Thank you again my butler, but also thank you rip-off report. Yet again the two of you have saved me money and embarassement. This clearinghouse letter came in today, and I almost bought this one. I mean a tv set for under 40 dollars. That's better than a pawn shop. But what really entices the recipient of this letter, is the convienent account options. There so nice, that they would let you split your payment if half and make 2 payments of 18.98 instead of the full 37.96. How considerate. And of course you would recieve the set after they had recieved the full payment. These people are truly evil. James corinth, MississippiU.S.A.

Ripoff- Sweepstakes winner wanting $37.96 to ship a TV and you don't know if it is a 6 inch TV or if it is a 36inch. So I checked on here and I found this. So thanks to all of you that have entered a fraud. I was ripped off once before and never thought to just search the web to find out about Russian women. So when you make a screw up like that! You learn the first time, and make it the last time! Dustin Kidder, MissouriU.S.A.

I have just received a mailing titled Official Prize Award Directive. It further stated that I had BEEN AWARDED A CONSOLATION PRIZE. This seemed strange, as I had no knowledge of entering a sweepstakes. I received 6 $400.00 vochers that I could then redeem for merchandise. On the back of the voucher it clearly states, in very fine print, that this is not a contest or sweepstakes. Being in the legal field for several years, I am a skeptic of everything, anything and anybody. And I find my skepticism well based in this instance. The merchandise being offered is extemely out of date and of questionable origin. Prehaps grey market merchandise that they are trying to unload on the unsuspecting public. They offered two (2) different computers, a desktop or laptop, operating at 400 MHz with Windows 95 and 300 MHz with Windows 98, respectively. These are junk computers that you couldn't get $50 for at a swap meet. Given the reprehensible manner in which this company chooses to market its' highly suspect and questionable merchandise and given that there is no way provided to contact the company, other than by a P O Box, I would advise staying far away from this ripoff. If you decide to do business with this company, remember CAVEAT EMPTUS, BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! Mark Farmington, MissouriU.S.A.

Today i received an envelope containing $2,400.00 worth of vouchers stating i have been awarded a consolation prize!! The only catch is i have to use the vouchers toward several different products in a catalog that was mailed with the vouchers. I can't beleive these people have the nerve to send me garbage like this. The products are not even worth the prices they are asking. Man i can go to Walmart and buy practically the same thing for alot less money. People be aware of these scam artist... because this is like the 6th one i have received from different companies!!! I wish i just had a portion of what they claim i have won in the last 30 days. I'd be multiple milloinaire by now!!!! David Corrigan, TexasU.S.A.

This rip-off company sent me six vouchers for $400.00 each which could only be used for the purchase of the six items they offered. When I checked the retail price of each of these items the retail price had been inflated by over $200.00 each. This was the consolation prize I was awarded. Looks to me like the only one who would be consoled by my taking advantage of my prize is Sweepstakes Clearinghouse. Needless to say, I threw my vouchers in the trash can, where they belong. My wife received a notice that we would receive a television set if we send 37.96 to cover shipping. No other info. was supplied. We have till 10/08/06 to send money. I looked up the company on the internet and seen your report on it that it was a 5inch black and white tv. So I'm filing this report and I dont think they should be allowed to mislead people. I received (2) 400.00 vouchers in the mail. I ordered a Kicken island with stainless steel countertop. I Paid the remaining balance of 189.95 with a check and sent in the mail. I waited for a fews weeks, but had forgotten about it until I checked the bank statement. I realized there was no phone number to reach them about the delivery of my merchandise, or any mention of shipping or how long it would take. I Then thought about searching on the internet. I have gotten a sterero from them in the past with no problem, so I assumed that this would be no problem. I am willing to do what it takes to get my money or merchandise, as I was looking forward to getting this item for storage and style. very upset and dissappointed. Denise Everett, MassachusettsU.S.A.

I ordered the TV for $37.96 and now have discovered that it will in fact be a 5 B&W TV. Their correspondence was misleading and I intend to report this organization to the Georgia Adjutant Generals office as soon as I receive the TV. They also sent me a mailout for a OMNI-2 digital camera. I have searched the web and am unable to determine that such a model exists currently. WATCH OUT. They offer this for $27.38, so it must really be nothing. Gary Statesboro, GeorgiaU.S.A.

Same thing happened to me, pretty much. I ordered something from them, and it came with a COD. Since I needed the item, I paid it, but they never said anything about extra payment outside of what we had to pay for the item. Does anyone know of any action being taken against this company? I also just received a voucher for $400.00 from the Sweepstakes Clearinghouse. At first I was eager to send in the voucher and use the lay-away option because I am in college and moving into a new apartment. But something struck me as odd because there was no phone number for the company on the certificate or email address. Another thing that caught my attention was that there was no mention of shipping and handling charges. So I went online and put in Sweepstakes Clearinghouse hoping to get to a website that would have a phone number so that I could call and ask questions. Instead, I found this website and I'm glad I did. This site saved me from the stress and anger that so many others had to endure. I'm glad for this site. Needless to say, I ripped up that voucher. I recieved a letter stating that I had won a credit voucher for $400 off one of 5 items. I did some research and found that the RCA home surround sound system they wanted to sell me for $579.95 minus the $400.00 credit voucher (that comes to $179.99) has a msrp of only $149.99. The cabinet that they send with it cannot be worth $430.00. This is obviously only a way to for them to sucker in people. Jason slatington, PennsylvaniaU.S.A.

