2 years ago I bought a digital camera and a warranty through Repair Tech. The camera broke a month and a half ago, so I contacted Repair Tech to fix it. The message said I would be on hold for 2 minutes. 30 minutes later I got ahold of a VERY RUDE customer represenative name Jason. He looked up my membership ID and my file and said that my 3 year warrany expired in Dec 2007.
I said no it didn't, I have the receipt right here that says it is a 3 year warranty, bought in 2005, so therefore it expires in Dec. 2008. ( This was during October 2008 ) So he told me to fax a copy of the reciept to him and he would call me back right away. The fax kept saying the other line was busy, and it wouldnt go through.
After 11 tries, I got the fax to go through. So waited 5 hours and never heard from him. I called back, this time talked to a Michelle and she did the same thing and had me fax her a copy of my reciept, that proved my warranty was still up to date. She said she would call me back and I said Id rather stay on the line since Jason never called me back. She said Ok and put me on hold for 20 minutes while she "went through my file, and contacted a manager about my situation" so when she came back on the line she said a manager would have to call me back but she assured me it would be later that day.
I waited a week and never heard back from them. I emailed the company several times. I called back about 10 days later and tried to re-start from the beginning with my claim with someone new, and they said since Michelle was the one who was helping me before, I could only go through her and no one else was available to help me. I asked for a manager and they said I would have to go through Michelle first. So i said so youre telling me that this person who supposedly helped me before, that dropped the ball and I havnt heard from is the only one I can go through to get help?
"Yup" was the response I got to that question. I said somebody better call me back this week, cause this has gone on for 3 weeks now, and if I dont hear back from your company within the next week, I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. No one responded, so I filed a complaint with BBB and so far the company hasnt responded to them either. This is the worst customer service I have ever recieved, and on top of that 2 of the 3 represenatives I talked to were extremely rude. Dont waste your time or money on this company!
