Each company will get 5-7 minutes airtime. So after talking to me for about 10-15 minutes and explaining their process, they told me that there is a fee of about $20k for producing the show, which is passed on to me. Now at first this seemed to be an awful lot, so I told them that I would think about it. I put a few days of thought into it and asked the company to send me some references and example clips. I contacted all the references and they were all happy with the results. I viewed the movie clips provided by Platinum Television Group and they were all professionally done. So where is the rip-off in all this??? Well I guess the $20k is the catch. They don't tell you about this up front. You have to consider your business model and do some research on your own. This is an awful lot of money, but for some companies it may be worth it. My own company makes $10k-$15k profit on an average deal, so theoretically, if we got 2 clients out of this show we would make our money back. Well I have still not signed up with them, due to some financial reasons. However, I am pretty confident that for my own company this would be a worthwhile process and I am definitely planning on trying it out in the next 6 months. I will come back here and post the results. So the final decision comes down to each company. This is basically TV advertising disguised. Peter Los Anegles, CaliforniaU.S.A.

New Line Media TV AKA New Line Media AKA Platinum Television Group AKA PTG Studios We pledged to make our priority to take NEW LINE MEDIA aka PLATINUM TELEVISION GROUP down Deerfield Beach, Florida
COMPANIES THAT RIP YOU OFF: New Line Media TV (http://www.newlinemediatv.com) New Line Media (http://www.newlinemedia.com) Platinum Television Group (http://www.platinumtelevisiongroup.com) East Coast Studios PGT Studios (http://www.ptgstudios.com) PEOPLE WHO RIP YOU OFF: Most of the names are made up and will be changed as soon as this report is published: Mike Veser ? same as Mike Falk Darrell Lee Doug Scott (apparently the president and the owner of their domain names) Scot Pariselli (creative director) Dave Johnson (pre-production) Gary Barris (show airings) Interesting, if it is a reputable company, why don't they have any of their email accounts set-up? (mfalk@newlinemediatv.com neither does info@newlinemediatv.com work, or Nick Veser - nveser@newlinemediatv.com or Darrell Lee - dlee@newlinemediatv.com) HOW IT WORKS? My company is a leading provider of medical tourism guidance. On Monday, January 15, we were contacted by Mike Veser from New Line Media TV, who claimed that he was working for a production company and that they were filming a new series called ?Business and Beyond? and that we had been specially selected to participate. We were told that these shows would be played on CNN, DISCOVERY and other major channels. Mike also informed me that in order to participate, we needed to answer more questions so that they could ensure that we were a good fit with the show. Mike sounded very professional. In fact, I was convinced and as a result, became very excited about our participation in the show. I did not suspect this to be a scam since we are often contacted by various media outlets who want to run a story on us. Being contacted by NEW LINE MEDIA TV, who claimed to have produced shows for major TV companies, was no exception, and therefore did not arouse any suspicion from our part. We scheduled another conference call because Mike expressed his wish to make sure, yet again, that the show and our company were a good fit. During our second phone conversation, Mike asked me numerous questions and practically made me sweat trying to get more information out from me. Evidently, we really wanted to be featured in their ?Business and Beyond? show. Knowing this, Mike used the opportunity to pull my strings by asking the proper questions and, as I later found out, by reading a well written script. Our conversation ended after a long and intense 45 minutes. He expressed his strong belief that we were almost a definite fit, but he added that he had to pass this information to his CREATIVE DIRECTOR (the senior producer of the show). In the very end, he mentioned, almost as an afterthought, a $27,000 licensing fee in order to cover some production costs. In order to guarantee to him that we were serious about carrying through with the project, he demanded that we pay the fee right away?before the production of the movie. I became suspicious as soon as he told me about this ?licensing fee?. I became outraged because I felt like my time was wasted. However, we agreed to another conference call with the senior producer of the show to take place that Friday (two days later). This was a cleverly chosen date because, as I later realized, it gave them enough time to send me a ?brain-washing? package that arrived the next day by DHL. The package did indeed arrive the next day. (you could find the package on my website). It contained pages of irrelevant data (provided in order to create a false impression of professionalism) and yet more questions for me to answer. This package was definitely intended to convince and reassure us of their commitment and, most of all, to secure them the $27,000 sale. Curious, but mostly annoyed, I spent some