This is the WORST company I've EVER had the displeasure of dealing with. The employees at the Crescent Street store are the most arrogant, rude, inconsiderate, unprofessional and STUPID bunch of individuals I've ever dealt with in my life. They must be completely miserable in life to treat other human beings the way they do. Not to mention, they call my place of employment and harass my coworkers. And the laptop I purchased is a piece of s***.
On top of that, I've paid about 3 or 4 times over what I would have if I had just bought the product outright. They hit you with ridiculous late charges, unnecessary fees, etc. So if your bill is $80 for two weeks, you'll be lucky to have paid $50 of the real bill. This company is getting rich off of the poor and desperate. It's DISGUSTING what they do. I'd rather have a loan shark on my back. They WILL NOT EVER get my business again, I'm telling everyone I know to stay away from them, and if I were you, I'd stay away from them as well.

I have to agree RAC does prey on the poor, and I think it's one of the most unethical businesses today. My particular store manager only helps out who she wants to and I have personally seen her steal merchandise that has been charged off. Worse yet she had me repossess low remaining value merchandise (less than $50) from costumers and then the next day it's nowhere to be found and off the books. Yes, that means she took it home with her. RAC is filled with nothing but crooks, from the top dogs and all the way down the line.
The products ARE second rate, way over priced, and we are always servicing them no matter what that product is. We will recieve products right off the truck that are damaged or that have been refurbished like the Apple products at RAC, and I think RAC does this purposely to keep the customers coming back. Not to mention the prices. The prices are ridicules and I'm talking about the 90 days same as cash price. Here is an example. At RAC you can get a Acer A200 tablet for just the low, low price of around $700 (90 days same as cash). You can get the same tablet at Best Buy for under $300 and it's not going to be a second rate factory reject given to RAC from the manufacturer. Want to go the full term with that Acer tablet? Well, you will end up paying over $1400 and you could have bought almost five of them. RAC is REALLY bleeding that turnup dry. When you do get that tablet from RAC they will have to service it for you within about two to three weeks after you getting it because it's junk. There is not one product from RAC that I have not had to pick up for service. Furniture, Computers, Eletronics, it's all junk at RAC.
RAC should be ashamed of themselves. How is all of this helping out people who couldn't normally afford these products? It is becuase of this I'm currently look for a new job. And what is Troy Aikmen thinking? They must be paying him alot of money to back up RAC with his name. Hulk Hogan, I could care less about him. I'll body slam him into next week, that old fart. Your best bet is to stay away from RAC they will take you for everything you've got and more.

Notice the progression of the original post...They are no good...they are thieves...the product is no good. Ah yes, then we have the WAILING about late fees and there's the reason for the posting. The whiner is complaining about COLLECTION efforts because the WHINER failed to make payments on time. He/she thinks they are so, so, so clever to try to run down the company when in reality the problem is they object to the COLLECTIONS efforts. Apparently they feel ENTITLED to the merchandise without making on time payments. You sorry, stinking, subprime welfare types are a blight on society!

Your title says they are thieves, so where is the theft? What did the police say when you report this theft to them?
Of course the police aren't called, mainly because it's a big company against the largely unaware masses. The profit that this company is making is ridiculous. There's no reason they should be making over 100% more profit than even a regular retail store.

- Well there's is a simple solution to those "ridiculous late charges"..don't pay the bill late. Of course if you have a tendency to pay your bill late, then that answers why you had to go to them in the first place. So what are some of the other "unnecessary fees"
Perfect example. My bill was due on a Sunday. The store isn't open on Sunday. Thus, I got charged a late fee for not paying my bill on Sunday, even though they weren't open on Sunday for me to pay. This is absolutely ridiculous to me.
By the way people that are "poor and desperate" don't go around buying laptop computers.
Umm, are you sure? Where did you get this information from? You're either ridiculously wealthy to the point that you've never even associated with an impoverished person, or you have your head stuck so far up your a*s that you're completely blinded. Who else is going to readily agree to pay WAY more than retail price except for poor people? This is also why they don't credit check. And the majority of their stores are in poorer neighborhoods.
