Vivint Vivint thieves unethical liars Provo Utah
Vivint are liars and thieves.  They came to install a security system.  They couldn't get it to work.  They came back 2 more times, each time telling me it was a quick fix.  They were here over 2 hours and couldn't get it to work.   They are charging me a monthly fee and the system doesn't work.  They won't let me cancel the contract even though they told me I had 30 days after the system worked to decide.  It's still not working and I can't cancel the contract.

vivint Vivint sales person lied.
Sales person by the name of Josh. Came to my address . Josh said he was athurorized by the HOA President to sell home  security system. He did not have a letter but he did say her name. With that i listen to his sale pitch. It was  as  usuall it was a full court press. I was in a hurry. I was told to sign because I was told it was a trail period. I was told I had thirty day to cancel. The system malfunction in less than a week. I decide to cancel the service. I tired calling Josh. Voice mail was unavailable. Called customer service. Was told they would get in touch with Joshu to get what kind of cancellation I was sold. No one called me back. I called and  sent several emails to cancel and pick up there equipment . No respponse from Vivint. i fell like I was lied to several ways. I felt like Vivint lied to me to get in a five year contract. I am pissed on low they went to trap me . I am ready to go to court. Please help me.

Vivint  Vivint Scam to lock you into contract! Provo, Utah
I had Damon Demarcus a sales rep. come to my door to sell me the alarm service on 08/16/2011 at 12:28pm. He had it sound great and due to me owning a child care I thought it would be a great thing to have. He stated that Andy would come back and install the system and that it would be a one year contract for the service and that if there was any problems to call him and Andy and they would get on it and not to call corerate. Andy showed up at 11:48pm to install the service.. I turned him away this was a hudge inconvenence and we were already in bed and asleep! Andy came the next day to install arounf 10:00 am, however I had the kids outside and found him installing the wrong door hardwear .. He was installing the deadbolts which are illegal for the daycare and they were well aware before the purchase and discussed during the agreement. Andy said that he has to install something and that he would come back the following day and change then because they were out of them. The next day came and went I called 5 times left messages. And worse the system didn't work the lock code was not wrking on the door and would arm and lock randomly locking us out or children in the house on many occasion. and setting the system off to the point that someone would call on the intercom system and I informed them that it was not working and some one needs to come and fix it! I had to climb in though the window to get my kids out of the house and go and get keys to stash outside so we could get in. So what good is a security system if you have to hide keys outside? I called numerous times and no return calls. I have the witnesses of all my parents as to what happened and what was even said and promised during the presentation of the contract! Matters got even worse, the first week of October was below 0 temps and this was the first time we turned on the heat ( their thermostat) and the furnace wouldn't work it just blew cold air I called and they say it would be 2 weeks before someone could come and fix it not 24 hours as promised buring the install. I had to go buy heaters.. and finally on the second day I had a local service company come and fix it. I called vivint over and over again for some one to come and help. and during that time the fire marshal and daycare licencer came and were upset and wanted the deadbolts removed from the door because they were a fire hazard. I explained that vivint refused to take them off and that they were suppost to come and install the proper ones... and it was never done.On October 31 jay came and to fix the problem I told him that the furnace was working and not to touch the system.. well he did! and said that there was some problems and that he had them fixed.( keeping me from activities with my son. well when we came home we had no heat again!I called vivint again and said that the tec messed with the sysem that was working for the furnace and not its not working again.. he stated that it would be two weeks again I said that was unacceptible. AI called powder river heating again and they came out again.. I verified with vivint and the worker to rip the therostat out and put a new on in. powder river heating went though the whole system and verified that there was no problem with the furnace and vivint pd both bills to powder river heating and the door locks were removed per a lawsuit from the state. No I have tryed to get my bill adjust due to I paying for equipment that wasnt installed anymore and they keep pressing to come and reinstall it I told them no. I am finding now that I was suppost to have a 12 pk of light bulbs and 1 more smoke detector, window and door sencors, which were never installedand now they are saying that I have a three year contract! and I was told it was one. this system is a scam they get in your door promise and never follow though! I have made so many calls between my husband and I and never a returned call! I have names and dates if everyone I have spoken with and accually the contract is null and void due to the fact the system was never installed properly and vivnt will not accept that.... Please help us!Thank you!

