Rey's Pizza #2 I was also taxed for a so called Homeless Tax of 1%. This is ridiculous! How many people are they ripping off. I would never have noted if I didn't look at my receipt! Another way of making extra money under the cover of Was not aware that this fast food place charges Homeless Tax Miami Florida

Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...
After reviewing the receipts in my wallet, I noticed I was charged a 1% "Homeless Tax" for food purchased from this establishment. Although it was only a small amount, this chain is making extra money collecting this so-called tax and probably keeping the money! When I called, the employees have no idea what this is for and hung up on my call.

The 1 percent Homeless Tax has been in effect in your are since 1993! The only places in the Miami-Dade area not paying it are Surfside, Bal Harbour and Miami Beach (they already have something else in place to aid the homeless).
The Homeless Trust gets 85% of the monies and 15% goes towards domestic violence causes. I suggest you go to Yahoo or Google and type in restaurant homeless tax and educate yourself. If you have doubts this restaurant is turning over the monies, then why not check into it before posting such a defaming report?!
