entered the dealership approx. a year ago - had a co-signer. both her and I were told that following 12 consecutive payments, she would be able to go off contract as co-signer- that ended up being untrue. also, wound up paying $15,370.00 for a used 2013 KIA Rio with over 23,000 miles on it. In essence, the co-signer and I were taken advantage of both in terms of what we were told- and certainly, on the overall price of this vehicle.

If the "her" in your report made on time payments, there's nothing stopping her from applying for a loan elsewhere to refi the car and get you off the contract. However, if she has continued to be a subprime borrower, or you are heavily upside down in the deal, that won't happen.
As for the price...guess what? Even in your part of the world they show you the contract which contains all the figures! That's the time to bi--- about the price rather thasn AFTER you agreed to that price!
