Remediation Group Inc. Bad Service Ethic Davies, Florida

Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

Consumers, please be aware and re-consider before you contract services with Remediation Group Inc.(RGI)!!!

I recently requested their services due to mold detected in my newly purchased condo unit. The website looks impressive and convinced. We asked one representative to come over for inspection and quote. We also conducted an indoor air testing through a third-party environmental consultant company. When we forwarded the test result to RGI, they provided a quote in a total of $2,200. We found this price reasonable and gave 50% deposit so they could start the work.

When they completed the job, the environmental consultant company came back for another testing, but the result failed due to the fact RGI did not follow the initial recommendation. We contacted RGI immediately about the result, they slapped us with another quote of $1,500. When we compared both quotes issued by RGI, I found the work scopes were exactly the same, therefore, I called RGI back and inquired why should I pay for the same works twice. After a long battles back and forth, RGI finally agreed to re-do all remediations at no additional cost, which is part of their service guaratee noted on the website.

3 days later, the environmental consultant company returned for another test, and this time the result was positive. Very shortly after we knew about the results (no more than 1 hour), RGI started harassing calls to our work places during the middle of the day to chase payments. They called our office numbers more than 10 times (both my wife's and mine) within a 30 minutes window. Throughout the time we dealt with RGI, we only gave them our cell phone numbers and we never gave out our work numbers, and RGI did not place any single call on our cell phones! So we do not feel more embarassed at our works, we had to stop everything we did and settled the payment which looked like we have been delinquent for a long period on the service charge.

I have never seen such unprofessionalism in my life and I would not use their services ever again. Very unethical the way they do business, DO NOT be fooled by their website and brochure!!!

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Mr. Yang

AUTHOR: Ruben Simpson - ()

Remediation Group, Inc. was hired by Mr. Yang to conduct a mold remediation project in his home.

Remediation Group, Inc. followed industry standards.  Critical barriers were set up, engineering controls were put in place and proper protective equipment was worn by our technicians.

During the second day of remediation a leak was found under the sink. The remediation work was stopped until the leak had been taken care of.  Mr. Yang hired an independent plumber to take care of the leak.  In the process of performing repairs, the plumber destroyed our critical barrier, potentially cross contaminating the rest of the residence.  Mr. Yang was advised of the potential problem but chose to do nothing.  It was explained to Mr. Yang that we would only be responsible for passing third party testing inside of our critical barrier.   Third party testing failed outside of our critical barrier. Once again I explained to Mr. Yang that we can only be responsible for the scope of work and clearance testing inside of our critical barrier.  Mr. Yang maintained that Remediation Group, Inc. was responsible for the cross contamination that the plumber he hired had actually caused.  In an effort to keep this customer happy, Remediation Group initiated a hard surface decontamination in the living and dining room areas at no additional cost.

Remediation Group, Inc. then paid for additional post remediation testing and passed.  Mr. Yang then ignored our attempts to contact him to collect the balance due, threatening to contact the Better Business Bureau and write a complaint on this website.  Obviously the issue is not with the work performed by Remediation Group, but rather with the fact that Mr. Yang wanted Remediation Group to reduce or waive his invoice.

Ultimately Mr. Yang paid Remediation Group, Inc. for our services in full and signed a Certificate of Satisfaction.
