ReloGulf movers Neil Price, Phil Davis Sold us lies, took our money then left us stranded Dubai 

ReloGulf came to visit us in January 2013 when we were plannig our move to Singapore.  I was heavily pregnant at the time, Phil Davis came to visit me and came across as competent and helpful.  They gave us a good price so we decided to go with them.

The movers came on move day and I was a bit concerned as we were promised crates for our expensive items such as TV, velvet chair and Persian Rug but the ment did not have anything but paper and bubble wrap.  I queried this on the day and was put on the phone to Rosa Menezes who said the items would be crated at the warehouse.

Move forward a month and I started chasing our shipment as ReloGulf had not been in touch and I was promised our goods within 6 weeks of arrival.  I struggled to get through to anyone or responses to any of my messages.  Finally I got through to Rosa who told me my items had set sail and gave me a date for their arrival.  We went ahead with signing a lease for a new apartment based on this date.  Then I asked for paperwork on the shipment and that is when alarm bells started ringing as they could not produce any evidence that our items were on a ship.

We threatened police action and finally spoke to Phil who said our items were on the way.  We did some investigating and found that our items were on a ship but had only been put on that ship a few days earlier, no a few weeks earlier as we had been told by Rosa.

As it got close to moving into our apartment I chased the shipment arrival with the movers at the Singapore end who were very elusive.  After yet more investigation it turned out that ReloGulf had put our items on a ship without having paid the freight company, the shippers or movers at Singapore end.  No one would release our goods until they had been paid.  WE ended up moving into an empty apartment with a tiny baby with no belongings and sleeping on blow up beds and borrowing baby items to keep us going.

We also found out the top of the range insurance we had taken out for our items was fiction and no insurance had been taken out on our tiems until after they had sailed.  It was not the policy we had asked for or paid for.

We managed to get our goods after sending some friends to their offices in Dubai who would not leave until ReloGulf gave us some money back so we could pay for our items to be delivered.  ReloGulf are in so much financial trouble that they seem to be using the money from new sales to pay for the old items that they have not shipped.

We asked for compensation for the phone calls, the wrong insurance being taken out, the additional cost of hotels, and the stress but of course they said no.  Then they had the cheek to ask us to remove the complaint we had made with the DED.

It was the most awful experience of my life - how a person (Phil Davis) could meet me heavily pregnant and about to move country and undergo all that stress and knowingly sell me lies and send me off to Singapore without any of my precious things.

These people should be put in jail for what they are doing but sadly no one in the Dubai authorities seems to care. ReloUK has the same Directors as ReloGulf so sadly they are not going to be much help either.