I was sent a check for 300 dollars for a camcorder. I had mailed in two checks for 10.00 each. Then I recieved another notice to pay 37.50 for a complete home stereo system and then I decided to look up this notice to get some information about this product that's when I pulled up this fraud notice. My balance is 179.00 from a $400.79 balance. What shall I do to get my money back Diana glendale, ArizonaU.S.A.

I have been a customer with this company for several years. I have purchase several items from them. A lot of times the items are not what the photo presented. However my last purchase(which will be my last), I ordered (1)Drum Set Account #21984152 for 168.00 from this company on layaway. I was sent a much higher bill in my billing cycle. The amount rose from $168.00 to over $200.00. I called the company to find out why the invoice was so high. I was told by the receptionist that They added on my State taxes and shipping cost to the balance. I further told her that at the time of purchase it did not mentioned any State taxes of shipping charges any where on the dicount coupons or the form that you fill out. I told her that iI wanted my money back because I paid $50.00 down. She told me that I would lose my money. Every month thereafter they would charge me extra money against the total. I began paying the balance of electronically to keep a track of my payments.( see below) SWEEPSTAKES CLEARINGHOUSE Account Number: ######52 1555 REGAL ROW PO BOX 569600 DALLAS, TX 753569600 Payee Phone Number: 1-214-915-7100 Payment Date Payment Amount Payment Account Payment Status Reference # Action 06/15/2004 $50.00 #### CHECKING Pending VBZB6927 04/20/2004 $50.00 #### CHECKING Paid TB2B29U4 Inquiry 03/15/2004 $50.00 #### CHECKING Paid 6BCBR982 Inquiry 02/13/2004 $50.00 #### CHECKING Paid 5B9BF9U9 Inquiry 01/15/2004 $50.00 #### CHECKING Paid 7BZBL9N9 Inquiry 2001 - 2004 Wells Fargo. I received a four hundred dollar voucher to be applied to one out of five items on their list and I chose the Ultralite 5 piece expandable luggage for a balance of $79.99. Made the check out and waited for over six weeks. Noticed that I hadn't received it so pulled out my copy of the check and their information to call them. Guess what no number. About a year ago, I recieved notice in the mail that I had won a prize (mystery gift)I was to send $5.00 to cover shipping fees, after payment had been made, my mystery gift never arrived, I just wrote it off as a bad experience. Today, I recieved yet another yellow Notice slip, saying I had won a Television Set, I am to send $47.96 or 2 payments of $23.98 instead, for shipping/handling fees. After looking my notice over carefully for a telephone number to contact them on the size and make of my winnings, there was no number, not even a web address for them. I decided to look the Sweepstakes Clearinghouse up on the computer, and boy am I glade I did so, or I once again would have been ripped off by such non-sense. I just want to say, Thank You for this site, I just hope more people check this site out before they send any money, you all just saved me $47.96. Todd Manitowoc, WisconsinU.S.A.

I received an envelope containing vouchers for $310.00 off anything in the mailing. There was a countertop dishwasher that was listed at $369.95. I thought that it was a cool idea for just me and my son. I filled out the order form and the total was going to be 59.95. I gave them my visa information allowing them to charge my visa for what I thought the total was going to be $59.95. When it showed up on my visa that they charged me $200.94 I was astonished. I called them right away. They told me that the item was not supposed to have a $310.00 voucher it was only $210.00 sent out with that item. Well the ones I got were $310.00 and thats what I mailed to them with my order form. The difference of $40 something was for shipping that I was not aware of from the way they worded it in their mailing. It was in tiny print of course at the bottom I did finally find it after arguing with who they told me was the supervisor that I asked to speak with when I was getting nowhere with the first person I talked to. I told them that I did not want this half size dishwasher when I could buy a full size one for the same price. I was informed that I would be reimbursed as soon as they received the item back, that it had already been shipped. I was supposed to refuse delivery. I have still not gotten the dishwasher to send it back to them. That was over a week ago and I am still waiting. I am going to call them again today to try to find out what is going on but I'm sure its going to be just a waste of my time. I feel that they are ripping off people everyday and they need to be stopped. Tammie Hudson, FloridaU.S.A.

I got these $400 credit vouchers and applied one of them to buy a $480 worth luggage set. I paid the remaining $80 with a money order. When the 5-pc luggage set arrived, Iwas asked to pay 50 bucks for CPO or God knows what and how how would 5 bags of luggage fit in one medium- sized box? I feel so stupid Janna Lacey, WashingtonU.S.A.
