Purchased a new touch screen from Repair Universe to replace the completely smashed screen on my HTC Inspire 4G. After I completed the installation I noticed that only half of teh touch screen would work. The entire screen worked before I broke the old screen.

I contacted customer service and they just repeated the same line they tell everyone else - all products are new and tested before being shipped. I asked them to send out another one under warranty a.s.a.p. They told me that they would only accept my sending teh screen back to them so they could test it and then they would send out another if it proved faulty. Really ? How many of this companies employee's would like to go weeks without their cell phones ? I got fed up and finally purchased a new touch screen from a reputable company and it arrived in one day.

I installed it and it worked perfectly. I contacted Repair Universe once again to request a refund if I send them back their faulty merchandise. They said that they cannot refund my money because the product had been installed. How do they think I found out it was faulty ??? Did you send me a screen for the purpose of not installing it ? Their explanation is rediculous ! I properly installed the touch screen and it was in fact faulty. I installed a different vendors touch screen the exact same way and it worked perfectly !

Go figure. Again, all they will say is that they test every product before it gets shipped out. What they test it for or with is beyond me but you can tell from their rebuttals on various web sites that their answer to every complaint of faulty merchandise is to repeat the same excuse. I'm not out to burn anybody here, but I get tired of bad customer service and the attitude that the customer is always wrong. I want people to know up front what they may have to deal with if they purchase from this company. If anybody wants to buy a new faulty touch screen, I know where you can get one.