Company sold us an alarm system with a 2year contract  back when they were apx alarm system. We had a good first 2 years the company, was great to work with wonderful partnering.  However than they changed thier name to Vivint and that seemed to be when the trouble started even though they told me there would be no change in staff and or policy.We fell on hard times and tried to get them to discontinue our service which was going into the third year about 2years 6months this is one of those things they dont tell you when your 2 years of contract is over if you dont send them confirmation that you want to suspend or cancel service they auto renew contract another year and you CAN'T get out of it unless you are willing to pay for the remainder of you service that they extended i even asked the installer this and he told me they go month to month after your contract was over. so we ended up with a bill that was adding up for like 5 months even thou they cut my monitoring service off they continued to bill me they were getting something for nothing, I.E. my money but no service.the only thing i got out of it was thier redicuously overpriced alarm system that can not be used anywhere else becuase they are exclusive to this equipment. I tried to work out payment arrangements by asking them to suspend my services temp. so i could get my head back above water they said the only way i could do that was to cancel my service and never be allowed to come back as a vivint customer ever again so now i have this 1500$ paperweight mounted to my wall that tells me when my front and back doors are open Please if you are considering an alarm system save yourself the heart ache and go with someone more professional who has been around not these clowns dont end up like me writing a Ripoff Report

We made the mistake of signing a contract back in april 2008.  We were told it was for 24 months turns out it was for 36months (should have read contract as conman/salesman was explaining terms).  False alarm if TV is too loud if dog barks in living room  wall mounted keypad in bedroom has never worked.  If I want it too work there is a charge to come out and fix,  apparently install was free if we would adertise for them but if you want it to work thats extra.  We called in after 2 years in 2010 only to learn we had been signed up for 3 years.  We called in april 2011 only to learn our contract is up in june of 2011.  They would not cancel it until a request is made 30 days prior to contract end.  So we called back in june and were told the contract was up in April so they went ahead and signed us up for another 12 months as a COURTESY to us for a service weve been trying to get out of for 2 years.  So now Ive got to count down till March 27 2012 exactly to cancel service 30 days before my contract expires not 29 or 31 it has to be 30 days notice to cancel.  I was not told I had to send a request in writing but doing research Ive discovered that a letter is required along with a call or else I will be screwed into another year.   They advised me that if I could refer somebody to signup for service and agree to take over my contract they would let me out of my contract.  I was transfered 3 times, the worse customer service Ive ever had nobody would give me a name except the last thief on the phone said his name was Ryan and then later said Brian when I asked him which name it is he laughed and spelled Ryan his employee number is 3389.

VIVINT  Fraud Company: VIVINT Calgary, Alberta 
 My name is Hu Meng, a new immigrant. Id like to report a scam I experienced recently. On July 1, 2012, Sunday, when I was studying in my home, a salesman knocked my door, and I opened the door for him. He told me that he was selling Home Security Alarm System for his company called Vivint to this community, and he had got 9 signatures on the document from 9 customers, who agreed to use this service, and he was looking for the 10th customer, if it were me, I will enjoy 10-day free trial period to use it. At first, I was not interested in it, saying that I and my family are new comers to Canada living in an apartment for rent. Then he said, if I use his Home Security Alarm System, my insurance company will reduce the premium, and I can save money. He also said, within ten days of trial period I could cancel the service free of charge without any excuse. I was persuaded by him, and agree to use it temporarily for ten days. Then he showed me the SCHEDULE OF EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES of Vivint. On the form, he remarked all of the items are for free, and I just need to submit to him my void cheque for the trial use application procedure. I told him I would like to consider it today, and if I decided to use it, tomorrow I would give him the cheque. But he told me its for free, I can ask his company to cancel the service without any excuse within 10 days, no charge on me. Therefore, I gave it up, signed it and he got my void cheque. After that, he called his partner to come and installed the equipment in my home.On July 9, 2012, I decide to cancel the service, and I sent a fax to his company , no response. On July 10, surprisingly, no sooner as I logged in my account atTD Banks Web site than I found that his company had deducted $151.49 from my account! I immediately called the company (phone: 800.216.5232), and a clerk recognized that it was the 9th day from the date of installation, and I had right to cancel it and the money could be refunded. Later on, no any corresponding action done by the company, no email, no telephone call, nothing. Next day, I sent a fax to it again, also I called the company to dispatch its technician to remove the equipment and make refunding for me. The clerk gave me to another department (he called it as Cancellation Department, the telephone is : 800.216.5232 ext. 5022), but I never got access to it. Up to now, I found no further action was made by this company. It just ignores me. The guy who persuaded me to install it didnt leave his telephone number to me.  Upon request, my TD Bank reversed the money back to my account in July 2012. However, the scam company VIVINT charged me again by $52 Canadian dollars at the end of July.  Now, the TD Bank could do nothing to reverse the money. Now, I need this company to refund me the wrongly deducted money and remove its equipment off my apartment, because it doesnt honor its policy, ignores my requests by means of faxes, phone calls, emails... This is our Third problem with this company. First it was a malfunctioning thermostat. Second was a security camera that did not work for months. NOW the carbon monoxide detector keeps going off and all the company would do was mail a replacement---it has been over 10 days and still no replacement. We get messages on our phone and the alarm panel saying device is not working. We contacted Vivint and all they did was disable the device so the alarm would not go off. We had to go buy a device just to keep our family safe. This company only cares about making money, your family's safety is not their concern. I wish them the same they have provided me---NOTHING but a continuous bill!!!!

