Reunion Beware! ripoff Nationwide Internet
Beware! Be very careful how much information you give in your profile for reunion.com. Do NOT give them your home address, phone number, # of children, etc. It is best to just avoid this website all together. They are very indiscriminate about selling their database to any company, website, etc. who pays their fee. Believe me, I know! Your name, address, phone #, birthdate, etc. will be everywhere on the web!! Thank goodness they don't ask for your ssn! AND --- once your name and other data are on their site, REUNION.COM WILL NOT REMOVE IT NO MATTER WHAT!! For three months now I have requested multiple times to have my profile and account removed from their database. They say it takes 10 business days to process the removal request. Not true! After more than 10 business days, each time, I am still out there. I edited my profile as much as I could to the bare minimum. I totally regret ever signing up with them. Obviously, from other reports on this website, don't pay to join! Cathy Columbus, OhioU.S.A.

They stated that the three dollars will not be refunded which I was fine with that. I checked with my bank acct and they took $72.00 off my card, I called them and asked why they took $72.00 dollars off my acct. They told me that was for two months membership(when they stated that you wont be billed until a month latter) and that they could only give me back but only one of the months membership. They was very rude asked to be transfered to the manager and was transfered to a voice mail that never responeded so i have to go dispute charges at bank which i dont know what the out come will be and now have check bouceing all over florida. Reunion false advertising scam no refunds ripoff Internet
My wife was a free member for years and kept getting E-mails that someone else was looking for her. I signed her up for three years for $72, depending on the 'three day free trial' as a guarantee of satisfaction. Within minutes, I had discovered that all the people searching for her were completely unknown to her, and NONE were from her school. I looked further and found that only a handful of her over 500 graduating class were there, and they were all in the 'free membership'. There were no school conversations, no reunions planned. We both agreed there was nothing of use here, so I tried to cancel her membership. I was given a phone number to do that. They said sure, they would cancel the membership, but NO REFUNDS. I asked about the three day free membership, and she siad NO REFUNDS. When I pressed, she offered to change the three year membership to a one year membership, and only charge us $36 bucks. I declined, telling her I would pursue this with my credit card company. I called MC and explained, they removed my authorization for the charge, and told me to protest it when it was posted to my account. I called Reunion.com again and started to explain to them how a charge back damages their company reputation, and they would be better to just cancel the charge, and she said I know how it works! I told her to be sure and cancel my account, she said she had. steer clear of this rip-off outfit!! Terry Erin, TennesseeU.S.A.

MYLIFE - REUNION-SEARCH Unauthorized collection of fees Internet
I was charged monthly of subscription fee...They prompt me to avail of their promo rate for a trial subscription which is to expire in 72 hours. The catch is, the client/customer must disable/discontinue the said trial subscription prior the end of the trial period or it will automatically renew...Is this a fair deal??? They should have send a notice to the client to that effect...i understand, upon doing further reading on the terms and conditions(after receiving my credit card statement of accounts),although it is stated as such, a further notice to the client should have been done...This people should understand that people are too busy to read on such details or they were actually banking on such behavior to make a rip-off... The credit card companies must countercheck with the account owner on the validity of the charges which were automatically charge to the clients' account...

Reunion Billing ripoff Internet *EDitor's Suggestions on how to get your money back into your bank account!
I, too got billed for more than I thought - plus wasn't happy with the service - and I sent several emails requesting a refund. Then it dawned on me that since I paid thru PayPal (one of Reunion.com's options), I could get PayPal to reverse the charge. Lo and behold, at least a couple of weeks after PayPal reversed the charge I got an email from Reunion.com saying that my refund had been handled. NO SH!T. Had I not gone thru PayPal I'd STILL be waiting to hear from those idiots! Connie Santa Maria, CaliforniaU.S.A. EDitor's Suggestions on how to get your money back! HERE IS WHAT RIP-OFF REPORT SUGGESTS YOU DO: Go to your bank within 60 days of the charge, or as soon as you know about the charge, don't delay, and tell them that there has been fraudulent activity within your account. Explain that you wish to file a dispute, and demand that they assist you in accordance with Federal Regulation E. According to the majority of victims interviewed by Rip-off Report, those who immediately called their banks to dispute the charges did not get very far. Many victims got the following responses from their banks: we could not do anything for you or you waited too long; it has been more than 60 days. If the bank is says that you have waited too long, explain to them how you called their 800 number as soon as the charges were found, and were told by the bank that nothing could be done. Remind the bank that they failed to assist you properly at the 800 #, and instead, provided you with an inadequate explanation of your right to dispute. Tell the bank that it's their fault time has expired, and since they gave you the wrong info to begin with, they will just have to deal with it, take the loss and reverse the charges. Tell them the truth; this was unauthorized and your account was NOT to be charged! Keep emphasizing how you never authorized anything! Direct them to the hundreds of victims reports that were filed on Rip-off Report.com. And if you're at the bank, walk them over to their computer and make them go to this site! If you are on the phone with them, tell them you will wait while they access this site! Either way, be persistent! DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER! Let them know nicely, that you were advised to Report them (the Bank) and this situation to the Banking Commission in your state. Since each state has a different name for the agency/controller over banks, find that name before you call or get to the bank so you can throw it in their face. The more knowledgeable you appear to be, the further you will get. And just continue to demand the Federal Regulation E form! The bank CAN, MUST and WILL reverse the charge! But, you must be persistent; ask to speak to the supervisor or the area manager for all the branches in the state. Let the bank personnel know you are meeting with the media later in the day, that you would much rather they do the right thing (as most other banks have) by looking at the complaints and immediately reversing the charge(s) to your account; no matter how long ago it was. Be sure to call the Media if necessary so you are telling the truth. If you have to, be loud (but nice) in front of other customers. If you are just calling by phone, the above tactics should still work. The bank can easily fax or mail to you the Federal Regulation E dispute form. CHARGES TO YOUR CREDIT CARD If the charge was to your credit card (not debit card, check card, or checking account), contact the credit card company as soon as possible to request a dispute form. Consumers usually have a little longer to dispute fraudulent credit card charges (up to 6 months), but it is better to act right away. In this type of situation, credit card disputes are usually successful since fraudulent companies often won't contest the disputed charge. In rare cases, credit card companies will review disputes, but refuse to reverse the charges. If this occurs, complain to a manager and let them know you will be filing a report here. Remember Don't let them get away with it! Make sure they make the Rip-off Report .. The more Reports filed on a Company or individual, the more likely it is that the authorities, media and attorneys will want to take action. And good luck Let us know how you do! My Life / Reunion Search Charged $60 after canceled service, Internet
I got up this morning to notice a $60 fee from My Life reunion.  This was cancelled in June of last year after they charged me $60.  Apparently this is a practice that this company does to make sure money is constantly coming in.  I was told when I called and cancelled that I would not receive any refund since that is their police.  I told the individual that this BETTER be cancelled or there would be hell to pay.  Apparently no one does their job because it was not cancelled.   PLEASE for your own pocketbooks do not sign up for this service because they do not cancel you when they are told to do so.
