Having recently moved to California, I have been job huntiing rather aggressively for the 3 months. My resume hasnt been seeming to land me openings worth having, and so I decided to try out a resume writing service to see if they could give a professional touch. Last night I filled out all of my information for them to use to write me a resume, submitted my payment, and noticed immediately in my bank account that I was charged an extra $40 dollars on top of the $89.

I filled out the form online and emailed the company numerous times to please cancel my order, with no response. I then tried calling the company, almost 30 times. All I recieved was an automated response telling me that all the representatives were busy but that they would get back with me. Still, noone has got back to me. 

I tried calling and texting the number provided for Mr. Andrew Greenstein, and still, no response. 

I have read nothing but terrible, terrible reviews of this website, and I do not wish to conduct business with you. I find it very frustrating that I have now tried three different means to contact this company, and have spent all of this time to no avail. Perhaps you indeed are a legitimate company, with a legitimate product. However, there is something very unsettling about not being able to reach someone about my order, either by phone or online, and I want my order cancelled.

My name is Joshua Michael Blum, and I want to CANCEL my order. I want the money that is pending is my account to be returned, and for this issue to not persist any further than today.

Last June I wrote a report about ResumeWritingGroup, all before they responded to me in kindness and took care of requests. They did not fail to help me out and honor my request, which was to refund money. I forgot to come back on here and remove my report of them, and now that I finally have, i cannot figure out how to do. i have emailed Ripoff Report to remove it, and Im leaving this review here. The president was understanding of my situation when I contacted him, and his company did refund my money. I do not wish for there to be a negative review from me on this site.

Dear Joshua,

  Thank you for your order and sorry for your apparent dissatisfaction. It is important for me to clarify several things for readers:

*You placed an order at 12:05:02 *AM* Eastern Standard Time on June 18

*The reason you were charged the extra $39.95 was you selected--even if by accident--to add the extended download/future resume edit service-- This is easily removed and this was itemized in the receipt emailed to you.

*You immediately began calling the company repeatedly ---after midnight (or nearly 10pm in your local time zone). You got our voice mail....You left messages.

*At that time, you sent me a text message requesting to cancel. I was away on an anniversary vacation overseas with my wife but I still responded to you within just a few hours and I told you that I passed your request along to the on-duty manager--- even from my vacation thousands of miles away. You and I both use Iphones with Imessaging and the status of that message shows as "Delivered" (successfully to you).

*Our service personnel also replied to you overnight by email within a few hours to let you know that they removed the $40/extra service you did not want and had refunded you.

*The very next morning, Marilyn Somerset went to call you--but also got the message I had passed along to cancel your full order--and she refunded it.

While I appreciate your business and regret your cancellation, I am proud of the speed at which our personnel handled your situation. There are countless well-known, highly reputable online companies that would've taken days to even reply to you with a form letter, Joshua! Within about 12 hours, the company president replied to your text message from a personal vacation, one representative emailed you, and another representative phoned you AND refunded you in full. I'm sorry that you got to miss out on our excellent resume writing service which does have an enormous customer satisfaction rate but it appears-- (understandably based on the reviews here)--that you placed an order...saw a disrepancy--and panicked-- When you didn't receive instant gratification in the middle of the night, you began texting me and posting here--- I can certainly empathize with your angst but for others who may be reading this, I must state that if you call me and text me personally 1, 2--or even 30 times in the middle of the night, you may* not get an instantaneous response --particularly if I happen to be home with my family sleeping. You will ALWAYS get a same day response from me --and our customer service department will always either* be there for you immediately or within just a few hours. ANYONE READING THIS is welcome to call or text message me at 352-250-4220 PRIOR to ordering to see how well this works and how prompt and thorough I really am!