approved deposit for system to be installed from vivint sept 10th 2011 from a salesman named Ryan and one other salesman I think named mat. It was to have 7 points /elements to it which were discussed at the time of purchase. After our agreed elements of the alarm the company wanted a $66 deposit so they could start the system and once system was in place and approved by me by signed contract, the remainder of charges would be added. Several calls came in from vivint to verify the purchase/elements. The following week a technician came out to install the system for vivint. He knew nothing about the 7 points that had been sold to me by the vivint sales rep. He proceeded to install his variation of an alarm system. I happened to call my wife to see if they made it out and found out that the system I had originally agreed upon was not being installed so I asked the technician to stop what he was doing until I got back in touch with ryan, the salesman. I got in touch with ryan and he said that what he had input into the computer did not stay in and so all that stayed in the input was my home location and alarm install.By this time my wife had discussed the install with the technician and the technician sold her on only the basic as I have hurricane/ theft shutters on every window and door of my home and he told her it would be a waste to add the other features. I called Vivint and told them I would proceed with the basic install and I was told my install would be the following Monday morning at 10:00 and we would sign contract on the service at that time if all worked well. My wife waited at the house for the vivint installer who never showed. Vivint did not call to change the appointment and did not call back at all. When I tried Vivint on the phone I was always put on hold and stuck listening to recordings. Finally vivint called back 2 weeks later to ask how I liked my new system. I told them they never came to hook it up and that I needed them to come and get it as I would not do business with a company that is unreliable and undependable. I had already had that experience with ADT and disconnected from them due to their incompetence. Somewhere around the last of September I got a call from vivint to check on their service again and I gave them an ear full. I told them I needed the activation charges and equipment charges taken off of my credit card. They assured me it would be handled. 10-6 -11 I was checking my credit card statement online and found that another charge from vivint had been added to my charge card. I called vivint once again and was put on hold for another 5 minutes. When they came back on the line they said that all their reps were too busy at the current time so I asked to speak to a manager. They put me on hold again and I waited another 5 minutes before I finally hung up. I work and am not allowed to walk around on the phone all day unless it is project related. I called USAA and asked that the charges be removed from my account. 2 charges were put on dispute and the oct 5th charge for 125$ was not because it was still pending. I was told that once it was charged , to come back and dispute it. Update 10/24/11 I went back and disputed the $125 charge. I got my mail when I got home and had a letter from USAA in it that said they needed this information in by the 27th. You will have to extend your date as I only received the letter today (10/24/11). I will be putting it in the mail on the 26th. On one more note, I have had this USAA credit card for at least 10 yrs. I have only disputed claims that were scams or not what I was told I was purchasing. I would advise you to build a profile of your customers so you dont end up wasting time investigating when I have supplied you with all the required information. To recap, Vivint called me and sold me a alarm system and then installed one I didnt buy while disconnecting the one I had and removing it. The technician sold my wife on another basic model that they were to finish installing on the following Monday and sign contract. They never showed up to finish the install and sign the contract.Since then Vivint has added several charges to my credit card with the latest as of 11/11/11 being for $368.00. I do not recommend anyone using their service that does not want to be scammed and harassed on their credit card.

My mother signed up for a 36 month contract with Vivint (formerly APX), the month the contract was over I called to cancel and was told that since she did not send written notice 30 days prior to contract end she must renew for an entire year - NO EXCEPTIONS. I have reported the company to the BBB, FTC, and the Utah Attorney General. I have read multiple reviews that this has happened to others as well - I feel it is entraptment and am requesting this company's business practices be reviewed by the Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney General. If Utah's Attorney General will not investigate I will ask my states Attorney Gerneral to investigate. If you have had similar negative experiences with this company you feel are illegal, immoral, bad business practice, etc.. and you have no luck getting resolution from the company - you may want to contact these agencies as well. The more people that complain - the more this company might rethink their business practices. You can fill out forms online for the BBB, FTC and Utah Attorney General. I am waiting on a call from the Attorney General this week and will update my responses from him. Please respond to this comment if you have any questions.

