Right On Time Locksmith fraudulent business practices, deceptive estimate, no response Glendale California

I contacted Right on Time Locksmith on Monday, March 17, 2008. I was looking for an estimate to re-key 2 locks at our new commercial location. On the phone, they quoted me $35 for a service call, plus $18-and-up for each of the two locks.

Taking into account the and-up portion of the estimate, I expected the charges to be around $100. They did NOT tell me that there is a per-hour labor charge on top of the service call fee. They did NOT tell me that commercial locks are NEVER $18. They did NOT tell me that there is a remote possibility that the total would near $400!

I was unable to stay at the premises with their technician and my husband stayed there while he worked. When he finished his work, he charged my husband $392.29, which is extremely exorbitant and far beyond the estimate they gave me.

That evening, I spoke with them and expressed my dissatisfaction. They informed me I needed to talk to a supervisor named Mike and left a message for him to call me back the following day. He did not. I called again for Mike on Tuesday and left another message. Again, he did not call me back. Wednesday when I called, I asked for Mikes last name and was told by the lady who answered the phone that she doesnt even know it its really complicated. I asked for a FAX number, and she gave that to me. I sent a FAX to Mike on March 19, requesting that he contact me back by March 20. He did not.

I am very frustrated at the fraudulent business practices of this merchant. I was given a deceptive estimate and received no response when I tried to contact the merchant on 4 separate occasions to resolve this. I hope ripoffreport.com can help me others not do business with thi company.
