RHYTHM USA SMALL WORLD RHYTHM USA HAS NO PARTS TO FIX MY BROKEN CLOCK Atlanta Georgia

I bought my clock back in 1996. Recently the chimes stopped working. When I opened up the clock, I noticed that one of the batteries leaked onto the ciruit board that controls the chiming mechanisim. I looked up the manufactuer on the Internet and found that Rhythm USA is the only company in the United States that fixes my type of clock. I repeatedly called for 4 days straight. I was either told that the techs were on lunch or I got a voicemail with instructions to leave a message and someone would get back to me. Finally, I got to the point where I finally spoke with an operator and vented my frustration that I could not get a repair person to call me back. I was put on hold and then a gentleman got on the phone and I explained to him my clock's issue. Within a second he told me that there was nothing they could do because my clock was discontinued and that they dont make anymore parts for it! I was shocked! You mean to tell me that the only company that supposidly fixes my type of clock doesnt make parts for it??? It's a clock and not a car! Clocks dont go thru wear and tear and how is it that you dont make aftermarket or have parts on hand to fix all types of clocks??? This is unacceptable and outrageous!
