Sadly, after doing business with the Rent A Center on 4877 Memorial Drive
Stone Mountain, GA I realize they are crooks and Rip Offs. This I had a feeling of but normally got my merchandise, paid it off in 90 days. 

In fact before Ashley furniture stopped allowing you to pay off in 90 days, I purchased a whole living room suit in 90 days through RAC credit. They do not do that anymore so don't waste your time because you will have to pay the whole rental fee along with the inflated price.

Anyway, this last time my washer went out and I decided to go ahead and get the washer from RAC since it was less than 20 bucks per hour.

To start, the washer was some kind of computer run washer that did not work and the store kept trying to convince me that it was operator error.

Aside from the fact that they sent one little man to deliver this thing, the person that came out reluctantly could not get it to work either. Finally, after a week of my complaining they came to get it and I opted for the least expensive one as a replacement.

Instead of them either refunding my account or crediting for the bad week, they decided to hide the payment in the form of some benefit club membership that I did not want.
They continued to do this and I did not realize it until I advanced paid by several weeks and they called me saying I was late. 

At that time, I informed them I was not late and they insisted I pay the late fee and when I actually realized what was going on with the club benefit, I told them to remove it and refund the money to my account.

They agreeed so I thought it had been taken care of!

Unfortunately, that was wishful thinking because I ended up with more late fees as I continued to make my payment without including the amount for the club benefit.

I then told them I wont make anymore payments until they fix my account and credit it. I was told at that point they would not fix the account and I could not get the money back. 

I told them to have Stoney(the manager) to call me which he did not do for well over two weeks. I went up to the store to speak with him with no results.

At that point I stopped paying!

Why should I keep up my end of the bargain while getting ripped off and my money stolen from me. Plus, I had put so much money into this dryer and I was not about to back off.

Now just prior to this I told them I was moving and needed them to move the washer to the new location. To make a long story short, the guy told me to move it to the new location and did not even take my new address when I tried to give it to them. 

Not too long after that I got into a bad car accident which sent everything haywire and we had to just leave the washer in the old house beause of the injuries. Noone could pick that thing up and I was not going to pay for someone to move it when they are supposed to do it.

Now they are calling me like crazy!

This is their fault! Not mine! I lost money as a result of their thieft and now I guess so have they!
And I could care less!
