We have been customers of Rentway for about 2 years. In January the manager told us that if we had any problems paying that they were going to start giving extensions. So here it is May 2003.
Well we had a hard time and we are only 1 day late and I had called the store to ask if we could get extension. Well for some reason its not available to us so I went the next level up and the next all we got were arguments. Well you see my husband works for Rent A Center, so this I heard from all the managers, so I feel a little discriminated.
It says in our contract that if we could get our payments reduced if we are below a certain amount, which we are well over, we didn't get that either. I have cried and argued so much that finally I said forget it, I went in paid our weekly payment and since we only owed 100.00 on our TV I paid that off, I can't believe that have done nothing to help us.
We are paid into our accounts well over half way and nothing. We have had poor service or should I say no service. When I had brought this to the regional managers attention he said he would have them come out and get it taken care of! Nobody yet and when I went in to make my payment nothing was even said. What choices do I have. Our refrigerator we bought brand new, we only owe 300.00 on. They never had to come after us for payments.
So I guess if you come across a hard time your screwed. They had even asked us to go down our list of bills and find something else not to pay. My husband had then called them and the same thing all they did was argue with him saying he was the competition. Well my husband just works for Rent A Center and our personal affairs doesn't have anything to do with where he works. Is this discrimination? What choices do I have.
