Relogulf LLC AKA Phil Davis, Neil Price, Kathy Ashbey Scamming expats since 2010... Dubai Dubai

 We contracted Relogulf to relocate our household goods from Abu dhabi to New York at the end of April 2013. the pre-contract home visit went well and they seemed professionals. Phil Davis conducted the visit himself. After signing the contract, his secretary called one evening to tell me that someone was en route to collect the money. I protested that accirong to the contract, i had until 5 days before the packing to pay (we were at 20 days out). A call to the other partner in crime (Neil Price) "clarified" that Kathy Ashbey had been a bot 'overzealous" - his words - in collecting money from clients. i squarey refused to [ay cash and paid later by bank transfer. that shoudk have been a red flag...The packing went well. the sub-contractor was very professional and the services were correct. Our household goods were packed into two trucks to be loaded into a 40' container bound to the US. Our repeated attempts to get the inventory failed - Kathy Ashbey always had an excuse but always reassured us that everything was fine and that we should receive the goods in about 8 weeks. We left the UAE as planned hoping to get the inventory by email. Nothing. Relogulf went radio silent, ignoring emails, phone calls. this morning, Kathy Ashbey did not even picked up the office phone. From what we read, we are not alone.

This is Relogulf modus operanti: they get your money up front - which unfortunately is the practice of all the relocating companies in the UAE so they are taking advantage of the system. Then they have your household goods packed by a sub-contractor and brought to their warehouse. Who knows when it leaves. some have had their shipment sit at the dock for months. In any case, soemtimes they end up shipping your goods but always fail to pay the shipper and agents who end up holding on to your goods to put pressure on Relogulf. During this time, you, the client, accumulate fees and warehousing charges and are stuck in the middle.

So here we are. Still no contact, we do not know where our household goods are. One thing is sure, we are gong to bring down everything we can within the UAE on these guys. Relogulf counts on the fact that they scam expats who relocate miles and miles away and have little chance to come back to the uaE to haunt them.
