I signed a six month lease with Carla Morgan and Remax Gold. The house was very dirty when we moved in. Broken glass all over living room carpet, yards not mowed for months. When I left the house, It was clean and the grass mowed.
Carla did a walk through with and both parties were in accord as to the deposit would cover the last months rent  with $400.00 left over for her claiming the carpet was a little dirty.  I agreed and accepted the fact that $400.00 would more than cover a carpet cleaning.  I did not think to leave a forward address just as I never had with any property manager because there is no reason once you physically hand them the key after their final walk through.  She was planning to not only keep the deposit in its entirety  but also raise claims regarding the condition of the house and late fees for not responding issues I had no knowledge of.  I believe she was of the mind that I owed her something to the tune of $2000.00 after an erroneous eviction and compounded fees that she had been trumping up.   I had no knowledge of an eviction until a year later when I tried to rent a house and was turned down flat.  I knew nothing of the eviction or her claims and had no chance of mitigation or contesting her bullshit claims. After a year I believe it was too late to respond to a case that I obviously had forfeited by default of my absence.  Carla denied that the house was dirty when I took possession and asked me why would I make up a story like that.  She claimed I was just mad and trying to make up some cheesy response for an eviction.  Well, I just so happened to find an audio file of a phone message that she left at the time I took possession of the houses telling just the opposite situation to her incredible claims.

I saw that there were a few claims about Carla Morgan with Remax on this site so I thought I would just offer my story to say you other three claiming Carla Morgan is a two faced liar, you are not alone!  My audio clip is for you, LIVING PROOF of her anticipatory repudiation!

The Truth about Tony and this incident

AUTHOR: Cmorgan - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, March 14, 2013

Tony you know better than that!  Tony, you entered into this agreement as a professional licensed handyman.  You provided a written bid for work in exchange for paying a security deposit and rent.  You never completed the agreed work and left the home is wore shape than when you got there.  Tony was working for us as a handyman and we gave him jobs and paid out a little over $6700 to him.  So we told him about this house that needed work but the owners did not have the funds at the time; he jumped on the deal.

Yes Tony, you took the house as is because you didnt have any money and the owner was also cash poor at the time and as you know, the deal was you were supposed to do some work. The work was not getting done and you were not paying the minimal amount of money that you were supposed to pay.

So yes you were evicted.  That is what happens when you sign a deal and you dont hold up your end of it.  You knew full well that you were being evicted we gave you several warnings before we started the eviction.

The house was not clean when you left it was filthy; the yard was a mess and the swimming pool which you claimed that you knew how to take care of was deep green and looked like something from the Swamp Thing.  I have pictures Tony if you need a reminder. There was no final walk through because you skipped before the Sheriff showed up, you didnt give me the key we had to have a locksmith and of course, you didnt give a forwarding address because you were avoiding us and our phone calls.  I dont know where you came up with the idea that you had a security deposit; I suppose you thought that made your story better.  Had you kept your end of the deal with the owner and ith RE/MAX you could have still been receiving jobs and getting paid. You mistreated our owner and bit the hand that fed you.
