Republic Services It's only trash collection-why can't they get it right Elyria Ohio

It's only trash collection yet it seems too complicated for this companies employees-curb side and office. They 

keep changing their rules as an excuse not to take your trash. If they worked half as hard just removing the trash

as they do thinking of reasons not to-we'd all be better off. The office staff is unusally rude-don't listen, won't

believe their drivers did anything wrong, refuse to transfer you to someone else for help-probably because no

one will. They leave half the garbage scattered on the street, force us to use their containers and can't use our own

if we have an overflow-forced to hold it till next week-very unsanitary. They don't collect our garbage because

another location is on strike, yet never reimburse us for the weeks they missed. They have missed our whole

street on multiple occassions. They force us to pay by attaching their bills to our water bill/taxes etc... No other

business does this-is it even legal? I think they do this because they know we won't pay them when they don't 

do their jobs. We wouldn't pay any other business if they pulled this stuff. Their billing method now takes away any

recourse the customer should have. I encourage everyone that is unhappy with the repeated lousy service of this

company to contact their city leaders and let them know you don't want their services anymore and you don't 

want to be blackmailed by their billing practices. Don't let them become a complete monopoly. We are

Americans and our voices must be heard. Our city tells us this is the cheapest way because they have the 

automated trucks-yet the price keeps going up. Who's fooling who. I know I am seeing more businesses

in our city having other collectors coming for their trash as they aren't happy with Republic either. I think

this speaks volumes. Residents should have the same rights. There are other companies around-let's see

if we can't help them grow. Maybe they will apprecicate and respect the customer as Republic does not.