A representative from this company showed up at my 83 yr old father's house telling him they noticed he had the old sign from ADT displayed in his yard and that his company had bought out ADT.  They came in  and rewired his house, had him sign a new contract because it was a new name for company and displayed a new sign.  We investigated this within 24 hours and discovered that ADT had not gone out of business.  Fortunately, ADT agreed to come out and put their equipment back in at no charge.  I feel this company is taking advantage of elderly people. My dad is a very sharp 83 yr old and I feel if they were able to take advantage of him, they are taking advantage of a lot of other people who are usually capable of making cautious decisions. This company needs to be stopped.

On Nov. 19th 2011 Vivint had installed a alarm system in my home & they have over charged my credit card over $800.00 I have called and left voice mails with the COE/owner of the company. The staffing is nice when you call them through there customer service number but you will never get anywhere with them. A very shadding company that should have their license pulled. still to this day (1-24-12) no for call back or a refund on my credit card.

My mother was approached by these criminals in Aug of 2010. They just happened to be in the neighborhood. She had not agreed to anything when the salesman called his installer and had him start the work on the house. She finally got them to stop and called me for advise. My brother and I both spoke to the salesman the next day and he swore up and down that it was only a 1 year contract and that she could get out of it within that time. Based on the lies from the rip-off artist we agreed to the 1 year contract. After asking him 6 or 7 times about the lenght of contract and that she would be able to get out of it. She is on social security and money is tight. Now a year and couple months later we are still fighting them to  come get their equipment out of her house and we had to close her checking account to stop them from stealing more of her money. There has to be some way to stop these crooks.

Vivint APX Alarm Buyer Beware Provo, Utah 
I signed up for home security service with apx now vivint alarm, I was told it was a 2 year deal I was also told that they were working on a new garage door monitor and when they had it they would install it as part of my contract, a year and a half latter they still say they are working on the monitor and the salesman Brian didn't write it down so when it comes out they would love to sell it to me and I would have to pay to have it installed. When I told them I wanted to cancle my service because I had been lied to they told me that my contract was for 4 years and I would have to pay $1200.00 to cancel. Make sure they write everything down and read it close or better yet use (((competitor's name redacted))) or (((redacted))) they are # 1 and 2 in customer satifaction. sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company, ..plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome. end of may 2011 i bought the system out right on the contract $1499.00 with two door locks 10 day cancel clause with no 36-39 month lock in contractinstaller drilled into casing and messed up my out side temp gauge bit twisted and tore up mercury copper tubingwent with directions  doors locks do not arm and disarm alarm system as toldcalled day 2 for service promised a call back on a certain date never happened to fix problemcall in to cancel service day 4  after 3 days and they hounded/harrasesd me to remove system they got the system back on day 8i called vivint and told them the uninstaller forgot a motion sensor and a key less lock and the unistaller tells me my inventory checks out i never forgot any thing ok fine being honestupon removal the service tech split the wood on door left all these huge holes no plugs or caps, he wanted plug the holes in the walls with white chaulk on star dust blue wallsnow home damage gets involved three weeks worth of bull, pass the buck and smoke up my ying yang they get handy men to come and do a estimates and they back out cause vivint is in provo ut. and i am in saskatoon sk. they are worried about payment.so i finely vivint convinced me to get a material only estamite  i fax it to vivint promising ups saturday del from a thursay shipping date 5 days later on tuesday night i get a pakage with a material cheque only at 7:30pm. vivint finaly gets a handy man i got a cheque posted with toronto dominion bank of canada and toronto dominion wont cash it cause i don't have a account, and my bank will freeze it for 14 days the handy man is coming in the morning im not paying him or for the materialand it gets betteron the 4th week they steal $1703.58cdn opps some one forgot to close the account $1499.00 + two months service + $99.00 activation plus tax. vivint wants to send a cheque or put it on a master card or visa i asked to put it back the same way they took it, or wire me back my cash. vivint promises me it will be posted on my master card same day. i ask for a fax conformation and get it.i call master card next day nothing there.ive asked vivint for a for service contact to take them to small claims and am told it's private information when i fact it is not, just like there business licensevivint brags about the award customer service i even pointed out this site, there answer is in august we will have 1 million customers and they tell me my case is isolated i looked at this site to late. i should of listened to the wife they are no better than adti have spent a lot of man hours, gas, air timei am posting this as a warning to others july 02 2011 still have damaged doors, door casings, walls and still out $1703.78cdn this is a super condensed version