time online researching their company, NEW LINE MEDIA TV. Surprisingly, I found numerous RIPOFFREPORTS on the subject. Dozens of people provided true and accurate information about the company and the people who work there. Everything became crystal clear: I almost fell into the trap and became a victim of VIDEO PRODUCTION SCAM ARTISTS. Being a big participator in the Anti-Scam Community and having successfully taken Nigerian scam artists to justice before, I decided to spend some time gathering as much information as possible about NEW LINE MEDIA TV, in order to expose their scam and protect people from becoming victims of it. My search led me to numerous RIPOFF REPORTS (view the links at the bottom of this memo). It was very interesting to discover that this very company operates under multiple names such as NEW LINE MEDIA, NEW LINE MEDIA TV, PLATINUM TELEVISION GROUP, PTGTV, etc. I pledged to make it my priority to take them down and to fight their scams so that other people would not get caught up in the same web of lies. I will provide as much information as possible so that anyone affected can join me and my war against NEW LINE MEDIA TV and PLATINUM TELEVISION GROUP. I will proceed in 4 STEPS (you will find out soon :) ) LINK SPAMMING AND LINK FARMS by New Line Media TV If you do a search for PLATINUM TELEVISION GROUP or NEW LINE MEDIA TV on Google, it might at first seem like there is a lot of information about them. However, upon closer examination, one can easily recognize that all of the websites are being used by the scammers themselves to promote and publicize press releases. But the most important step, which is 100% illegal is link spamming. All these websites are LINK FARMS?an illegal tactic to boost your website in search engines. Once the search engines are made aware of this unethical and illegal tactic, the links will be removed forever. Another illegal technique that the scammers use is called ?Back Door pages?, only visible by search engines and extraordinary users. http://www.knowledgemechanics.com/ http://www.pghcenarts.net/ http://www.onexinc.com/ http://www.hostedition.com/ http://www.ericisgood.com/ http://ww.platinumtelevisiongroupivica/ http://www.calicutbarassociation.net/ http://www.globalhowler.com/ http://www.d3studio.net/ http://www.devito-web.com http://www.polonia1tv.com/ http://www.devito-web.com/ http://www.calicutbarassociation.net/ AND MANY MORE? Most importantly, all of the ?WHO IS?? information is hidden on all of the names; this is 100% illegal. These websites are used to create fake PRESS RELEASES and to boost their main websites in search engine standings. This is very illegal. The penalization for this is to be removed from the search engine for ever. A lot of money was spent on search engine optimization, but it all will be gone in a second. THE WAR HAS BEGUN: News Line Media TV and Platinum Television Group started a full-scale operation against me. They have removed many of the videos of my exposing phone conversation with one of their scammers. In doing so, they made me even more determined in taking them down and there is nothing that will stop me. My actions were recognized much faster than I expected. Within the first two days of my videos being available for viewing, there have been more than 5,000 views in total. It is therefore not surprising that the NEW LINE MEDIA TV / PLATINUM TELEVISION GROUP scammers decided to take them down. What's my response? Bring it on! For every video they manage to remove or block, I will upload three more. There is nothing that will stop me. First, I was going to treat this as a small project and work on it in my spare time. This is no longer the case. Now we have a staff of four people who dedicate themselves fully to the fight against VIDEO PRODUCTION SCAMS. Also, thanks to the mass exposure of our website miraviroc.com we have received e-mails from volunteers who wish to help us fight the predators. Today I was contacted by someone from the scam company once again. He chose not to give me his name, and started asking questions regarding the ownership of the website (www.miraviroc.com). He also demanded that I remove all of the information from the site. Since he refused to tell me his name, I ended the conversation immediately. I would like to emphasize the importance of spreading the word on this subject. It is the only way that we can guarantee that these predators are not able to strike again. To achieve victory in this inevitable war against scam artists, people must unite and commit to the common goal of delivering justice to scammers. Everyone knows that together, as a group, it is easier to make your voice heard than if each man was to speak for himself. This is why an organized effort must be made to bring together all past, present and future victims of scamming to make sure that it does not happen again. Mikhail Ottawa, OntarioCanada

VIDEO PRODUCTION SCAM - New Line Media TV, , Platinum Television Group, PTG Studios - BEWARE of - NICK VESER and DOUG SCOTT- they are scammers from FLORIDA - PLATINUM TELEVISION GROUP - Deerfield Beach, Florida, USA Nationwide
