The Roberts Company (Santa Monica California) their buidling on 8725 Clifton Way in Beverly Hills, California has been one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life. Granted the building is old circa 1961. I moved in a year or so ago and my life is chaotic because of the building problems and poor management-they just don't care. A few months ago if I were not here-my second floor apartment leaked from the third floor into my kitchen-poop and toilet paper emerged into my kitchen sink. They still haven't fixed the walls where the leak ran down my walls nor the ceiling and the Manager lies stating he knew nothing about this.  The Manager said someone would come and fix the ceilings and the rug in the dining room where this leaked-they hever did-as not to get mold or mildew I paid for this and asked them to pay it-they never responded. I have photos of it all. In the hallway-there was a flood-not once but 3 times-it was raining in my hallway for a month-the floors were disgusting-the rugs were ruined. I told the Manager about this-he told me to fix this. One night my kitchen sink was clogged and I called the Manager-and he said-no one could come out-he told me to buy bleach and see if that would work?  Meanwhile the kitchen ran for hours and hours until the next day until someone came and said it was the 3rd floor leaking again.  The company is trying to charge for a clogged toilet-which is insanity-in the renters code-it states in California-one has to have a good running toilet. Snf I should NOT have to pay for this!!!!  My battroom walls are peeling so badly that they are bubbling up into the 3rd apartment and I can see where their floor boards. I reported this-again the Manager lied and said I didn't.  The Manager tells so many lies he cannot remember them-so I get everything in writing and or I take video and photos. In these leaks my furniture has been ruined-the smells are awful.  

The company-is slow on depositing checks-and or they can't find my rent check-now they have sent me a bill of l2 late charges after two years of living here-and when I tried to tell them-that I sent them in before the first-they told me-I didn't that they are charging me 50 bucks-now I have to certify all mail to the company. My children live here with me-and the hallway where the garbage is stinks like a dump-there is an open dumpster full of little bugs and flies-everytong who comes over asks me what they awful smell is? You don't want to eat while the garbage is ferementing into your nostrils. I callled THE HEALTH BOARD and they are coming out next week.  They have roaches here two inches long-they sound like mice as they run through the apartment. 

The Manager is a femaie but the husband is the one who takes all the calls-she is mean and nasty and it's always your fault when we do see her.

To sum this up-I don't recomment anyone living in these apartments on Clifton Way in Beverly Hills-there are monthly leaks, lots of bugs, the smells from the garbage are that of a dump. The Manager lies, you won't get your deposit back because they blame you for all their mishaps. The place is a dump. All your food needs to be in double wrapping in the pantry because the dumpster bugs are really hungry-there are ants everywhere...and those large roaches...are disgusting. They try to make you pay for their problems.  This company does not care about you-even though you pay close to 3k a month. If poop is in your kitchen sink they ask: "What did you do?"  The Manager has told us to move out if we are not happy and that is what my husband and I did. Also, they will charge you for late rent checks because they can't find them or they got lost in the mail. This ruins your credit.  I'm glad I'm out living in a better place on Burton Way in Beverly Hills with my family.
