I ordered a resume package for $197 on Friday the 22nd of April.  I was promised I would recieve my professional resume plus a few additional formats and a cover sheet within 3 days.  On Tuesday the 26th of April  I still had not had anyone contact me about getting my documents to create the resume so I called and they transferred me to Justin.  He said that he did not even see my order in the system.  I was embarrassed because I had done a lot of reseach and had assumed I called the wrong company asking about my resume by mistake.  After giving them my confimation code they found my order and appolozied for delay #1.

After I submitted all my documentation I was told I would have my resume by Thursday the 28th of April.  I called on Wednesday the 27th just to make sure they had no questions about the information I sent them but they said everything was fine.  Thursday came and went with no resume.  I called on Friday and they promised it to me by the end of the day.  Friday came and went with no resume.

The following week (Monday) I addressed my concerns with Justin and he said my resume was being edited by personnel in Tenessee and they were affected pretty bad by the recent tornadoes and lost computer access and that is why I did not have a reume.  For my troubles he said he would include a Thank-you letter for free and I would have it by the end of the day.

There were tornados and when I did not get it again on Monday I did not call Tuesday and gave them the extra time.  Wednesday I still had no resume and I called Justin at 9am.  He said he would check on my resume and he appologized for the delay, he said he would call me right back.  I called him back at noon wondering why he did not return my call and he said he had just got off the phone with my editor in Calofornia and it took a while to get ahold of her due to the time zone difference.  I thought mine went to an editor in Tenessee...

Last week after still no resume Justin told me they would refund my money and they would still do my resume for free.  It is almost 3 weeks now and I have neither a resume nor my refund.  When I called him he said that since it is now a free resume that the paying customers are now their top priorities and I should be happy with a free resume.   I told him if it was about that to just send me the unedited copy so I had something to work with so I can begin applying for jobs.  I still have nothing.

I am separating soon from the military after 7 years of service, I need that resume.

No threats

AUTHOR: TLF9185 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 25, 2011

I did not threaten the company in any way.  Justin called asking I file a rebuttal against my original post saying they made everything better by giving me a refund and saying I recieved a report free of charge.  I told them I would write a rebuttal saying it was fine if I recieved the documents he promised me free of charge.  He said he would only give me the documents AFTER I wrote on here I already recieved them and I was happy with the product.  I knew he was not reliable so I said I would not do it and that if I wrote a new one it would reflect that I only got a refund but the promise was still broken and I am still a dissatisfyed customer.  He was thretening me saying I was defaming his name and company if I did not say I was ultimately satisfied and recieved eveything his company promised me.

He is a liar and a rip-off.  He was threatening me.  After 3 weeks with no refund was the only time I told him I was going to seek legal advise to get my money back...that is all and anyone would have done the same after giving someone almost $200 for a product never recieved that was guaranteed in 3 days.  He was the one threatening me with legal defamation suits for posting what happened on this site.  I am a dissatidfied customer and this comany is not reliable.

Professional Help

Thousands of people utilize our service per year because of the expert touch that we are able to place on each of their documents. Much of our client base comes specifically from referrals of prior clients who experienced success utilizing our company's services.

As oppossed to "free" formats online, people prefer that we spend the time crafting their documents, deciding what format/style is most appropriate for their given situation, and finessing their information in an articulate manner.

Regardless of profession or industry, there are online "manuals" for everything. There are surely manuals on how to fix your plumbing or fix your car, but people go to professionals because of their education and training, and their prior history of successfully completing each task.

We write thousands of resumes a year for clients, and the vast majority are EXTREMELY pleased with the services we provide them.

With all the resumes online to take example from,  as well as cover letters, and books on this very subject FREE from the library, why do people continue to pay for this so-called service???

Issue Resolved

AUTHOR: ResumeMyCareer.com - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, May 19, 2011

We refunded Tracey for the full amount of her transaction. She then demanded that we send her the completed documents for free, and threatened that she would continue writing negative things about us if she did not receive the documents. This is a violation of RipoffReport's guidelines. We have chosen to end all communication with her after her extensive threats.

We resolved the issue by refunding Tracey her money. Again, we wish her nothing but the best going forward, and do not want to engage in a verbal argument.

We write thousands of resumes per year for individuals who are quite satisfied with our services, have a very positive experience, and experience great results.

Never use this company!

Last Friday I contacted Justin around 0900 asking where my refund was and if he could please send the unedited copy of my resume (yet again) becuase I still had not recieved anything.  He said the check was in the mail for $197 and he would even have accounting contact me to confirm sent payment.  He had mentioned it was tracked then when I asked for a tracking number be began backtracking saying he does not think his company uses tracking numbers.  He then offered to cancel the check and send the money via pay pal instantly.  I said I would like that very much then inquired if I would have my document by the end of the duty day and he said yes then appologized for the whole inconvenient process.  Before hanging up I asked him to send me an e-mail stating I was recieving payment that day via PayPal (he did and I have that e-mail on file).  End of day came and went still no refund or documents.

This morning I came into work still upset over not reciving anything so I sent I reply to the e-mail he sent me on Friday stating that I felt ripped off and I was going to seek legal advise on what to do to get my funds back.  Less than 30 minutes after I sent the e-mail he calls me (first time he has called me, not the other way around) asking about the payment.  Justin then promptly refunds my money via PayPal and I saw the transaction finally go through on my account.  I finally had my money back!  I asked him about the documents and he said they were still on he just needed to speak with his colleague about them before he sent them.  I said fine and we hung up.

This afternoon I still had not recieved the documents but instead a call from Justin (two in one day!) making me aware he knew I posted on this site last week about him.  He told me that if I posted a rebuttal saying everything was okay he would send me the documents.  I told him I would post it once I recieved the documents because at this time I don't think if I posted something I would really recieve anything (just like all the other empty promises).  He started to get very argumentative with me so I told him this conversation is over and I hung up.

He called back twice and the second time I picked up.  The argument continued and he wanted me to take back what I said and tell everyone I got my refund so that made everything better.  He said if I didn't that they have legal counsel at his company as well that would "get me" for defamation of character and readvised me that I was being recorded right now.

I told him I was fine with beign recoreded and that unless the documents were sent first I would post exactly what happened.  I told him not to call me again and now I will go through another company.

All in all even if they do mess up your order it was not worth a 3 week wait to now have to go to another company and redo the interview etc...  I paid almost $200 to have my resume professionally written because I am busy with my current job.  I am desperately seeking employment elsewhere in preparation for my separation from this military and I thought this company would make things easier.  If anything they have increased my frustrations, provided horrible customer service, and lost me 3 whole weeks of job seeking opportunities.  Please avoid this company at all costs.