Now more than ever, it is critical for people to see and witness the ways in which scam artists operate so that they can recognize if and when they become the targets of such traps. Just recently, I had the opportunity to observe scammers in action. By entering a search in Google Video for New Line Media or Platinum Television Group, you will see exactly what I mean. This will hopefully make you aware of some of the strategies and tactics that scammers use to lure people into their traps. Notice how confused the scammer becomes when he is confronted with questions that he is obviously unprepared for. He keeps repeating the same answers over and over again, as if he was reading them directly off of a script. What I would like to know is: why should someone who has done nothing but lie, deceive and exploit the effort and hard work of honest people deserve to benefit in any shape or form from these actions? Is it fair that people who dedicate all of their time, energy and resources to establishing a successful business are stripped not only of their money, but also of their dignity? Personally, I consider it an insult to my intelligence and a complete waste of my time to be approached by a scammer and to be manipulated into giving money to someone who is not only undeserving, but also too lazy to find an honest job. So please, spread the word. The best way to fight these scam artists is to educate yourself about them. Remember to check out the exposure tapes on Google video so you can recognize if this is happening to you. I can't stress the importance of staying informed on this subject. Since scammers devote their whole lives to cheating others of their money, it is our duty to educate ourselves and to take action so that they are not able to benefit from what is rightfully ours. New Line Media TV, New Line Media, Platinum Television Group, PTG Studios BEWARE - VIDEO PRODUCTION SCAMMERS - BOGUS TV SHOWS - NICK LEVER - DOUG SCOTT Deerfield Beach, Florida, USA NATIONWIDE
I am surprised and disgusted at the lengths some people will go to in order to cheat others of their hard-earned money. http://www.newlinemediatv.com, http://www.platinumtelevision.com, http://www.ptgstudios.com . These scammers and others like them take advantage of other people's hard work and dedication, without any regret, guilt or apology. When confronted about what they were doing, Newline Media TV was unable to provide any clear answers or explanations to their company's involvement in these dishonest and unethical schemes. The only answer they managed to come up with is that the accusations made against them were based on false information. However, they did not provide any evidence to support this claim. Also, their spokesman?although claiming to have worked there for several years?was surprisingly unaware and oblivious to much of the company's history and current involvements. From first-hand experience, these scammers showed a total disregard for other people's valuable time and energy. Instead of earning their money respectably, they sink to the lowest levels by exploiting the good will of people who work long and hard to establish a good reputation for themselves and their businesses. They asked unnecessary questions posing as a bogus television production company, all as a cover for a deceitful and unethical scheme to scam money from innocent people. It is the ultimate form of disrespect and I can't believe that they can live with themselves after doing these things. To spend so much time and effort into deceiving other people, in my opinion, is repulsive and shameful. Overall, this experience has taught me to be more skeptical of other people and their intentions. It would be nice to live in a world where this type of thing wouldn't happen, but I guess that just isn't realistic. Terry Kelleher of Platinum Film & Television Simply an abhorent and incredibly greedy man st remy saint remy
I feel quite ashamed to admit, the person being described in these reports is in fact my Uncle. It is with even more sadness that I am forced to reveal that the majority of these accusations are quite true. Terry stated a film production company in 1992 and soon reaslied than it would be easier to aquire content to 'sell on' to other, predominantly american companies, than to produce factual informative documentary work himself. Yes, he and his company produced a very limited number of programmes, but the mainstay of his income was from the latter. I myself was forced to become a part of this, 'monitoring' as he described to my cost. As I recently discovered, it invloved utilising contacts established by my own father and without adding too much detail, extended to 24 hour 'highly illegal' surveillance. The amalgamation of this information has been sold to establishments such as the BBC and a host of other media production facilities, irrespective of my protests. Terry officially closed the company in 2002, but it was simply an effort to cover his tracks as the profits were used to start up a 'now failing' property protfolio. Please, with urgency, do not become a victim of his or any other company of this nature, they and he in particular have caused nothing but conflict, stemming from deceit and overwhelming greed. The woman in question Deborah Davies, worked with Terry, minimally and clearly is unaware of his true nature. He although my uncle is a deplorble human being.

