My wife and I were looking for a certain kind of bed for my two girls. we could not find them anywhere, so we began to look online. we found the bed we were looking for through Rent-A-Center In Georgetown Ohio. I am usually not a rent to own type of guy but we really wanted this bed. The techs came down and set it up for us, the next morning we noticed a severe rash on both of my daughters. I looked on the bed and there were Hundreds upon hundreds of bed bugs. I own a very well respected Carpet Cleaning Company in my home town so I see this all the time. I contacted Rent a center and they called me a liar and said it came from my home not them I had just built that room and finished laying the new carpet one day before they delivered the bed. I am putting a law suit against this company this is bull. Dont buy from this company Its never there fault on nothing they say........... But thats thier tail Im sitting on mine.

Thank You a very ticked off customer

Could go either way

I've been with the company for almost 2 years and have had only 2 complaints of bed bugs. One of them i think already had them because we took her couch and love seat into her house still in the box and plastic and she called 2 days later saying we gave her bed bugs. Don't know how other stores operate but at our store all the brand new furniture is stored in a totally different room then the used stuff. So the likely hood she got it from us is very very slim. The other person had her furniture over 7 months and then claimed we gave them to her...please. Her husband is a trucker and stays hotel to hotel so that's likely where they came from.

Typically they are supposed to clean previously rented merchandise. Mattresses tend to fall through the gap, Two years i've worked there I've never seen them clean a mattress and usually they are stored next to other used mattresses, couches and appliances. So even if it's a new product the chances of it being infested with vermin is pretty high. Considering about 80% of the products I've picked up has had at least roaches.

i am not involved in other than i know the habits of bedbugs, they do not sit in the open to see hundreds as post states

Bedbugs travel easily and quickly along pipes and boards, and their bodies are very flat, which allows them to hide in tiny crevices. In the daytime, they tend to stay out of the light, preferring to remain hidden in such places as mattress seams, mattress interiors, bed frames, nearby furniture, carpeting, baseboards, inner walls, tiny wood holes, or bedroom clutter

story don't sound right, rent-a-center only place in the world with this bed//