Vivint Alarms Apex Contract Review a MUST!!!! Internet
Their 36 months contract renews itself every year after the intital 36 month contraqct unles you cancel it prior to it self renewing!! I do not recal seeing this nor being told this. Usually contracts expire after their intial minimum coverage period. in this case 36 month. After this they are usually able to be terminated at the descretion of the home owner. This is NOT the case with Vivint. I was explained the cancellation process last Friday. Here is how they explained it. First you must fax them a signed letter stating your requesting to cancel services PRIOR to the renewal period. The you continue to pay the $49.99 a month unitl the 36 month original contract is up OR the renewed 12 months contract which most people dont know about. Then you must call back to customer service 6 days priro to the cancellation date to re-verify that the letter you sent in requesting cancellation is still valid and you want the service cancelled still. Bascially this is where you hear, again, a sales picth of reducing your payment by $5 a month and they'll do this and that for you to keep you as a customer. Oh yeah, they wanted me to sign up for a 42 month contract if I chose to take a reduced temporary rate of $5 too. ha ha. IF you dont call 6 days prior to the requested cancellation date then your contract will renewal as scheduled again for 12 months. If you call after the renewal date it is at Vivints descretion if they allow you out of the renewed 12 month contract or not... The whole process was just crazy and I can't beleieve I did not inform myself more on how this company operates!!!

Salesman told me that the contract was for 2 years.  His name is Jeff Johnson.  His phone number is 714-955-9764.  After 2 years was up, I tried to cancel the service and was told the contract was for 3.5 years.  What company does that.  That is an exhorbitant amount of time for a contract committment.  I still have my paper work and it does state that, but Mr. Johnson, stated to my daughter and me that the term was two (2) years!!!!!  Not ethical at all.  Now I'm stuck with a service that frankly in today's economy, I cannot afford.   Thanks VIVINT via Jeff Johnson, for making my life extremely financially stressful!  Jeff was YOUR mouth piece VIVINT...  YOUR representative.  YOU chose poorly.  I hope it bites you in the butt!

Vivint door sales man who made up a story that my neighbors house got broken into. It worked being that we had just gotten home from the hospital with our new baby. He said we could cancel any time within 90 days which also was not true. Then he heard me talking about me selling my iPhone and he said he would drop the installation fee ($199) if I gave him my iPhone, which I was later charged for.I no longer live at the house and we are now renting an apartment and vivint said we could not cancel unless we pay off the remaining of our contract. As a business they have poor customer service, liers for sales men so they can make there commission.

Vivint is the worst!!! Do not go with them.  The so-called wireless system requires hard wiring!!! Don't let them tell you otherwise. My family has tried the system for a few months like they talked us into.  Now they refuse to remove the system and we are locked into a contract.  We are not able to use the system at all, it is dysfunctional  just like the company.  These people are shysters and unethical.  What a waste!  Vivint pressures you into an installation.  I should have known when they refused to come the next day for installation.  And then the installation took 7 hours!  We even felt obligated to feed the installer.  Do our foreheads say sucker or what?  They promise energy savings that never materialize, refuse to give what was agreed to - i.e. second key pad with same functionality, have caused multiple false alarms because the ceiling fans, draperies, street traffic, and yes even squirrels jumping on the deck set off the alarms.  We cannot cancel the alarm to the police because of the way the system is configured. They told me a permit was pulled as required by city code but I should have known this was a lie because it was crammed down our throats and installed on a Saturday.  My local PD does not need to be treated this way and neither do we.  We cannot deactivate the garage as promised, the thermostat will not work with a dual stage motor, the thermostat also resets and overrides our commands. When I asked for a thermostat manual I was told that it was so simple to use that one was not needed - WRONG!  The furnace technician I needed to hire to try and get the thermostat working told me that it is a piece of crap and should not be used.  Hence it proves out the situation that we do not command our own thermostat. When I complained this litany to Vivant they said it does not matter what the sales rep said we are locked into a contract with the service.  They then sent us a letter (as required by the Minnesota business regulators) stating that they have tried to contact us to correct the situation - when they have not so much as called as can be proven by our telephone logs.  Such phony business practices to get around a requirement for doing business in the State of Minnesota.  No wonder they changed their company name from APX - they could not operate under the old name because of their devious practices. Be assured, that every chance I get, I let people know how deficient and devious the company is and that under no circumstances should anyone become a customer. I hear there is a class action lawsuit pending in Minnesota, which I am joining. If you are interested in filing a formal complaint with the Minnesota DOC, the Minnesota attorney general's office, and the BBB the company license number is TS 01618. Hopefully local law enforcement agencies will ban the installations or at least require a permit, thus allowing them to refuse permits for all Vivint installations.

