Simply, i bought a RCA 37 inch tv from rentway. Then on the day i made my last payment, i turned off tv to go rent way. When i got back it would not come back on. Just a thin red line on screen.

I went back to see what they would do for me, since i had been a loyal customer for 6-7 years. Spent a lot more money on thing than they were worth. They told me i was basicly a*s out, and have a nice day.

Im not the only person who had a item like yv sterio pc crap out with in a month of the last payment. I was under the impresson i was paying for insurance the whole time. like 2 years extended. Got told that was for while i was paying for it.

Thats crap, as long as i was paying they had to cover it.
But i know im not the only one whos been assended by rentway in this manner.

And, well, yea, the RTO prices are very steep for what a person gets. We never bought there, and I will do without before we ever will.

they do rent crappy stuff

I rented an inflatable woman from RAC. While enjoying her company late one night, the air cap popped open and she made a flatulating noise so loud that my wife bolted up and caught me red-handed. I was asked to leave the bed immediately and had to sleep in the garage.

In addition, I caught VD from my blow up doll. And my wife is really pissed about that. She thinks I got it from our next door neighbor, but he's clean.

I'll never rent from RAC again.

Even after your last payment, They still cover service for 30 days. Did you look into that?

I have sat hear and read both sides of Rent to Own and guys come on. In life, the people with the best credit get the best deals period. The higher your credit the better deals you get on interest rates, credit cards, loans etc... As our credit slips with life throwing us some curve balls (Some that we create ourselves, others that we couldnt control) forces us to take alternative measures such as Rent to own.

I have worked in the R.T.O buisness as well as have been a customer. The only people that I have seen mostly that are mad by the phone calls are the people who always pay late. People if you see (in the world of caller id) that someone has called regardless if you have the money at the time call them back and just say i dont have it. Folks it's that simple. Discuss some payment arrangements be sincere on when you can realistically pay and the phone calls go away. I mean this is a buisness. If you have a car payment and are habitually late you lose your car. If times really have you down and money just won't stretch that far I know its a last result but just return it untill times are better. The company you are dealing with wants you to be a customer as much as you want to keep the item you are renting but in life somtimes its just beyond our control.

I know not all the stores that you do buisness with are the same. But in my instance the staff I dealt with were sincere in wanting to retain my buisness. Over time I built a rapore with my local establishment and is how I eventually became an employee. I have since left this industry as a better opportunity with more financial opportunities came my way but I was happily employed for over 5 years. I would honestly tell you that about 98% of our customers were good hard working folks.