Platinum Benefits Group ripoff Clearwater Florida
My story is EXACTLY like Tynia's of Maryland. I had $139.95 taken out of my account by Platinum Benefits Group even though I did not authorize them to do so. On 09/05/06 they took the money out of my account. I IMMEDIATELY contacted them on 09/06 to have it refunded. They said they'd send a form. I FINALLY received the form (after two phone calls) on 09/18. I immediately completed the form and returned it to them on 09/19. I had to do three more phone calls and have still not received my money back. I wish I had seen your site earlier. I would have done all this earlier. I have now contacted my bank and will proceed from there. Their customer service people are RUDE! They always questioned and in fact specifically told me DIRECTLY THEY DO NOT REFUND. Thank you for your site, it has been invaluable. I have forwarded your address to my bank so they can see this too!! Denise Tumwater, WashingtonU.S.A.

Platinum Group LLC SCAM!!! Internet
This company lures people into thinking they are applying for  loan. What's really going on is they enroll applicants into something called Savings Pay and debits $99 from applicant's bank account, then $14.95 every month thereafter. Calling the company results in an 'operator' answering the phone and takes a message. Telephone calls are not returned. SCAM SCAM SCAM

platinum online group complete SCAM! Internet
$99.00 was withdrawn from my bank account without my authorization!  Everytime I call to cancel the membership they tell me that someone will contact me within 24 hours.  I've made multiple calls and it seems as though I speak to the same representative  who obviously is programmed in giving you the same response.  They have really f***** with the wrong person because I am seeking an investigation on this alleged company.  I will put a stop to this, you can bet on it!  *EDitor's Suggestions on how to get your money back into your bank account that someone wrongfully takes it from you!  EDitor's Suggestions on how to et your money back! HERE IS WHAT RIP-OFF REPORT SUGGESTS YOU DO: Go to your bank within 60 days of the charge, or as soon as you know about the charge, don't delay, and tell them that there has been fraudulent activity within your account. Explain that you wish to file a dispute, and demand that they assist you in accordance with Federal Regulation E. According to the majority of victims interviewed by Rip-off Report, those who immediately called their banks to dispute the charges did not get very far. Many victims got the following responses from their banks: we could not do anything for you or you waited too long; it has been more than 60 days. If the bank is says that you have waited too long, explain to them how you called their 800 number as soon as the charges were found, and were told by the bank that nothing could be done. Remind the bank that they failed to assist you properly at the 800 #, and instead, provided you with an inadequate explanation of your right to dispute. Tell the bank that it's their fault time has expired, and since they gave you the wrong info to begin with, they will just have to deal with it, take the loss and reverse the charges. Tell them the truth; this was unauthorized and your account was NOT to be charged! Keep emphasizing how you never authorized anything! Direct them to the hundreds of victims reports that were filed on Rip-off Report.com. And if you're at the bank, walk them over to their computer and make them go to this site! If you are on the phone with them, tell them you will wait while they access this site! Either way, be persistent! DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER! Let them know nicely, that you were advised to Report them (the Bank) and this situation to the Banking Commission in your state. Since each state has a different name for the agency/controller over banks, find that name before you call or get to the bank so you can throw it in their face. The more knowledgeable you appear to be, the further you will get. And just continue to demand the Federal Regulation E form! The bank CAN, MUST and WILL reverse the charge! But, you must be persistent; ask to speak to the supervisor or the area manager for all the branches in the state. Let the bank personnel know you are meeting with the media later in the day, that you would much rather they do the right thing (as most other banks have) by looking at the complaints and immediately reversing the charge(s) to your account; no matter how long ago it was. Be sure to call the Media if necessary so you are telling the truth. If you have to, be loud (but nice) in front of other customers. If you are just calling by phone, the above tactics should still work. The bank can easily fax or mail to you the Federal Regulation E dispute form.

Platinum Benefit Group ripoff Clearwater Florida
I received a call from Kevin Spoonaker from Platinum Benefit Group offering me a Platinum Mastercard. He persuaded me to sign up for the card. When he began to ask for my personal information, I became suspicious, and asked why they needed such things as my bank account number, and social security number. A lady nemed Penny came on and continued with the high pressure sales pitch. I tried to back out a few times, but together they convinced me to go on as they recordred my information. I began to record the call myself. My gut told me something was really wrong with this operation, but it was too late as I had already given sensitive information to them. I immediately called my bank after that. The line was busy so I went there in person and closed my account and set up a new one. I am glad that I did this. I got online today, and decided to check out the fishy PNG. I came across this site and read about how many people were douped by theses crooks. I have registered with the national don't call list, to help prevent dubious companies from entering my home through my phone. I am continuing to persue this with the Better Business Bureau and my Congressional Representatives. This should not be permitted to continue. Heather Pittsburgh, PennsylvaniaU.S.A.