Trying to cancel your account.....according to Vivint you have to give your first born.  That is of course, only if you have one. Expecting older people to read and understand everything they read in one of those contracts?, Well, they certainly don't explain everything in detail but expect you to sign and then be responsible.      I've learned several things, you can't cancel, stop payment, talk to a person there without being threatened with small claims, or try to ask questions. Whatever you do, shop somewhere (anywhere) else... Frustrated beyond belief!

This is the worst company that I have ever dealt with.  Not only do they try to auto renew your account by claiming that they have never received notification that you cancelled, but they will continually harrass you and claim to be trying to help you.  I have now cancelled my account with them FOUR times in writing and they are still claiming that they have not received any of them.  I have re-faxed each of the letters with the confirmations that the faxes have gone through and they still call to tell me that they will not consider my account to be closed and will auto renew it until they have it in writing.  I have emailed, faxed, and called the company and still they will not accept my cancellation.  I have been harrassed for the last time by them and have closed my credit account that they have and am refusing payment.  DO NOT SIGN UP FOR AN ACCOUNT WITH THIS COMPANY!!

Within 30 days of installation we experienced major problems with Vivint. Extremely high electric bill for 1 month over 700.00 as a result of the continuous running thermostat and fan and failed batteries in the key pad lock causing a near lock-out of our home.  I have read several note here from others who were also given the same lie-that you may cancel within 30 days.  The company product and services are misrepresented by the sales associates they have out in the field floating from state to state. I would not recommend this company to ANYONE!!!!

My complaint with this company began when the technician came to install the new security system.I had talked to the cutomer service rep about thesystem I wanted, but the technician came in looked around my home and stated that the system I chose would not meet my needs and suggested add-ons. I agreed to three smoke detectors because I feel a smoke detector is the first line of defense against a full blown fire. Once the installion was completed I was not prepared to pay the additinal money. So he stated that he could break the paymentI for the extra equipment in three installments. The first being due that day along with the first month's monitoring fee of $53.00. The tech called into customer service to get a code to complete the paperwork and discuss paying for the add-ons. The rep was okay and verified that we would pay in three installments and asked me questions about the techician and the instalation.Two days later while going over my checking account online I discovered that this comoany had taken an additional $200.00 which was unauthorized. I called and the customer service rep stated I had agreed to pay the additional charges in full which I stated was not true and I wanted my money restored to ny account. Then he stated that after the $200.00 I still owed them $100.00.Needless to say I became very upset and said I don't owe you any money you owe me. I stated I would have the system uninstalled if they did not refund my money. The rep said I could expect a refund in 7 to 10 days which is unacceptable and I told them so.Two days later was was reviewing my account and to my surprise the took out another $100.00. To state that I was mad was and understatement and I called again. I called and told the rep on the phone that I ckuld not believe they had an award for top customer service because of the things I had been through since having my.system installed. I said that if I did not have my money refunded by Monday, Nov.5, 2012.I think the ripoff begins with the installation technician trying to sell you products other than those you agreed upon with the customer service rep whom you brought the system from. My bank account is not and atm for this company that is why I am writing.

Vivint Deceptive Contracts Provo Utah
This is the ripoff of them all.  I went to cancel my services today (July 11, 2016) because I am moving from Arkansas to Georgia and was told I couldn't cancel the rest of my contract.  I thought I signed up for a 2 year contract, but they are now saying it is for 4 years and that I would have to buyout the contract for the full amount of $1920.  DO NOT USE THEM, they are expensive and you can get better service from ADT.  They are deceptive and hold their customers hostage.  There buyout policy is outrageous, what company has a buyout policy in which you must pay the total of the entire monthly payments left on the contract.  AGAIN DO NOT BUY!!!  They will come to your door and push their alarm systems down your throat.  I swerve when I get rid of them, I will never use them again.  DO NOT USE THEM!!!!
